Read a manga with less than 200/100/50 favorites, do I need a proof of the number of favorites? - And for item number #36. Read a manga serialized in a seinen magazine, Do Young Magazine (Weekly) counts as a seinen magazine? |

You don't technically need proof but if you don't take a screenshot and the favorites increase, it might become invalid. Yep, Wikipedia confirms that's a seinen magazine! |

| Hi, I have a couple of questions for using manga that's still publishing. If I'm using an ongoing manga that has both an official publication and fan scanlation, do I need to read the one that has the most chapters out so far, or should I just pick one and specify which I used? Also, do I need to make a note out of how many chapters were out by the time I turn in my form? |

Also, do I need to make a note out of how many chapters were out by the time I turn in my form? Hey! Sorry for the late reply. It depends on the source you are reading. If you read digital (i.e. MangaPlus or whatever) you have to be caught up with the latest available chapter from the source you're reading (we usually check on Mangaupdates for that). If you read physical copies, then you have to be caught up with the latest available volume/chapter that's out on sale - at the time of your turn-in. In this case just state something like "up to date with print vol XY by Viz/other publisher" (since print is always a bit slower, it helps stating). I hope that makes it clear. If not I try to word it differently ^^" |

I'll go for Vitamin because it's short because it looks the most appealing to me besides Nijigihara. I will make sure to get to almost any of your recs, since there's some super interesting stuff mentioned (Goshiki no Fune, Skyhigh, Coffee Jikan, Hana to Rakurai, Kimi to Wonderland will make the start). I read Doumu and Goth, both weren't up my taste, but I need to read more from Otomo. The art was interesting in Doumu. Really unsure about :REverSAL. Something always pulls me back from reading it for some reason. Revenge Game will be checked out for the memefactor, that's for sure x) |

| I'm just wondering, but the rules said that if I read a manga that's not complete yet, I should at least read up until the last chapter released, okay. But I live in Brazil and here there's some manga being released that aren't in the same pace as the online/english translation. Like, for exemple, Totsukuni no Shoujo, here it was released until 4th volume but I saw that it was released until 10th volume in english/online, and I can pretty much read it in english if I want to, but I do prefer to read the physical volume in portuguese when they release it here. So the question is, can I use this manga (or other in a similar situation) on the challenge even if I only read them until the last released volume in my country or it's better if I don't use it for the challenge (since I chose not to read online and wait for the physical volume to come out)? |

Heyo! It's okay to use the physical release and only catch up that far, just make sure to state so for the items where you did (e.g. "Caught up to Brazilian physical release") . |

| Does Nurarihyon no Mago fit with #68. Read a manga about spirits / life after death / souls? This series has youkai in it, and it has a supernatural tag. Will this be valid? EDIT: Also! | It's getting to be really late in the year to be asking questions, but what counts as a "feudal" manga. Does Blade of the Immortal? Because it's not technically set in the feudal time, but, like Kenshin is listed as a feudal manga, and it takes place AFTER Blade. Help. Thanks <3 |

And it was a good one, as well. Both, Kenshin and Blade of the Immortal are valid for the item. We are aware that the "Edo period" isn't technically feudal anymore, but it still carries a lot of elements & characteristics from the feudal era. So basically it is meant as a broader historic term for the wider past, which also includes the middle age and such. Otherwise it would be limiting the possible choices too much. Hope that explains it well enough. :) |

#79. Read a manga that is set in at least 2 different real life countries. can I use Kishibe Rohan Louvre e Iku in this one? I mean, Mirioh is not a real life place BUT it's located in Japan (which is a real life country) and in this story he goes to France too in case it didn't count, can I use it in #49. Read a manga with a genius main character. ? I think Rohan is a Genius, but I don't know if its valid for genius of other than intellectual genius/intelligence |

| Mangas that aren't on the mal database counts to the challenge? I've finished read some mangas, but they aren't on the database, can I use those providing the link for mangaupdates instead? Yep, that's fine! (Sometimes manga don't meet the requirements needed in order to be added to the db, and sometimes entries might get mixed together with others (i.e. Anthologies or Oneshots), so it's always a bit of a hassle. But yes, just provide us with the MU-link instead, and it's fine. :) |

| Maybe to help out people who have time managament issues just like me see the deadline approaching with a steady pace and break out in sweat already: Are there any cool short manga (up to max 3-4 vols) you've enjoyed recently? - Ne Ne Ne Fluff romance. - Ritou no Umi Pretty hard on the slice of life aspect. - Haru Niwa Some sweet short stories. - Kingyosou Somewhat cozy and warm romance. - Noa Berserk-fans might now this one already. - Vitamin Kind of glad it tells its impactful story within only three chapters. Not on the easy to swallow side, though! - Kin no Hitsuji Feels a bit less polished than Ozaki's popular other work "Kamisama ga Uso wo Tsuku.". Still a rewarding read. - Luger Code 1951 Some may call it a trainwreck, but it was fun at least. - Gozen 3-ji no Muhouchitai Really wish the sequel would be available, too. ._. - Hisakata no Oto The story may be more on the average side, but it still offers some very sweet moments and panels. Still worth a look in my opinion. - Emperor to Issho This was surprisingly cute and fun. |
