Holy-

I really enjoyed this. I haven't read the manga but I am blown away so far. I hope Rudo gets to avenge his adoptive father. I'm also curious about his arms. I hope everything gets uncovered throughout this season.

The art style and plot are interesting.

The pit scene was intense, can't wait for the next episode!

It's nice. I like it.

Just the way "Trash" has to be mentioned like 70x to REALLY make us dumb 2D enjoyers understand what this Show will be about is so ...Anime.
No subtlety. No respect given to the intelligence of the audience. Just good ol' clubbing us over the head with it's concept. 😅

i don't like the manga but this adaptation is somehow even worse. did not expect this bones fumble. everything looks ass, from the animation, to the artstyle (not bones fault) to the colors which just remind me of mha. can't even like the characters either, but ofc it's already overrated on mal here.

A good start, I loved Rudo and Chiwa's romance (until she totally gave up on him in the end)
The big monster at the end looked sick honestly
Let's see how the story from the supposed successor to Atsushi Ohkubo goes!

pretty solid first ep, bit cliche at times, but the artstyle quickly grows on you and the soundwork is top notch, makes me hope it will be a great show throughout

A fairly good first episode to set up a revenge story. The split between classes, the trash allegory, etc. isn't very subtle, but the bold art direction makes up for it. The mystery behind the pit, what lurks inside, and how Rudo claws himself out are all intriguing plot points. Pretty weak of Chiwa to not have any faith in Rudo at all. It's a shame, she was super cute too. But they needed something to drive home the feeling of betrayal. Some nice direction in this one too. The drop into the Pit was really well done.

That escalated rather quickly. There are environmental themes at the onset, and a hint of Jules Vern in the concept. That cliffhanger locked me in for the next episode.

WOAH WOAH WOAH, this episode met my expectations as an '' Og fan '' of the series [ had to mention it sorry ] but any way's the episode was well done, we had the very dark and light coloring, which made the show pop out with the character styles, buildings, and many others, we also got to see many other great visuals even though there's one complaint I may have that may have been a only me one, so the scene where he falls into the pit and it shows us him looking at someone, the manga does it perfectly and 2 months earlier the anime poster was showing us that panel in an anime style and I thought wow this looks good and anime fans can start theory's with him etc, but when the episode aired the scene was a bit disappointing because I was watching it with my friend and when the scene came on, he didn't notice it until I pointed it out, because of the dark coloring which was cool but was a bit too much maybe? either it might be that or my friend is just a dumb fuck, any ways other than that I enjoyed the episode very very much, THE OST THAT WAS USED WHEN HE FELL OMGGG, one of my favorited things never thought I would like it that much, and also the voice acting is really great, and finally we can also see other points like the pace was a bit rushed for me and felt like regeto death wasn't really affective in the anime, but overall lol the ep was fire! cant wait for the next one.

There are a ton of shows based around an MC who is treated injustly and swears revenge on the world. There are incredibly few where that actually happens, with most instead having the MC betray their own convictions to become a boring and generic hero type.

I hope this is one of the few.

That town's a real piece of work. Poor Rudo lost the people he cared about and was thrown into a pit of garbage.

Well now that he's hit rock bottom, the only way left to go is up!

I like the art style and the music.

But the writing was very clunky and unimpressive. Typical angry but shy boy, cute girl crush, mysterious family history, death of the mentor figure, unfair punishment and an immediate setting swap. Plus an ugly 3D CG trash dragon...

Will have to see more, but that wasn't as interesting or weird as I hoped.

Genuinely don't understand how people enjoy shows like this. The rich clean freaks vs poor dumpster divers world makes no sense if you spend more than a second thinking about it and is so shallow as to allow a 5 year old to understand

It was painful to watch just a single episode

So as someone who adores the manga, this first episode somehow makes me feel iffy for the adaptation.
They change how a certain scene goes from the manga, and it made no sense why they did that.
It's going to be a make or break for me depending on how the fight scenes are.

