Back to being plain bad. How can people like this? I'll finish it because I've started it just like Boruto but I wish I'd never started any of the two.

After coming back to anime during winter break, this is the first thing I watched, and this was a great choice. This is probably the best anime this year

I don't Gojo and Geto to walk in different paths. Geto's perspective of thinking to create a world for only sorcerers is good but it needs a lot of courage to accept and start killing them.

I really felt sad as Geto departs from Gojo. Gojo is seeing his past in Yuji, Nobara and Megumi

Where’s Yuji?! It’s too early to pull this. I don’t care enough about these characters to be invested in this yet.

An amazing arc. It was really cool (and sad) seeing Geto evolve into the guy we know him as, Gojo meeting Fushiguro was sweet and I just loved this arc. It was really fun, shocking moments but just great.

Arc ended!
- it’s the Toji girl! She’s a special grade?
- Poor Nanami
- Gojo was really ready to hollow purple that whole area….
- Geto starts his villain life
- Are those two girls the teens in from the movie?
- Lil Megumi!
- Finally, the Gojo squad! I assume this arc will be about the attack Geto is planning where he will seal Gojo

I bet Gojo feels responsible for Geto's 'fall out'. That's why he didnt killed him, he feels its his fault. Now we're back at present, I missed the og trio!

Holy shit the build up from this prequel arc and the movie was great. All the factors that lead Geto to how he is now.

The conflicted thoughts of Geto...now I get it, but still. You can't kill all the people only because there are evil between them right? He lost it. I get that Goujo after what happened with Geto and that he lost a friend he started to get more involved with the students and the people around him. Yeah, he knows he's the strongest but at the same time now he knows is not invincible and that he can't avoid certain facts. That incident obviously still drags him around time to time and he now think that he should change things from the institution by teaching, the right way that Geto couldn't find. Despite all the things he went through now he's surrounded with other precious people for him, now you can protect them Goujo without making mistakes

This show continues to have very interesting aspects yet fail to really tie anything together satisfactorily. Getous transformation feels very forced and abrupt. Everything that has happened in this arc aside from a few cool battle scenes feels rushed and its a shame because the characters are done pretty well.

We finally see Suguru's roots of evil (or justice in his mind) and we catch up to the present at last!

I have to be honest, Jujutsu Kaisen has been on hold for me since episode 2 or so released, I just found it (and season 1) boring, I watched episodes 3 and 4 like 3 months apart from each other, this is the first episode I have enjoyed and I love it.

Excellent episode, so Geto came into conflict with his ideals after the mission to escort Riko and failed at it.

What was presented honestly is nothing "new", a person who had certain ideals completely changes after X events.

In this case, Geto asked himself why do I do this, why do I eat vomit and shit rags (curses) to help these monkeys who don't even say thank you and only seek their personal benefits?
The idea he brings up, was generated thanks to Jennifer Lawrence hahaha and ends up culminating with his choice to save the girls (which we saw in the movie) and kill everyone in town.

While on the other end we have Gojou who gained experience and improved his skills and continues to improve but didn't see how his best friend went down in the dark, possibly Gojou regrets this.... I think

Now the plan to kill the humans until they evolve and become witches and no more curses, I think it can be done but I don't know how far it will work.

What is going to happen when babies are born without cursed energy, they can't be witches? I guess eliminate them but if the parents don't want to there will be war and etc. Basically what I'm getting at is that you eliminate one problem but in the end another will be born haha.

Come to think of it, Maki will generate curses... my mind is already a bit confused about how things work.
When I saw Nanami complaining in the morgue that the mission was 1st rank instead of 2nd rank, I automatically said: Haibara died no? said and done... he died, I love that sometimes they tell you or show you things without really saying it (it was on a silver platter anyway).

I still have a lot of questions, how did Geto survive after what happened in the movie ? what did Gojou say to Geto ? etc.
Looks like we are done with this reliving the past and back to the present, let's see what happens.

PS: Possibly there are things I didn't see or didn't pay attention to, there was a lot of lore

PS2: I don't rule out the possibility of Geto being good again

HIDDEN INVENTORY / PREMATURE DEATH ARC - END

Oh my god such a fucking fun arc. Seeing Gojo and Geto in the past together was phenomenal, they are my two goats now I have decided it here. After rewatching JJK0 and seeing how scary Geto becomes, this makes me so sad that him and his bestie turned evil!!!! I think the transition was a little abrupt but god that last episode was so beautifully animated. God I'm gonna miss the besties!!!!! It was such a vibe with them together!!!

Love these characters so much and very excited for the remainder of the season.

Okay I'll say it... Geto is a horrible character. So he was this goody-two-shoes who wanted to protect every non-sorcerer. But then some dumb blonde comes along and says jokingly "Well, killing all non-sorcerers would solve the curse problem lul" and he's like "That's a great idea, I'll do that now"... WTF?

