@Dessiato

You claim to have read all of the available content on the novels(here it changes from opinion to fact) and proceed to point out plot holes and/or devices that dont exist.

You dont like the series we get that but why do you try so hard to make it seem even worse?

Elf ears... Elf ears everywhere! :D

That being said, I enjoyed this episode, it builds well towards the whole idea that asuna's fiancé ( you know, the douche at the hospital ) has something to do with it all and that he is probably more of a douche then we expected him to be.

I was glad to be able to see yui back, even though she's in the form of a tiny pixie, I'm sure she'll provide some adorable moments in the near future. Got to love kirito panicking when he realises there's a chance yui got deleted.

I'm liking this arc already more than the SAO one, I think it's partly because Lyfa is such an awesome character.

One thing that particularly ticked me off this episode was the use of old BGMs which really felt SAO-esque since they were used so much in it anyway. I wish they'd compose some new tracks to use that are unique to ALO. Obviously it's easier said than done, but to me, a more classical soundtrack would be more suitable to ALO than the current one.

Anyway, the visual adaptation of ALO doesn't look to shabby so far, and the character designs were more refined than expected.

But I don't.

You are just grasping at straws and pidgeonholing me into a hater. I try to look at this shit as subjectively as possible, and in that case, and my opinion after viewing it subjectively and critically, it blows.

You have just convinced yourself I am a hater.

Even if you arent a hater how can I not think that you are when you claim to have read the novels+my explanation and yet you continue with the same argument?

This is nothing like Asuna's "power of love" in ep14 where we have no explanation for it and we have to mindlessly accept it.

I don't understand how those MMO's still sell, after what happened with SAO people would be too scared to go near those things.
Anyway, it's going to be fun seeing how they handle the suspense now that they can be revived and there is log-out buttons.

Also, I really can't stand Sugu, and that cousin thing still bugs me. We don't need the-almost-sister-who-is-in-love-with-harem-leader character in this anime..

Since you posted DraconisMarch's video and said that you shared most of his complaints about the episode/show:
His videos can be entertaining to watch, but almost everything he says in them is either explained in the show and he was just too retarded to pay attention or just random insults at things you see in every anime.

I just started watching this video, and in the first five seconds he pointed out how convenient it was for Egil to live in Japan and how Kirito could find him.
It was mentioned in the show that SAO was only sold in Japan and episode 15 showed that the email came from Egil.

Then he complains about the government allowing another VR device after the SAO incident.
I mean, it's not like we still use planes, cars and nuclear energy, there is no reason to prohibit a new and groundbreaking technology if there are adequate safety measures.
He then spends the next 30 seconds just repeating what the subs said in a weird voice because he doesn't have anything worthwhile to say.
(These were just my impressions after the first 60 seconds, I could go on but I think you get what I'm trying to say).

That was one of the first times he actually had a fallacy, did you watch the full video? The writing is PRETTY terrible. I have read the full novel anyways...

It wasn't even much of a fallacy, it was sold in Japan, yet it had a language option, selling it only in a small area that allows all of the characters to access eachother consistently is... laughable, especially in a Japan that is probably much larger and expanded. The "only in japan" was seriously a writing card to make the characters be in a close proximity to eachother.

That is bad writing.

I watched all of his videos and while most were entertaining, it got kind of dull after a while since all he does is repeating what happens in a funny voice or complaining about things that the show explained.
That was by far not the only fallacy.
The writing isn't particularly good, but that still doesn't change that he complains about already covered/trivial things.
Also keep in mind that you're reading a fan translated Light Novel, so don't expect the writing to be even close to perfect.

I read it in Japanese, I actually borrowed the originals from a close friend, and check out my edit. And translation is completely irrelevant, fact of the matter is, it's a few decades in the future, 100% digital games are totally possible, yet the author relies on boxed copies to realistically contain the characters within a region, nice.

Well, in SAO, he didn't want to kill NPC... Do you think their death mattered?

Anyway, I'm sad Agil didn't come, because I'm fed up with those girls joining the Harem.

Also, I liked Kirito in this episode, mainly because of all those goofy stuff they added ( his reaction when he heard that you can fly in the game, the way he arrived to save Leafa...)

While SAO has several problems, I don't see how that is particularly bad.
There were only 10000 copies for the first release in Japan, it would have probably been sold in other countries later on as well.

What a pleasant surprise, the feelings i got is similar to what i got in ep 1 of SAO arc
What amazed me the most is the visuals. ALO is beautiful and I like the fantasy feel of it
The music is great too, like it more than SAO's music
I hope that this ep will not be an indication that It will follow SAO's quality pattern which is very inconsistent and somewhat disappointing >.<

Oh, Cool! A new game! Does this mean Kirito isn't ridiculously overpowered anymore?! Maybe he'll actually be a little vulnerable and interesting now!

