i could break down this episode so much that i could make a video out of it, almost every dialogue in this episode could be break down and track back to the backstories and the emotion of the character, first i feel like rudeus in this episode is not given credit enough because he get a big character moment and for me rudeus is the big highlight in this episode other than norn of course, we see the flashback with his brother and what his brother did is not really the right approach by saying "There are other people who are suffering more than you" "stop running away or you'll never stop" and stuff i get what he's trying to do but thats not the right approach for a person that is bullied so terribly and thats why rudeus didn't even take that word as anything and just ignored it at the time, but now he said "this must be how my brother felt back then" he now understand what his brother was feeling but instead of doing what his brother did and push norn without understanding what she's going through, he understood her and say what he's thinking, saying that he doesn't really know her and still doesn't really know what to say to her he speak his mind and that make norn able to understand and trust his words more, and when she open the curtain he hesitate and clench his hand norn see that and it convinced her more with how genuine he is with his words, the next thing he say is that he will see norn for who she really is and that impact norn because one of the reason she hid herself in her room is because no one see her as who she is and instead see her only as rudeus sister and putting expectation on her because she's rudeus sister while she doesn't even know rudeus much, and i love that rudeus say i'm here for you, i won't go away and so.. do you mind if i stay? that is so good especially when he ask if he could stay because he understand his brother's feeling but also scared that norn will do the same thing as he did and kick him out and i love that that is so good,

and Norn the highlight of this episode is also really great we have seen rudeus perspective on things so far but everything is so different when we go to norn's perspective because norn's first impression of rudeus is terrible her first impression was when rudy was punching his dad, her hero at the time the kindness man to her and her dad and ever since than they never met again and like she explain when she meet again with her brother it was when rudy came back from drinking with nanahoshi and the others to our perspective it was after a wholesome moment but norn didn't see that and her impression of rudy is already bad and when she meets with him again its not a good look for someone who already have a terrible impression on you, and what i think her main reason to hid herself in her room is because of that bad impression on rudy and the lack of talking between them and so thats why norn say "i don't know him" because she doesn't have a emotional connection to her brother and that give her pressure because everyone refer to her as rudeus sister not to who she is and also put expectation in her just because she's rudeus sister, and there's more than one scene where we see the students ask norn but doesn't even know her name and when she give her name they neglect it, but there are also those who see her as norn and also say that rudeus is a amazing person and that give her more pressure because again she doesn't know who rudeus is and what they're talking about because her impression on him, and i love the conversation with ruijerd she actually open up a little and say she doesn't know what he's saying and doesn't get it and ruijerd reply to that with "you will someday and the next time you meet don't run" and that connected to her question how did father and brother make up and her conclution at the end "dad didn't run neither did my brother and so i" will not run either,

that is so good each dialogue is amazing and connected and we haven't even talk about the directing in this episode the music in this episode and the other things that happened in this episode too, the directing is so good i love when we see norn lift up the curtain and instead of showing rudeus they show paul norn blinks and it turn to rudeus again that was so good and i love it show the emotion that norn finally understand, and i also love that at the end rudeus say that he's going to ask nanahoshi to give his brother a massage "I'm sorry for back then and thank you" it shows how much he developed from who he is before. norn is also a amazing character and i kinda like her more than aisha to be honest, and the title of the episode is so good it could apply to both brother in this episode, rudeus past life older brother and norn to rudeus |
