My toe nails are pretty short, I don't bother with them since they grow extremely slowly. (or they break off and I don't notice) I used to bite my nails as a kid but I started getting into nail polish at age 11 so luckily I stopped. I love doing nail art for myself and my friends. Slightly more expensive than the stuff I get from the drugstore, but some really pretty colours there. | I take care of my nails. They're long, and I always put nailpolish on. Love to try many kind of colours. I wouldn't say nails are that important but... It enhances the way you look when they're neat. |
| I like longer nails and I usually keep mine fairly long. Short nails make me fingers look fat and it makes it harder to me to grab flat and/or tiny things. I don't paint mine or anything though. Don't see the point in doing so. |

I think Seche Vite has a good top coat because it dries really fast, but I get shrinkage from it. I like China Glaze, Essie, and Zoya (Zoya has the least offensive smell imo). Saw this chart yesterday comparing nail polish prices to how many fl. oz you actually get per bottle and Chanel is way up there in fourth. I'm so cheap I don't have any top coat at the moment, just ran out of whatever cheap brand I bought last time. In a way I buy cheap nail polish because I can 'afford' to - unlike skin products where I will willingly pay exorbitant prices. I know my nails won't suffer if I use cheap polish, unlike my skin, which will break out in angry red spots if I use cheap makeup. My preferred foundation & concealer is from MAC, but that's a discussion for another thread, haha. |
