Actual Manga. However, if a series has yet to be released in a way I can actually obtain it then I am left but with one choice, to read it online. I can barely stand doing so as a book lover, so I tend to end up having no motivation to read it at all.

who are you to change this world? silly boy.

I actually prefer reading on my tablet, so I can read while I'm on the go or at work. I don't care for "online" reading of it, though.

I love having something on a shelf, so I like hard copies for that. But I'm much more of a video game collector than an anime/manga collector.

I usually read online, but it's fun to borrow a volume from the library to read.

After such a long time of reading manga online, whether I'm reading it off a screen or off a page doesn't really matter to me anymore (strangely, though, I cannot read novels off a screen- I need an actual book in my hands).

However, this is mostly due to the fact that a great deal of the manga I read are not available for me to have a physical copy of, whether it be because they are not released in English or because my local library does not own them(unfortunately, I absolutely cannot afford manga).

Online most of the time even if my eyes are really bad. LOL

I sometimes check the public library if there are any licensed manga. I do read the actual thing if it's available. Better for my eyes! ;)

...BUT I never buy manga. I used to but it's a waste of money since I finish one in like...less than an hour.

I prefer having the actual manga in my hand, but I'm running out of room to store them in my room, but I have plenty of space on my hard drives, so I'm starting to like downloading more.

I would love to have a paper copy of it but it's just too expensive and I have no room to keep them all, so I prefer to just read it on my computer or iPod.

I'm very picky when it comes to manga D;
I have so many manga on my list that are 'On Hold' because I hate reading them online or on my Kindle. I have to have the physical book in my hands, because I'm a collector and a major bookworm. Plus, I like to go back to my shelf and go through them and look at the different styles and such. It inspires me to draw at times.

I feel ya... reading online is impossible, i dont know how others do it, but reading for just a few minutes kills my eyes. (especially since i have a very big screen).
So i decided to borrow a friends tablet (10'') for a week and see if ill like reading it on it, but it was boring and i felt like im forcing myself to read

I have some actual manga and its much better having the book, but my country dont sell manga so i need to buy online, i still dont know what to do abount the unlicensed manga... i guess i just need to give up (or print them... jk :D).

They closed one of the bookstores I used to get most of my manga from ...
so now I read online and if I'm able to find the actual manga in a bookstore, I buy it right away.
I actually prefer the actual manga (I collect lol) but either bookstores don't have what I'm searching for, or I'm just short on money ... sad.

I like the feeling of owning manga and having all of them neatly lined up on my bookshelf but... recently I went back while rereading Samurai Deeper online when I thought the text online was a little too small and realized something after picking up the manga I have... the text is extremely small and with no cleaners it also is yellow pages instead of white. Also most manga translated into english through a professional publisher actually has really stupid translations, especially when their is no english translation they just make up something. I still remember in pokemon how they would refer to onigiri as donuts in the official english translation.

I read online. The only series I have saved on my computer is Sakamichi no Apollon, but if I absolutely can't find a chapter or series anywhere but the scanlator's site or mangatraders, then I'll just download it and delete it after reading.
And I use Quivi to view manga on my computer.

Same here - I rather wait a little while downloading it than wait each time I change pages. Also via download you usually get the better image-quality.

And through downloading straight from the sources - the sites of the scanlation-groups - you also get the newest info on the status of the projects, can help them via your clicks or a donation and can encourage them to keep going.

I think it's rather sad that most of them don't get more acknowledgement and encouragement for their work for the community, because people tend to visit only the 3rd party online-readers that ripped their releases and now profit through other people's work via ads/clicks.

Usually start with online (or downloaded if complete) manga. Then, if I find it worth of my time and my money I buy it (if licensed in my country) so i can reread it over and over. Also art actually looks better printed than in scan.

I rarely read manga online, i do it only when i am interested in a series which has not been published in my country or to take a look at chapters i have been waiting for too much. Furthermore, i don't manage to get into the story for unknown reasons. Anyway my economical situation doesn't allow me to buy them as often as i used to till a couple of years ago.

Physical is better, but at the rate most of us read them, it's hard for the wallet to keep up. I have absolutely no problem with digital. If I really enjoy the series when I'm finished, I'll buy physical copies when it's possible for me. To support the author, and so I can read it again when bored.

I always read online first before buying the manga. I do prefer actual manga instead of online reading, but I don't want to risk spending money on something I don't like. Also, the selection of manga I find in my country is really bad, and I have a habit of reading in English (which isn't my native language), so it's impossible to find some of the manga I like, tranlated in English.

I read the actual ones, because aside from the paper feel I got on my hand, sometimes they also have extras that the scanlating groups can't give us. But for some specific genre *coughboyslovecough*, I have to read it online, since it's a bit impossible to get my own copy from the local bookstore here.

Not impossible for me but I'd just rather read them online instead of having people IRL know I read them....
