Well, it's been a month since I posted in this thread so I have a lot to post. I wish I had more time to listen everyone's posts, but here's what I thought of the songs I listened to:

@Bernd: That clan of xymox song was cool. When I was younger I thought I didn't like 80s music, but from time to time I find a song I like. I forget if I already posted this, but recently I found out about this 80s song. I first heard it when I was at my gym and they were playing it on the radio. It wasn't until the 3rd time I heard it that I was able to remember the lyrics so I could search for the song:

@Samurai: I liked that Flogging Molly song. I have some of their songs that I downloaded in a Celtic rock torrent, but I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet. Here's another Celtic rock song that I've been listening to:

@Wolfwood: I liked that Flogging Molly song and also that cover by Reel Big Fish. I'm not sure if I like it better than the original. I also like this Reel Big Fish song.

@Style: I like that Ana Criado song. Also, that part around the 3:00min mark in the Andy Moor song and the part around 2:30 in the Dash Berlin song were awesome. I like that Emma Hewitt Foolish Boy song, but I prefer this version:

Here's some other stuff I've been listening to (Note: The Bleach AMV has some spoilers so just scroll up a little bit so you can listen to it without watching. Also, the sound quality isn't great, but it was the only version I could find):

Oh, I've seen this AMV 2 or 3 years ago. Nostalgia~

>Renegade- Styx

Not bad, not bad. I've never heard this song before, though.

Here's some great Italian neofolk music:

I've noticed that in some of the songs I listen to, the volume of the vocals seems too low compared to the background music. Does anyone know how I can tell if it's a problem with my speakers or the song itself or the quality (kbps) of the song?

Hmmm, I'm not really sure. The kpbs should have no influence on the volume of the vocals.
Have you tried listening to those songs in different players? Is your EQ on (if yes check the settings)?
Maybe the speaker plug got dirty thus causing an open ground? Though in that case you'd have problem with all vocals not just in some songs.

@Style
What to say, great trance as always!

@furu
So much great picks!
That orchestral rendition of the trance classic is superb.
Can never get enough of Infected Muchroom
Ugress goes straight to 'check out more' list! loved that song.
This is the first time I hear of Klangkarussell. Pretty good, such an unusual mixture, yet it works so well.

@Lotus
'Dime' is pretty nice- I don't know why but I often like Spanish pop.

I saw this unique AMV on yt a couple of days ago. The song could not be more fitting.

Listening to this atm.

@meta
Thanks. There's just something about vocal trance that makes it the only genre nowadays I find good releases from on a consistent basis. Have to love pushing triple digits on the speedometer while taking in the soothing production and vocals. It's heaven on Earth for me...

The opener for Armin's UR:Ch. 6 is pretty awesome too.

Anyway, I like how widespread this thread is. So much stuff I've never even heard of before.

@Lotus: Sell Out is also one of my favorites; Slow Down is another one that's really good.

Lol, Had to add this one when I saw it come up at the end of Bad to the Bone:

@furabes: I enjoyed that Ugress song

@Bernd: I liked that Ianva song

@Arinohyoshi: Nice, I hadn't heard that version of levan Polkka. Kind of reminded me of Celtic rock. I really like the techno remixes, but this was

interesting too.

@Emile: I liked that Faun song a lot. Cool images too.

@Meta: That Sora no Otoshimono song was cool. I also liked the Project X song, Shantel, and Greek one.

Here's what I've been listening to

Recently I've had almost only Japanese stuff in my playlist. Mostly vocaloids (why have I not checked those out sooner!). And one progressive metal band from Sweden called Seventh Wonder (thank you Kamelot).

Stumbled upon Artery Vein some time ago and was pleasantly surprised. Some duo with Kitamura Eri and Imai Asami (who sung that beautiful song in Idolm@aster). So I figured I had to check them out. They sound kind of similar to Kalafina.

And here's some vocaloid songs I like.

Aaand Seventh Wonder. Great stuff.

Here's their 30 minutes long beast, if anyone feels like sitting through it all. As much as I like longer songs, at first I thought 30 minutes was a bit overkill. However, the more I listened to it the more I liked it. Now I think I it's one of the best songs I've ever heard.

