I definitely prefer the old art style, the eyes and hair just suit the characters more.

I don't dislike the new style though, I guess it'll grow on me.

I hope this season 4 is animated 100% that way. i think that even if people do not like the art style still enjoy a great season with all the upcoming action and continue to support the light novel and anime to get more seasons in 2019 or 2020

Honestly I’m really happy and sad both at the same time cus really love this anime but new art style is kind a like hentai’s though wished it could develop like #Shinmai Maou no Testament Departures but sad 😔 anyway I’m happy in way wish the story will be epic though

Moe style is definately a killer. I think the new art hit Xenovia the most (and I mean it, she's not my preferred choice). It def. hurts to see .. all of them, even if I can understand why it was done (and they like it). Well, animation sure is better. Preview gives mixed feelings if it would at very least acceptable. Let's just see after at least 2 Episodes. And if it would be vol 10-12 (little bit cut) I rly would want to see it. So fingers crossed we may turn out to still like it.

Lets hope season 4 goes well and views support the anime to get volumes 11 and 12 in season 5 in 2019 and 2020.

I think I prefer the older art style. It may have been pretty standard but I felt it suited the anime's darker themes better. I understand that the new studio is trying to emulate the LN's art style more and I do somewhat appreciate that but it makes some of the characters look rather derp, especially Rias who is my favorite character. It's going to be difficult to take her seriously when she has her strong/serious moments.

Not going to lie, it's going to be difficult to get used to this new art style.

I don’t mind the new art style, it’s way better than season 3’s art style since the overall quality of the show dropped so hard that season, also it’s going to be easier to adapt the Over The Top battle scenes that will be adapted this season and possibly next.

While reading the Light Novel atm, i dont care anymore about the art style of the anime. XD After i read how different the third season was from the original LN, i was disappointed. No idea how they will do the next season now after missing some stuff and have a kinda wrong order. So, like i said, a full new anime in the new style would be better but its just a dream like always.

even though the new art style is near to LN, the LN's art style is still better than the new one and i still love the old one.
the quality of animation certainly improved which i'm very happy about but if only the art style wouldn't have changed it would have been a lot better.

I think if the studio adapts volumes 9 and 10 relevantly close to the light novel the art work difference will be accepted by viewers

Hope this season goes well enough to get at least season 5 i think to finish an arc of the light novel.

Or OVA

For me Any DxD anime is most welcome.

Personally i was expecting an improved art, so it would match the current standards, but that?! It's not the same anymore! Rias from adult looking character became a child like. This art makes me feel like it's made for "kids". Im very disappointed with it, im even tempted to not much watch the season because of this 3D cr*p

I don't hate the new art style but I do prefer the old style. One thing that's really been a turn off after watching episode 1 is the animation is very bad at certain spots. On average though the animation is pretty mediocre compared to the older seasons.

I'm on the fence with the new art style.
I don't dislike it, but it'll take some getting used to.

To me, it looks like Koneko is about the only one that looks almost the same as the old style.
Everyone else has more noticeable changes.

You're never too old to watch anime.
If I ever stop watching anime, check my pulse I'm likely dead.

I wake up with coffee & anime, I go to sleep with coffee & anime.

The new artstyle seems more simplistic and is a bit brighter than the artsyle in the old seasons, so it might be better for fighting scenes, but i still prefer the old artstyle because of its detail and the characters look sharper (Rias and Akeno look sexier in the old versions) and Vali looked more badass. I guess the new artstyle fits Koneko better.

Overall, it's not bad and I think I'll get used to it quite quickly.

I keep looking over the new and old art style.

Yes it is true that characters are lighter.

Irina, Rossweisse and Koneko design look more suited to their character

Rias and Akeno red and black hair seem not as cool but still accept in the dark tones.

Lets how the events of volumes 10 are animated.

I think those episodes will decide whether the NEW art was done well or not for viewers.

I am hoping for the best.

As volumes 10 events are one of my most desire volumes to get animated second only to cliffhanger between 11 and 12.

That is why i hope season 5 is made to get vol 11 and 12 adapted in 2019 2020

Hope Season 4 sales well

I think the new one is a bad choice I would really enjoy highschool dxd with the original art style like s1-3

well i think better old season after iam watching The Anime This Week,idk to say but rias and another char is looks different and also when they talking or argue feels like empity in their eyes also the action part still better old season i think.
well lets see next week i hope thet looks like a live char same as before.
