| Dragging a comic relief character's story to three episodes. These three episodes made an inconsistency in the tone of story. But that last episode is something worth ignoring some parts. It's also classic cheese. |

| Not really surprising that he wants to leave that group after what he heard from Griffith a few episodes ago. Casca should leave as well, but I doubt that she'll do it. |
| Why the hell am I getting these feels? Its like i am going to miss him when he leaves the Band. Finally Casca has warmed up to Guts. |

| I liked how Casca managed to fight back a bit before getting rescued by the band. I would've thought that they would reach Guts in time, to help him slay some of the enemies, but the fighting was already over once they got there. Is that Coborlowitz dude dead now or did he run away again? Because they didn't show him explicitly dying, I assume the latter. Guts gets (lol, guts gets, don't know what the linguistic term is for that but it sounds nice) brought to the camp and healed up, but the doctor recommends not fighting anymore. Fat chance. Casca gets fairy dust from Judeau (so now demons & fairies are confirmed in Berserk lore I guess) and rubs it on Guts' wounds. Guts doesn't really say it, but Casca gathers that he wants to leave the camp. Could it be he wants to do that, so Griffith would consider him his friend/equal? Or is there something more to it? I guess we'll find out. |

| Impressive dialogues and characterization for Guts and Casca. Guts is starting to think there isn't only a battle ahead, we wants more, he wants to do something in his life. Casca now respects him and she's doing what every tsundere do, she's staying near him. Guts wants to end the war and then he'll think about his future. Griffith is classy at the end of the episode, the respected leader of the "bonfire of dreams". Great visuals, stunning episode! |

| I love how the writer chose to show Casca fighting off her molesters, and standing up to fight them, and only then to be rescued by Judeau.. "she's acting girlish all of a sudden" ..now what does this mean - does Judeau already sense she's falling for Guts? :D So Guts is painfully aware of his lack of a dream/purpose/hopes.. he so far only wanted to fight random battles to survive.. no higher goal.. while everyone is "betting on their unrequited hopes.." "a bonfire of dreams" :') ..Guts' lack of a reason is somehow even more touching.. he is actually an equal to Griffith - who has the loftiest "goal", just on the other end of the spectrum.. but what ushered him towards it, is Griffith himself.. I just love this aspect of this story, how Griffith and Guts have such a huge impact on each other, that is depicted so beautifully... |