Is there a thread about (only) anime music already?
I am trying to find new songs, especially with piano and/or violin.

My favorites are Elfenlied Opening, almost everything on Noir OST and some of the Ghost Hunt OST. The ending of Ghost Hunt is just epic O.o

Yay, I love that Fugees song (mostly because I love Lauryn Hill).

@GomuBlade
I quite like that Gumi song. As someone said on yt 'I'd like to find an instrumental of this'.

@EmileNoir
I completely agree, Ghost Hunt ED is beautiful; Lilium is a classic, definitely the best part of that anime; and Noir OST is probably my favourite Yuki Kajiura's OST alongside Mai-Otome.
As for your question, no, we don't have an anime only music thread in the club, but there are several such threads on MAL. You can check out our OST thread though, there are quite a few great anime OST recommendations there.

As for piano/violin anime songs, here are several I like off the top of my head:

Ok, I should really stop here. This is already too much.

This song was also posted in that OST thread by Catpaw, but posting it here also, since it might be just what you are looking for. And I'm listening it now so it's relevant. :D

Also this morning I have been listening this awesome metal opera by Therion. Great concept album and IMO Therion's best record to date.

@metamorphius: Thanks very much for the links, I def will check them. Seems you like pretty much the same styles as I do.

@jdevries420: Yeah moonshine sonata or Mondscheinsonate...its a classic ^^ Of course it is great. Haven't listened to it a long time so thanks for posting.

@aeco: wow, great Song from Gunslinger Girl! Thanks!

Of course it's not just you, I completely agree with you there. Moonlight Sonata is a true classic, up there with piano pieces like Well-tempered Clavier, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, Rondo in D major, K.485, Rondo alla Turca, Für Elise, Trois Gymnopédies, Apassionata, Waldstein, Chopin's Etudes and Preludes (and tons other Chopin's pieces) etc .etc. I'm too lazy to list more.

Well well, Anette haters got what they wanted. As I have said, Nightwish is really important band to me so ofc huge news for me. Guess i'll be listening some After Forever and ReVamp now, as NW's new substitute singer, Floor Jansen, sings/used to sing in those bands. I wouldn't mind her to join band permanently tbh.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think this after the first shock, I'm actually pretty excited. Huge opportunity for NW to get the best frontwoman of it's history. Floor is really charismatic, tall woman who will look great in stage with the band and amazing singer: she can nail operatic vocals pretty much as well as Tarja but is much more versatile than she is/was.

And you said you hated Gangam Style :P

I don't think that trance remix works well. It's like someone just overlaid two tracks, creating an inharmonious effect; it doesn't mash well. Not exactly bad, it has potential, but it needs a lot of improving.

EDIT: LOL, after writing this, I see the top commenter on yt pretty much already said the same.

While we're still at piano music, what I'm listening to now is (somewhat) relevant.

I've been listening to this first song a lot recently. The second song I listened to a few different versions today, but the one I'm posting is my favorite. The person also made a really cool music video to go with the song so if you have a YouTube account or a Gmail account (you can log into YouTube with a Gmail account) make sure to give them a like because they definitely deserve it.

@Hii-chan: I usually don't listen to that kind of music, but the one you just posted was pretty good (especially the first half).

@Wolfwood: Man, those 8-bit songs sure bring back memories of the good old days of playing NES. I love the originals of those Bleach openings. They used to get me so amped up for Bleach when I'd watch them at the beginning of each episode. I wouldn't have even recognized the 8-bit versions though if I hadn't seen the title. I now feel obligated to post the originals of those songs. I also listening to some Mortal Kombat dubstep today, but I'm posting the original here.

Don't mind me, I was just joking with that comment about Gangnam Style. And yes, I like the remixes better too, although that's not saying much xD

I used to listen to Whine Up a lot. It's one of my favourite Kat DeLuna's songs, I only like Unstoppable and Run The Show more.
Oho, that's some really nice trance (second song). This is the first time I hear of those guys, they're good.

Ok, so I know I just posted, but I just watched a bunch Saturday Night Live comedy music videos. I tried to limit the amount I chose to post here, but there was a lot of good ones. Some are funnier than others while some are good songs even if they weren't humorous. Also, some you might have to wait till towards the end before humorous part happens.
