OPM is originally a webcomic.
The manga adapted it faithfully..... until the duo One-Murata suddenly decided to rewrite some chapters. It's not just redraws: they actually added/removed scenes and dialogues.
And they don't do it linearly, they didn't just restart from scratch to remake it all. For example they would re-release chapter 99 while people were waiting for chapter 110.
Then they would go back to releasing new chapters, until they'd rewrite another already released chapter.
Then they would re-rewrite a chapter. Yes, RE-REWRITE.

As a result, it's confusing what is canon and what isn't.

I read the manga, and I have no idea what you are talking about. Saitama fighting alongside Child Emperor? I never saw it, even though I did read the manga, lmao!
And yet I'm sure you're not lying. You're likely talking about a previous version of that chapter.

All that to say, the manga is the biggest clusterfuck in the entire industry. I had seen mangas with irregular and horribly slow release schedules. I had seen mangas with confusing scenario. But this? This is a unique case.


PS : Oh, also, the anime didn't adapt the chapters linearly indeed. They did adapt several chapters from AFTER the fight with Orochi. However, Phoenix Man happens before it in the manga too.

im being honesy here. hate when its reasonable but gotta acept the fights were preety decent, nothing of wit or ufotable level but preety similar investment as minor fights in s1, like against the mutated beetle or speedosonic. lets not glaze earlier seasons too, maybe the fact u last watched it was 10 yrs ago made they seems like absolute diamonds but they were not, they were very balanced but OPM animation was never the peak of the show.
eps so far have been a consistebt 4-5/10 but this one is an improvement, at peast a 6-7/10

Child Emperor is the bravest of them all. He's really cool as well. Going back to rescue a child in his condition is the reason why he's an S-Class. Other fights were decent as well. Atomic Samurai struggled a lot against Black Sperm. Zombieman and the light guy's fight has barely just started.

But the main fight of the episode was Puri Puri Prisoner and the other monsters. He's seriously a tough guy, no matter who he faces. A guy with a gentle heart who loves his friends. Saitama is still just strolling through the underground tunnels. Looks like the last episode might be where we finally see more of Saitama. One more episode to go in this season.
