| Canute carrying the season so far, that's the problem with pacifism, if somebody practicing war goes on you, you don't have anything to do except to get killedz let's see what Thorfinn does next but Canute looks solid in his ideals, anyways good episode, 8.3/10. |

| So this is what it feels like to witness true PEAK! Damn Kaji Yuki went all out, that was amazing! "I have no enemies", what Thorfinn says is simplistic and the most obvious thing. Yet as this comment section proves some people just don't want to see it that way, and Canute represents that. |
| Well, Thorfinn did say that violence should be the last resort, so there is still a chance that he might go on a rampage. Slim chances though, as he might end up getting his friend killed and also considering the direction of the show so far, but still, I hope he will do that. And yes, I enjoy the series even if it's on a different tone than the last season, but just one more drop of violence would make this perfect for me. |
| Thorfinn made this episode so damn brilliant! You have to admire his iron-clad will in taking those 100 punches from the likes of Drott. Even though at one point when Snake and Olmar arrived, which let Thorfinn get distracted and take a direct hit, he eventually got back up and taunted his opponent with pure emotion. What an absolute beast of a man Thorfinn has become! =) "I have no enemies" is one hell of a powerful statement that Thorfinn made, making it one of the most memorable parts that this series has shown to an anime-only viewer like myself so far. Despite that moment, Thorfinn wasn't able to change Canute's mind on taking the farm for himself. Even Einar's passionate and angry criticism of Canute's plan did nothing to sway Canute's mind at all. Either way, you can feel how resolved Canute was with his overall plan of challenging god and how he refuses to bow down to Thorfinn and Einar's demands. It's sad that there's only two episodes left, but here's hoping that those episodes ends the second season on a high note! |

| I want what Canute is smoking. Saving the vikings... Another great episode with god-tier OST and dialogues but Thorfinn enduring 100 hits to the head because of plot armour was kind of a stretch, ngl. |

| I have no enemies! The absolute joy from hearing Thorfinn say this! That was incredible. The conversation with Canute doesn't amount to much which is kinda sad. But it's like wtf can rly happen? Idk I feel like there has to be some kinda impact on some of the characters besides like Olmar being inspired by Thorfinn's words - else it's like he shoulda just went straight back to Iceland. Well they might continue speaking a bit more next episode but prob not for much longer. |
| I liked how Drott apologized and recognized Thorfinn as a true warrior. Great episode, it was really interesting to see the contrast between Canute and Thorfinn. They both want to create a paradise but are taking very different paths to achieve it. "We just met today. You are not my enemies. I don't have any enemies". Really powerful quote but I just can't get behind the last part. Canute refuses to listen or leave and he's being surrounded by his men. Thorfinn said himself violence should be a last resort and to me at least, it seems we've reached that point. I'm on the fence with regards to Thorfinn's pacifism and I just can't fully get behind it. It depends how Thorfinn handles the situation next episode. |

Of course there are a few differences in terms of storytelling, but the emotions you feel, the growth you get and the tranquility you feel after experiencing both arcs are nearly identical. Both are just fantastic. Berserk on the other hand is definitely more on the brutal side. But that's still whole another peak of peaks. Truly peak Seinen manga, you should definitely read it if you can handle the gore. Heard about the gore and was spoiled about casca 💀. One thing I respect about the seinen big 3 are the artists:Inoue,Miura and Yukimura. The feeling of the characters such as guilt,regret,joy,rage etc are expressed subtly . Definitely, all of them are goated mangakas for coming up with such amazing stories 👏 |
