| I'm currently rewatching this absolute gem and it's even better than I remembered. Lovely interactions between the girls and beautiful scenery. Nice pacing, background music and everything. I love it! |

| I don't know if I would have watched this without all the positive reviews on MAL. After the first episode, I don't know if I would continue watching, except for all the positive reviews. Is this just a mood piece? The video equivalent of background music? Is it a guided meditation? More like a video sedative I think. The landscapes remind me of my childhood summers on my grandparents' farm. Nothing ever really happened there, just encounters with wildlife, cows and pigs. And not even a bus in rural America. If you needed to get somewhere, you just walked, or maybe rode a horse. Are there really schools in Japan with only 4 or 5 students? In America, those kids would spend hours every day on the bus to get them to a bigger school. What happens later to get this series a PG-13 rating? Does someone die? Do they slaughter a hog? With such a slow moving plot, there is plenty of time to ponder such questions. |

| Beautiful landscapes and relaxing music. Quiet, gorgeous country life that Hotaru is learning about. Also, what a lovely idea, dessert under the cherry blossom tree. I think I'll enjoy this a lot! |

| honestly the "what is an inaka" question is pretty legit my area has trains/buses every 1-2 hours as well but has 市 in the name and fortunately has one conbini (thank god) |
