| I have a very smooth voice and I often get compilemented on. I would guess that the thing that makes it is simply being "serious" about singing. It is very moe when I see people actually experissing themselves and I try to hold no reservetions to achieve the "effect". I only sing one song, though. BTW I also have a 2/3 singing certificate, but I kind of lost interest in musical theory ages ago. |

But, don't ask me to do a rendition of the classics like Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody for example. I tried once, it was a complete trainwreck. A song like that is untouchable. |

It's true, popular rock bands tend to have pretty good vocalists, that's why people love them. Examples like Queen, Matchbox Twenty, Oasis and so many more have great frontmen who can sing very well. But then, as the movie School of Rock says, rock is about the passion, and plainly just not giving a damn. Take a look at AC/DC, one of the biggest rock bands on the planet. Brian Johnson is probably not what you'd call a great vocalist (cause he's screaming most of the time) but he sure can rock and work the crowd. |
