| I'm kinda late but finally finished binging this season of solo leveling. I've already read the light novels so this felt like a very rushed adaptation. They also cut / changed many scenes like the ones that show how much of a jerk Goto Ryuuji and other Japanese hunters are. Like the entire plan to act as diversion to draw out the ants was proposed so that they could sacrifice the Korean S-rank hunters and change the global power balance. The studio probably didn't want the anime-only fans to view the Japanese hunters in a bad light so they completely rewrote the plot. Also, this piece of info is later used as a bargaining chip against the Japanese government by Chairman Go in the later volumes. I wonder how they are gonna adapt that in season 3. Also, the author wrote the story in such a way that every country other than S.Korea have insufferable hunters lol. They'll probably tone down that storyline too in the later adaptations. I personally liked season 1 more. This season was just one fight after another without any stakes and almost zero story progression. But I guess that's what I signed up for. I know how this story is gonna end and the ending completely disregards all the pain and sacrifices made by all characters except the protagonist which is kind of a shame. Solo leveling had great potential but as far as writing goes, it's similar to the plethora of trash isekai works. That said, I'll still give this season a 8/10 since it was entertaining to watch due to the high budget animation quality and crazy battles. |

| At the end, the threat posed by the ants were just fodder for how OP, great and simply baddass jin woo is, he is way above the s rank guys now. Will continue on slaying. It was a fine show, first season was more engaging since it was enjoyable seeing jin woo have some threats and gradually become more powerful, feeling empowered by the newfound gaming levelling system that he now was fortunate to get put on, while s2 was just all about him easily eliminating foes. Both s1 and s2 are about glazing and showing how awewsome jin woo is, which s2 continues on further. The whole point of making the ants a threat to others and jin woo having such am impactful aura aroudn everyone he is near with or that recognizes his existence is to glorify jin-woo and his superiority (happens in every fighting scene and in most of the dialogue, most of them are a blatant when not a buildup to hype jin-woo even further). Every character and thing that exist in the show is there to be used and eventually be used as a wag to show how baddass jin-woo is in every sense, this is what solo levelling is about down to every last element put on it. Would have enjoyed SL more if it had more variety to it and gruesome elements, though enough violence happens to those who are not jin-woo nor blessed by his almighty baddass presence. All in all, it is just dull if you cant laugh at it. Solo levelling doesnt try to be subtle about the greatness of the mc unlike other stories, which i appreciate atleast |

@Paituwin Easy there buddy, if they make 75 episodes from the get go, then this anime wouldn't be nearly as good. The more episodes an anime has, the uglier it will get since it will be harder to maintain the quality with so many episodes.
I'm perfectly fine having this anime with 12 episodes per season as long as they keep this same quality. I only hope S3 doesn't take too long.

| Crazy fight, just a bit worried about where the story goes from here. That ant was too much for any of the S rankers to take. There's still S rankers from other countries and Jinwoo's dad as a plot ig, but I wonder if we'll actually see magic beasts stronger than this ant. It seems that both the ant and Jinwoo has surpassed all S rankers, a bit soon it feels like, and by too big of a margin. He also fulfilled the goal he was fighting for to begin with, so will he keep on leveling? For what? Literally strongest man alive already. Also, how the hell did the elixir that is supposed to be effective at curing anything failing to cure Cha because the condition "is not covered by the drug"? |

| New character appears and sure of a tease at the end there. Guess it's more hype to come mhm. Overall, this season is a quite worse than the 1st season so it's a 6.5/10 for this one and since there's no decimal scores, I'm leaning towards a 6 a.k.a. what mal calls "Fine". Also, I'm surprised this hasn't gotten a season 3 announcement. Did it not do well in Japan? |

| yeees finally, been waiting for a moment like that. a look at the BIG picture. knew that one line earlier in like episode 3 about "a war much bigger than this" or whatever was going to come into play sooner or later looking forward to seeing the Kung Fu swordmaster dude in action REALLY looking forward to hearing the conversation when Jinwoo meets up with the jailbird dude who said he knows a lot about the truth |

| bruh I deadass thought he was gonna transform Cha into a shadow for a minute. great show, better than JJK's Shibuya Incident. It's not peak storytelling but its unrelenting hype made me feel like a child watching DBZ again. |
