Sure most of them are random general crap to Linkin Park(Although I do like Linkin Park) that keep the subtitles and use terrible quality. But I have searched around and have found some really good AMV's. Just got to look for them. |

| I don't hate the genral "AMV" idea. Just the maker and how they go about making it. For example, someone could use one of the steryotypical popular songs and make it awesome, but there's a bunch ofcrappy ones that use the same song and make it suck. |

| I do dislike most AMVs, though I have to admit I have found one or more shows that I have liked from them, so I can't discount their benefits. There are quite a few good ones worth watching as well, such as: The problem is, nearly all the ones worth watching are comedy, showing that there really isn't much you can do to make a 5 minute clip of a story that's already been told seem original or entertaining. But there's always exceptions to the rule: As noted before, nearly everything is heavy metal/emo, once again suggesting not much overall creativity. But is regular television/anime that creative as a whole either? Just as with anything there are things worth watching/reading but the majority of it will not be. |
| Youtube is notorious for AMVs and it is just plain sad. I can't most of the time find a episode because of a fricking AMV. I don't watch AMV most of the time and the ones that i watch are more of parodies. |

| No way, i love amv's. They're one of the things that made me watch anime. Usually before start watching an anime, i search for videos. You probably only watched crappy videos because the ones i've seen are truly amazing. People put such an emotion in their videos and make their best to match a song with a character or an anime. That's not something easy to do, i can tell. ~ |

| My views on AMVs are somewhat neutral, though I tend to avoid them. Some of them are great and/or amusing but most of them are... well, a bunch of clips slapped together with a song added. Because most of them are the latter I tend to avoid all AMVs in general. |
| Okay, I have to admit that most of the AMVs out there suck. They're just clips stuck together, probably from one series, or even one episode. But I gotta appreciate some of them that go so far as to make them lip sync or let the song lyrics match what is happening in the clips, or some create a story around the AMV that describes a certain character. Or they add in little special effects and such. Sadly, many of the good ones never get watched because the popular ones are mostly crappy Bleach or Naruto ones with fighting scenes which are only cool in the shows themselves, and have nothing to do with the actual song/lyrics. They're just popular cause they're from popular anime. |

| Ahh... To be honest... Many AMVs are horrible; I can't watch them. When I look for clips of anime, like you, I always get bombarded with crappy AMVs that don't even fit in with the music and stuff like that. :/ I'm not a fan of AMVs but I don't really mind them if they're good. |
| The overwhelming majority of them are painful to watch because it's just a bunch of random video clips (with spanish subs) playing with some unpleasant music playing in the background. From my experience MADs are much more enjoyable, despite often being incredibly random. |

| if you see AMV on youtube and say that you are jerk try to see http://www.animemusicvideos.org/ there have the real deal most expart AMV editors don't post thy hard work on youtube and thy heat it most amv in youtube are random clibs by Window movie maker find good one there and then talk it like you say anime is the worst kind of art and all what you was seeing is ecchi and hentai |

| i love amv's, not because they are well made or anything, it is just the easyest way for me to find new music unrelated to my other music. so normally i jjust click on random amv on youtube and listen to the music while playing a game, cause yea they gennerally arent that great to watch. a few have caught by attention and are just as nice to watch as their real musicvideo, or even better, but that is kinda rare. |

Also the one with berserk is probably the best in it's regard (manga), but there is that much you can do with manga, nevertheless, that guy has skill. To the op, you're obviously focusing on the crappy amvs out there, and they are ofc a lot more than the better ones, but that rule applies to everything in life when viewed from a single persons pov, so there is really nothing to point out other than the fact that you're a hypocrite. A bit offtopic i'm quite stunned at how many good amvs have been posted here, i'm glad the op made the thread, i just added a few more to my favorites :x. Now for some of my personal favorites. My top 1 favorite, a MEP, and it's just on another level when it comes to effects and the overall flow of the whole amv. A welcome to the NHK one, that's prolly pretty popular with those that watch amvs. Very good one aswel. Best baccano! amv i have seen. This is just a personal taste, i really enjoyed the music, and overall the amv is up there A bleach one cuz well... yeah, again the best one i've seen for the ulqiora ichigo fight Great editing skills, and a cool twist to the story combined with an awesome soundtrack. One Piece And i got a load more that are really good, but i'm gonna stop here. |

| I would say about 99% of amvs are shit. And it makes me extremely angry when a shity amv has like a million views. On youtube I am subscribed to about 5 people. they are the ONLY people that I enjoy watching their amvs because they spend time making the clips match the song and get the timing of transitions right and such. So, in a way I agree with you. But at the same time, there are a FEW amvs out there that I love. |
