| Hmm, I use "cute" a lot with my friends. Like others have said it depends on context. I never really use the terms "hot" or "handsome," the words feel really stiff to me. I do use it when I describe personality a lot, I have a lot of adorable acting friends but being "cute" physically isn't a bad thing either in my eyes. When I find someone attractive, I call them "cute," "adorable," or just straight up "attractive;" some girls do use it spitefully so it really depends on the individual and how they're saying it. It's not that difficult to figure out lol |

Luckily the only people I notice who use it in a insulting way are mostly males with things like "oh that's cute" just to bring someone down. I just think of it like I think of movies, most are generally good but there are always a few bad apples. |
