@ryzxgum I think we're basically arguing over nothing, so let's leave it at that. Yeah, we both agree the plot sucks,but it's saved by the visuals. My only difference might be it doesn't annoy me a whole lot, if there's even a difference.

A bit confused, so the surveillance team came and judged the GATE to be an S-rank now, and Jin was able to transform the Dungeon boss to his new Soldier and turnsout it's his highest, but he wasn't able to turn that iceTroll boss in the red gate to a soldier, he was too low, you telling me red gate is weaker than the orc boss? What a sick episode, can't wait for that Lee Minsung actor at the end, there's a reason why he has sung in his name, i bet you the Guild HQ will announce that Jinwoo is an S-rank and everyone gonna hear Sung and he's gonna think they're talking about him then all the media just gonna leave him hanging to cover the new S rank story. That's a great gag character, if i'm right. |

| I was super hyped for this episode but to be honest, the orc king got absolutely annihilated. Funny how the orc told Jin-Woo not to be arrogant when he should have followed his own advice because Jin-Woo absolutely rekt him and didn't even break a sweat while doing it😂. Not to mention he only needed to use Shadow Extraction 1 time which shows Jin-Woo was WAYYYYYY stronger than the orc. That said, it still was a great episode and had really good animation. I think the reason I wasn't as hyped as other fights was because there was no sense of danger (I know Jin-Woo will most likely never lose anyway since he is super OP but I like seeing him get serious.) Jin-Woo was not intimidated at all and gave them all the wet work. |

| @HyroSan I can understand that, I also like deep and rewarding stories. But not having a deep story doesn't mean it's a bad show and no one is forcing them to watch it. I drop shows I don't like well before 6th episode and then it's quite obvious whether it's bad or good. |

People hate seeing wasted potential. And SL is one of the top 2025 candidates in this regard. When you see amazing art paired with amazingly bad plot, it makes people wanna stick a fork in their eyeball. So most of the time those who "hate it" are actually just fans who expect more!
And this episode was so full of "bad" things, its actually tragic.

| @EvilJuju this is far from amazingly bad plot. Amazingly bad plot would be something akin to reincarnated into another world with cheat skill and everyone understimates main character while he simultaneously forms a harem which he does nothing with while the rest of the story plot-conveniences itself around his wants and needs. That would be amazingly bad plot and I've just described at least 5 shows from each season since issekai was invented. Solo Leveling doesn't have a bad story. It's just not deep and that's fine because focus is on action. It's like calling Die Hard a bad movie because plot is simple. Sure plot is simple but the rest of it is great and you are there for the entertainment. But I'd love to read at least some parts of those "full of bad things it's actually tragic". |

| Not much to say that hasn't already been said. This was a great episode in all aspects. The Sakuga, the story, and the introduction of a new Elite Soldier. Solo Leveling is a great story and they are doing it justice with this animation. |

| Last week, a bunch of the manhwa readers were eagerly anticipating "the pickaxe scene." As a result, I was also looking forward to it, hoping to finally see the fan darling in action, splitting some orc heads. We get there and Cha Hae-In picks up a pickaxe and... feels embarrassed about it? That's it? She then proceeds to watch Jinwoo do his thing like the rest of the NPCs. I do not understand the hype for this total non-entity of a character. |
| jinwoo got 50 A level orcs and a close to S rank orc. I was waiting for this entry with whole shadow army. I think that orc boss is the first one who can talk with jinwoo from shadow army. Now he had 3 elite class shadow fighters. |

| Not a bad episode with strong production value as is tradition, but as always SL feels lacking in the characters department. The season's rating is now over 8.8/10, which is a feat of its own. Yet, it feels like there's exactly two ways to make it this high up on MAL: 1. A series niche enough that only its fans watch it. 2. A series that is approachable with good production value and which does nothing to bring hate from the larger anime community, even if it does nothing great plot-wise. SL seems to be a textbook example of case #2. |

The A- and S- rank is a huge scale and this gate was a top tier A-rank, almost S. The red gate was never measured. Jinwoo was lower level than the ice elf Baruka, that's why he couldn't resurrect him. His now 20 levels higher so ha could ressurect the high orc shaman. Kargalgan could hide his power level, that's why the gate was measured lower the first time. |

| The animators really went all out for this episode, huh? It always puts a smile on my face when I see some lovely sakuga action scenes as wild as this one! Not only that, but it was another way for Sung Jinwoo to showcase how strong he has become. He was right to call out the Orc Leader's bluff and showed no hesitation in taking the enemies down. He couldn't prevent the others from seeing his powers, but he made well sure that all of his allies were kept safe while he sorted out the Orc army and that's exactly what he did. Cha Hae-In even got to see him in action and it certainly left a powerful impression on herself, which did show us a rather cute side to her. =) |
| Some of the choreography was cool and good animation but there is no tension since there is no real buildup just bambam bam bam slash slash slash psyche psyche boom boom and somehow everyone is fine even though they should be pretty severely injured from those attacks happening all over the place. |
