Ahh, this episode really shows the complexities of this anime while still being clear on the plot. I can't wait to hop into the next episode!

Wait a tick, Roy killed Winry's parents?

Ugh... *Ness voice* Okay!

Then again, my memory on this series is a little hazy lol

I love Armstrong, he has a mustache, but no mouth. So it constantly looks like his mustache is talking for him.

Now that's what I call a good episode! Great action with Scar fighting half of the military, important backstory on the genocide in Ishbal and how it scarred many alchemists, especially Roy and Marcoh. Powerful scene with the Rockbell execution and sad revelation for Ed and Al. Also curious to see what's behind the reaction of the philosopher stone with Scar's hand...

Also, the Fuhrer's secretary... Ed started at her last episode, and now Al said he heard their mom's voice. Is she their mom's sister or something? I wanna know!

Yeah, me too. She has a mysterious vibe around her appearances. I doubt that we can trust in her words that Marcoh will not be harmed. Poor guy...he always seems to end up with the short end of the stick.

2022 rewatch
ohhhh my god this is definitely my favorite episode so far. the flashbacks of the ishvallan war really messed with me psychologically. if i'm being honest, that ishvallan war scene as well as the murder of winry's parents messed me up more psychologically than evangelion ever did. i think that says just how powerful this episode is. this is just too good. words can't describe how much i love this episode.

Very poor action sequences, animation doesn't flow and feels as though it was rushed, the story is all over the place. Dropping from watching the anime.