@Gator

1) Geto believed that sorcerers have to protect non-sorcerers, which means that he believed that sorcerers are stronger and better than non-sorcerers. He already had sorcerer supremacy ideas
2) He got defeated by a non-sorcerer
3) The same non-sorcerer killed a person he cared about
4) Cultists (non-sorcerers) celebrated her death
5) Gojo figured out how to use infinity constantly, which means he became stronger than Geto
6) Because of that Gojo started doing his own missions, leaving Geto alone
7) Geto's life cycle became: go to a curse -> raise a hand -> swallow a giant ball that tastes like vomit -> go home
8) Haibara's death made him realise that curses will never end, it's an endless war that always leads to if not your death, then to your friends'
9) He finds out that sorcerers don't produce curses
10) A far away village had a terrorizing curse and 2 young sorcerers. Residents figured out that there was smth wrong with the girls, thought they were responsible for killings and began torturing them

I gave you 10 small reasons that came one by one like an avalanche and turned Geto into who his future self.
Imagine normies saying: "Peaky Blinders is mid and overhyped. Just another typical crime drama show. Breaking Bad is much better lol.".

Omg Gojo and Geto did have their friend breakup in front of a KFC lol. I noticed that nobara looks a lot like young Shoko but with the dimple and doesn’t smoke, maybe that means something?

Geto slowly turning on the dark side sounds understandable now that we know what happened in their youth. I guess we're finally moving up to the main story now that the gojo flashback arc has ended.

Suguru got healed by Shoko and Gojo feels like he can kill without feeling anything.

Gojo has been training his powers for a year. Suguru has been on solo missions while Gojo has also been on solo missions. Turns out Riko Amanai’s incident has broken Suguru down slowly.

Tsukumo Yuki shows up. Damn, her conversation seems to have given an idea to Suguru. Nanami failed a mission, and Gojo took over it.

Suguru made a choice, damn the conversation he had with Yuki. Now he wants to kill all non sorcerers. But I like that he’s protecting the sorcerers who were ill treated too.

Gojo feels that him being the only strong one isn’t going to be enough to stop what Suguru plans on doing. He finds Megumi and takes him in.

If I were to rate this prequel arc on its own it'd be a solid 7.5.

Some stray thoughts:

I love how last 5 hours of JJK content (including the movie) has been an abyss of prequels within prequels. JJK0 took place a year before PRESENT DAY, PRESENT TIME HAHAHAHAHA; this arc took place 10 (?) years before; within this arc there were flashbacks that took place an unspecified earlier time... etc. It's been interesting to see the prequel well dive deeper 'n' deeper.

I've been loving guessing how Gojo's arc would develop in PRESENT DAY, PRESENT TIME. Is it Kakashi & Obito all over again? Were Gojo & Geto doomed to be starcrossed platonic lovers, fated to slay each other on the battlefield? atm I'm thinking Gojo will have a bonafide heel turn and become a major antagonist. There's been far too many hints that his principles are not as morally driven as we might think they are, and at bare minimum that he has resentment toward the Jujutsu society.

It's also possible our entire cast of heroes will turn against Jujutsu society. There was clear effort in the first season to humanize the cursed spirits and Geto's goals in the sort of "us vs them" approach to conflict popular in modern storytelling, in contrast to the "good vs evil" style of traditional storytelling.

I have no idea how things will unfold and I'm bloody hell excited to find out.

Bro is going insane, also yeah "ugliness of the masses" is right. But to judge individuals based on what part of the masses they are part of (Which he ends up doing) is just as bad. I mean if he just started killing bad people it'd be one thing. But indiscriminately hates all humans which is insanity and very hypocritical.
04:37 Bro literally noticed racism and adopted it.
07:31 Uh oh, this is like Hitler's post WW1 moment where he lives on the street and picks an ideology from someone when he's at his most vulnerable.
09:07 well we can see where this is going, I still kind of call CAP though because clearly Yuta created Yuka. Also I dunno I think it's kind of a silly premise, as if sorcerers do not have negative emotions and wouldn't create curses. It feels too convenient.
12:13 I knew it. Major death flags from the first moment we saw him.
13:53 Look the anger is justified, but murking a whole village, is a bit overkill.
17:32 This really is like a Dumbledore, Grindelwald moment. Or just in general the trope of "best friends become enemies by one of the friends going a bit crazy, and the other friend doesn't stop him because he's his friend and will live to regret it" Heck even ATLA has that with the Firelord and Roku.
18:09 Lol Jesus be like: "can't save those who don't want to be saved" Which to be fair any good villain kind of matches that Satan theme, they are just exercising their free will.
And I mean he is a good villain even if a bit simple/narrow minded.
