| That shot of Anna's solution so Kyoutaro could pray made me have a heart attack. That was very strong. Kana was top tier wingman. New Year began with a great "(ka)beddon". Great end scene. |

People say "creepy fantasy about murdering people", it's so wrong how they perceive it just like that, its a plot metaphor for literally any hobby that im sure many of us were cast aside for in school by others because it was "weird", games, books, being a nerd, anything really. And then Yamada, the love interest who is also the person who drives the story, drives the main character, completely oblivious to what he's ostracized for, the tandem these two characters have is truly something special, essentially a "best friend who understand you", but in this case a love interest because this is a romance story. The ending is also the beginning, it's the beginning of Ichikawa's school life. I don't know who wrote this manga, but god damn, the guy had some big brain ideas while working on this. What this show tries to convey will fly over so many people's heads. |

| New Years Shrine visit and Kyoutarou visits it with his family, but along the way the mother spots Yamada waiting on someone. Yamada notices them and decides to tag along but they actually had planned out to go together. At the shrine Yamada goes holds Kyoutarou's hand and is even behind him, damn. Kana & Kyoutarou ditch the family and run after Yamada, only to be greeted with her eating haha. Kana invites her over to the house to have some soup. Kana then leaves the house since she meets up with some friends, leaving those 2 behind. Yamada follows Kyoutarou towards his room and goes through the albums and trophies that he has and has earned. Yamada spots something under the blanket but Kyoutarou doesn't want her to see it so he jumps on the bed, which then a romantic ish scene plays out. Yamada is in disbelief and before leaving she takes a couple of photos of him and then says that she will show hers next time, basically hinting that she is inviting him over. Flashbacks of Kyoutarou's past. The next day at school, Yamada takes care of Kyoutarou and Kyoutarou says its thanks to her that he loves school again which then Yamada hugs him and he actually sheds some tears. They both are running late to class so they run for it. What an amazing anime and i can't wait for Season 2 in 2024. 8/10.     |

| A New Years and home visit episode, a very solid season finale, as Kyoutaro and Anna had more wholesome moments, and we got to see some of Kyoutaro's past experiences, some of which were quite relatable, especially the friends leaving for private school thing. I've really enjoyed every second of Kyoutaro's development, from the edgy kid, to someone awkward, but very kind and endearing. His sister was quite fun to watch too. Overall, very positively surprised by how much I enjoyed this series, and how well directed it was overall. Looking forward to the next season in Winter next year! 9/10. |
| Gonna miss not seeing those 2 every Saturday. Glad season 2 is coming. |

| Touching ending and the best way to end S1! Looking forward for S2! Masterpiece romcom that I've watched 10/10. Also finished reading up to the latest chapter of the manga and surely S2 would be awesome! |

| This RomCom is a masterpiece. Definitely one of my favorite romance animes, 10/10. The evolution that Anna and Kyotaro went through within the season is rare in shojo anime. I love them both as characters and their relationship very much. I hope in next season we will see more cute scene between them. |

| And so ends one of my favorite shows this season, what a nice final episode this was. Always love shrine visits in anime, this was a fantastic one to add to the books, and once again, hell yeah Ichikawa broke his arm because that scene where Yamada put her hand on his was gold lol. And I want to point out the MVP Kana this episode, not only was she hilarious with her reactions but she is already proving herself a great wingwoman. And the entire bit in Ichikawa’s bedroom was golden, as well as their hug at the end of the episode, both provided a bit of backstory for Ichikawa and that made the big moments hit even harder, Yamada shining a huge light on Ichikawa’s life has been a pure delight to witness to the end of this first season. What a damn good show this has been, it ended up getting the big 10/10 from me, I think it absolutely deserves it. It’s not only an amazing SoL and romance, it also has beautiful art and animation, as well as ost to tie it all together into a perfect package. And to compare this to another personal 10/10 show for me, this really took me back to the first season of Nagatoro. Both start out a bit rough around the edges in regards to the relationship the main couple have, but over time becomes something great and the journey to getting there is such a good watch. And if you want to go further, both shows had a first season in spring and a second in winter so I personally see them as two peas in a pod lol, that is if season 2 doesn’t get delayed. But with that, I now patiently wait for the next season and enjoy the feeling of finishing this wonderful show which is a nice and sad one lol. |
| We had some amazing newcomers and some returning big names this season but I honestly think this was my favorite this season. The start of the show was pretty awkward, even for me, with Ichikawa going on about killings stuff back in the first episode but as the show progressed you really got to see what it really was, just an awkward guy putting up some wall. I progressively found myself enjoying the series more and more each episode as we see him and Yamada interact. I think what really got me was the visual composition and the OST. I said it back when the first PVs came out, the trailers made the show look almost as if they were movies and some moments in this show really looked good. On top of that, Kensuke Ushio's music during those moments only made them better. Whenever 'the danger of my heart' or the shine start playing, it really heightened the experience. Very happy to see season 2 already announced, I hope the team keeps up the amazing quality of the show. |
| I love this season finale. The first half was wholesome and funny, with the interactions between Kyotaro, his sister and Anna. And the 2nd half was just great, subdued and relaxing. Solid 8/10 for season 1 Looking forward for Winter 2024 |
