| My Hero Academia is actually really good with character development considered they have a whole cast of like 20 students + teachers and they try to give character development to 80% of them while other animes just focus on the main character or trio. Jujutsu Kaisen is actually a terribly written mess and is on talked about because animation carries that series. |

| I completely dread when magical girl animes that "break the mold" are just misery porn and watching girls suffer for some "grander purpose" instead of what Madoka actually did. Tbh I think I just hate any sort of "[insert 'girly' genre here] but fucked up" because it almost always leans too hard into its darker tones it becomes comical and clearly just edge for the sake of it. of course, it's not applicable to all animanga ever because that'd be reductive and stupid. I just can't help but always roll my eyes when people say the new anime of the week is a DARK take on a genre that focuses on girls being cute and making it NOT vapid and SUPER DEEP actually and it's literally just girls killing each other or being depressed because happy things = vapid and for losers? It just exhausts me when I do want actual genre explorations with deeper meanings and intent but end up just getting something that feels exploitative and bordering on fetish-y at times. [If you've run your circle in ahem adult anime/vn/manga, you'd know what I mean] |

| Le Chevalier Deon is the better LOGH (and LOGH is quite mediocre). Steins;Gate only got good in its last third, meaning it cant be a good series overall. Endings dont ruin anime (except Mysteries). i could keep going but im too scared lol |

| I'll say my hot take on this, whether people like it or not: Attack on Titans is by far the most overhyped anime i've ever seen. And not in a good way. Mostly because i do not see what's so special or exciting about that anime aside from people fighting againts the titans. Maybe i'll give it a watch in the future to see whether i'd end up liking it or not. But honestly? I don't think that anime sounds that exciting or awesome. It's just seems just another lame shonen anime that's only carried over by animation and music. Which i will admit, WIT Studio did a great job at animation and the music does sound very awesome, especially the opening theme songs. But other than that, yeah, i don't give a shit about it. |

| Some takes here are just so lukewarm or contrarian. There is nothing wrong by an anime being carried by animation or soundtrack. However if everything else is terribly made not even the best technical aspects can save it. You can make a clichéd story work well. Looking at Jujutsu Kaisen, for example, the story is heavily clichéd but they took off several elements that were criticized in other battle shounen like fillers and slow pacing. |