NOPE. He can stop lances from experienced players with his bare hands.

Fuck this show.

he could stop it coz kirito str stat is higher because his stat (lvl 100 in SAO) is transfered into ALO

Oh, I understand the reason he's still overpowered, I just think it's just an asinine writing decision. Going into a new game gives the writer a chance to make Kirito into an actually interesting character by giving him vulnerabilities, imperfections, room for improvement and character development. But instead they opted to keep him an overpowered, invulnerable, one-dimensional, wish fulfilling Gary Stu. It's a wasted opportunity.

Ya because he is suppose to be able to fight veterans with new stats, very reasonable......
of course he can fight the veterans , he has been inside SAO for 2 years...and thus more experience in sword fight.

time is relative and isn't a concept that is necessarily carried on in the afterlife. There's nothing stating that the afterlife has to be linear and therefore alot of them would probably have never existed within the same time frame prior to their deaths.

I am talking only about the SAO incident. What he does in Vol10 is ,for me at l least, both logical and moral.

I haven't read Progressive because I dont know japanese and I dont plan to spoil myself even for the new SAO arc.
The first day chapter ,while emotional during the end, doesnt justify his way of thinking ,when he was giving NPCs the same value as the real humans/players.

but im not talking about vol.10 im talking about the SAO incident (why he values NPCs) and merely using vol.10s flashback as a reference <_<

on "first day" the NPC comforted him when he was down, at that time they were capable of seeing human emotions, possibly capable of feeling it too

and like i said its arguable, Reki made a good point about what it means to be alive, is it fair to disregard another race and use them only as tools? or should you give them some human rights? there's a lot of controversy about it

lol calm down everyone it is just SAO. forget all about plot related stuff just watch it like how you naturally watch a harem anime or if you came here for action just watch it like how you watch bleach.

How are the Fluctlights the same with NPCs I dont understand. You cant compare the NPCs even with a top-down AI like Yu,i how did you compare them with the AIs of Underworld?

He had no logical reason to protect the NPCs of SAO.

to us he acted to stupidly, but it explains alot about his attachments to NPCs/AIs in volume 10, "first day" and even the new progressive "dark elf" arc so its really arguable whether he made the correct decision or not

but my point is, is that Asuna believed he made the right choice for reasons that are very complicated to understand

I am talking only about the SAO incident. What he does in Vol10 is ,for me at l least, both logical and moral.

I haven't read Progressive because I dont know japanese and I dont plan to spoil myself even for the new SAO arc.
The first day chapter ,while emotional during the end, doesnt justify his way of thinking ,when he was giving NPCs the same value as the real humans/players.

but im not talking about vol.10 im talking about the SAO incident (why he values NPCs) and merely using vol.10s flashback as a reference <_<

on "first day" the NPC comforted him when he was down, at that time they were capable of seeing human emotions, possibly capable of feeling it too

and like i said its arguable, Reki made a good point about what being alive is, is it fair to disregard another race and use them only as tools? or give them some human rights? there's a lot of controversy about it

We dont know if the little girl was pre programmed or she actually had an AI on par with Yui(who as SHE stated doesnt have emotions ,she just copies humans) or even higher than that.
In SAO the only "intelligent" non player was Yui.Now we can only make assumptions about that, like with Asuna's "power of love"(did the NerveGear somehow have the same feature as the Soul Translator?etc...).

As for Reki,we dont HAVE to agree with the writer. In FZ Urobuchi tries to make Tokiomi look like a good father. If you believe that then you will become a bad parent.

I am prepared to accept that the flow of time is different in a purgatory, I never thought it was an issue for we were given little to no information on it, I guess the future works that are coming out will clarify. I gave Angel beats a 9 for it's theming and execution.

not saying the little girl was on par with Yui, just saying that she was able to see human emotions which shouldn't be normal for any kind of NPC

and im not saying that Reki was trying to make us agree, im saying he is trying to make us think about whether its fair to disregard another race and use them only as tools? or give them the same human rights?

I never said that.

Keep trying.

With the thematic of the show, the details behind the purgatory were irrelevant.

Sr but Asuna is still the best, Sinon/Suguha are only cool when they're in their avatar form, other than that, Sinon looks like a book worm with heavy glasses, please no. Suguha? Incest-->big ethical issue here, I do like her, but meh, I dont want my baby looks like some alien. Silica? Im no pedo. Liz? Er I guess she's fine, but I prefer a girl who can cook.

FYI, sinon CAN cook, its her hobby, and im not going into detail about her RL appearance but she is still a badass in both worlds

though i do agree that Asuna is the jack of all trades...
