| Awesome episode. This is one of the series where I like to hear the background info about the world instead of watching forced action scenes. And this episode was good since we got to see new characters, and I am hoping to see more about country affairs in the next episodes. Priscilla is my favorite new character so far. Also Horie Yui as cat-like character again... |

Its obvious that author is setting up Subaru to fuck up majorly in one way or the other and have to fix everything in progress learning to take things more seriously. Most likely fucking up the election thing somehow and having to fix it without shitty antics. The problem is that I don't feel its done well because Subaru going dumb feels forced. HE ALREADY went through that in Arc 2 with the terrifying deaths he went through and all his mental breakdowns we saw. He started Arc 1 thinking he is the protag and then his illusions shattered through arc 1 and then completely in arc 2 where he literally broke down from experiences realizing this is not a game. He was forced to put his life on the line knowing its not a game and we saw him scared and shaking and all. He went through hell. He is putting on same hero antics of Arc1 but all of his body language is telling the viewer that he is faking it now as a comfort zone. He knows he is not some "based ln protag" anymore. He is a guy fighting for his survival and risking his life even if it scares him to his very core. And yet one episode latter in here it feels like he was reset to the start of Arc1 just so we can have that plot. And there's a significant lack of insight why he would regress after his experiences. His behavior in this episode clashes A LOT with what we saw him go through in Arc 2 and Arc 1. Its as if they never happened. And there does not seem to be any traumatic result from what he suffered in Arc 2. If anything he should be more mistrusting and more easily triggered if anything. I spent whole episode going "why would you do that?" at Subaru and his rant about Emilia to Rem felt borderline creepy stalker. Someone said before that this takes place MONTHS after arc 2 which is impossible to tell in anime, so maybe its just issue of adaptation, no idea. For me this is basically Subaru shifting from 11 episodes of competent if messed up and nerdy protag you can root for to a complete idiot dumbass within half an episode and there's no tangible reason for that. So yeah, I KNOW the intent. It makes sense. But execution leaves me scratching my head. Even Betty takes up very ambiguous wording when talking about her. I think its more like a situation where nobody is good though. Maybe both witch and dragon were messed up individuals, just one happened to end up being the loser in terms of history books. |

Pretty tell-tale of some kind of brainwashing or at least emotionally drained into doing something. The problem with this whole 'queen' business is it's not just getting rich and getting out of the slums. She'll be sacrificing everything else in the process. I doubt her dreams of making it big are really the same thing as this. I'd love to be wrong, though. |
| Man this episode is great only because Of Reinhard and Wilhelm van astrea appearance I feel that Subaru is so annoying I am really start to dislike him he is such idiot and too much of goof ball and mr lover boy. Emily is okay but she also start to get annoying But overall this episode is good though I wish to see more of Reinhard and Wilhelm van astrea I like both of their personalities a lot. |

| Dunno... but the premise went to hell... at first it was very interesting the situation of the character reviving the situation after every death (kinda cliche, but I liked it)... but event after event this series fall into more cliches and dumb things like traps, girls that speaks like cats, harem events, a court of cute girls princess, a butler going out with a princess... |

The whole setup though, the way she was introduced. If this goes as expected, it's likely she will be the dragon priestess. But then Re:Zero is all about taking the expected and twisting it out and about... guess we'll see what happens ^-^ |
| I'm actually a bit surprised by how popular Priscilla apparently is at the moment. Having just finished volume 4 of the LN, I find her downright obnoxious, almost unbearably so. Here's hoping that she will get some good development so that my opinion of her may change. |

| Oh my, what an interesting episode, finally the plot move further and it was nice to see all those characters again! Even Felt was there :) (well, her nomination was as expected). And I already see some potential mistakes and dangers. So far Subaru seems like clodpole but I'm looking forwar to political game of intrigue they'll surely start to play soon. Subaru's goal - save them all? But now I certainly wonder if he favours Emilia or Felt for the election (for some reason Emilia doesn't want to be elected and I'm insterested why) Priscilla surely was interesting (I wouldn't guessed she's 19 though). (VA by the same person who did Mei in Clannad or Amane in Steins;Gate) What's more - Tohsaka Anastasia on the scene! And even better - Crusch is voiced by Monogatari's Tsukihi Iguchi Yuka! And LOL of the week - Felix is actually voiced by Horie Yui Very interesting cast. |

| Subaru can be quite stupid sometimes but he went completely brain dead this episode and when questioned he just has a dumbfounded face on like he doesn't understand going on,just like Felt at the end with the look on her face like she had no idea whats happening. nice to see my boy Reinhard again though |

It identifies a candidate. The glow should be the sign. |

There's no condescension or personal attack in what I wrote. I don't know if it can be made, but it sure as hell isn't for her only. As for why she tried to get it back, it's pretty simple and the aniime itself says it near the beginning: a candidate who can't keep it safe would be seen as not fit to rule (despite what touchstone says) because there's a huge gap between fucking up losing a touchstone and fucking up people/kingdom's lives. If you can't do something as simple as keep the touchstone safe, it will be an argument working against you. |

| Looks like Emilia is looked down upon by other candidates, possibly? At least the dialect character. Emilia and Roswaal now suspect subaru as a spy now more than ever, poor guy. Was it stated before that there were only 5 candidates. I thought there were gonna be 30+. I did think Felt was gonna be one, but didn't think there'd be a total of 5. Wonder which party Elsa was working under. My guess is the green haired girl. Dialect girl looks down on emilia too much and priscilla probably doesn't think she needs to target anyone as she thinks she'll win regardless. Also. Emilia: I need to watch you so you have to hold my hand cause ik you can't wait Emilia: i need to ditch you for this knight, wait here Emilia: I need to ditch you for the castle, wait here Was a very interesting episode. |