Oof that was depressing, class warfare huh? Well it is studio Bones so I'll give it a whirl. The garbage pit is hell huh? Fun fact In the New Testament when it says something about "sinners burning in the fires of Gehenna" it's often translated or interpreted to mean Hell, but Gehenna was actually the garbage dump outside Jerusalem. It was in a valley where they supposedly used to sacrifice children in fires to Molach.

The initial plot device seemed a bit forced, but has a few solid mystery hooks and potential for interesting world building. I like the over all aesthetic, a bit gritty and almost nostalgic feeling. Voice acting seems pretty good so far and music is alright. Feels like it has soul and not just another overly polished shounen slop.

Ehhh... I don't know about this. Seems like a basic framed person/revenge story (and the world sucks so I want to change it) with a weird trash theme?

Guess I'll give it 2-3 more episode to see if there's a better hook, but that wasn't interesting.

Okay, I really like the premise of the anime. I was a bit sad that Chiwa ended up not believing in Rudo, since she's being voiced by Miku Itou, I was hoping she was going to be a recurrent character lol Anyway
I really liked the art too.

Amazing ep

We get introduced to our MC called Rudo. He is known as the trash raider. There are two sides of their world, the town and the slums (rich vs poor). There is alot of worldbuilding off the bat, which is great. We meet Chiwa, who is a friend of his and Regto, his adoptive father. His real father was a murderer and probably left Rudo with the dark parts on his arms. THe pit is hell for those who commit crimes and are done by the apostles / police from the town.

Rudo as the raider infultrates the trash facility due to his questionable interest in trash. He gets hurt and escapes.

Rudo tries to bag Chiwa, but gets interrupted trying to give her a bunny as a gift. He reminds me alot of Shinra in a way that I can't explain. He goes back home to Regto and gives him tips to get Chiwa to like him. She reassures him that he won't become like his father, despite the rest of the tribes folk bullying him constantly about his father's actions. He goes again to give it to her and succeeds. He goes home and catches a masked man, who has killed Regto. He tries to fit him off but is defeated.

The apostles really appeared by convenience huh, apostles wouldn’t even let him explain and even got blamed.

Ik Chiwa was fake (as I only read the first chapter). Pretending to hide her disdain for him.

Rudo truly gon let the world know who the true "crashout" is after he gets the chance to come back from the Pit.

But then, a random terrible CGI monster appears. Animation is fine tho.

Let's hope Rudo survives somehow. Hopefully he can make Regto proud and succeed in the promise.

This series really is “trash”. 🤣 pun intended.

Rudo really embodies the quote “ One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure”

10/10

Interesting first episode, this feels as something new to me. I don't think the main character (Rudo) will take his revenge on humanity, I like the idea of him changing the world.
I like how consumism plays a big role in splitting the town in two parts, the good and rich and the bad and poor.

I have no idea why Regto got killed by that mysterious masked person and the Chika betrayal felt so unexpected in the end.
This is one of the first episodes where I have no idea of the story's direction, it intrigues me.

Also, great animations and art style, it reminds me of Danganrompa with those eyes and weird hair. This could be a very good anime, but well, I'll decide after a few episodes. Great start.

Seeing the Angel actually stab the living hell out of Regto instead of Rudo just finding him already pinned is so much more brutal. But would this not be possibly story breaking? It for sure "dumbs" the story down by showing us the act. Rudo bumping into the Angel who drops Regto's book making him and us use logic to link the death with the theft.

OST rocked my socks off.

Interesting first episode. I wonder if the guy who got killed had any connections to certain events or info that led to his murder. His last words about "changing the world" to Rudo, were they just born out of desperation and frustration from their unfair situation, or was there some deeper connection?... or maybe it was all part of a ploy by the masked man to get Rudo deported to The Pit. Or perhaps it's something else entirely.

I'm intrigued to see what happens next.

This does looks like highschool edgelord's wet dream with the usual dialog exposition dump (haha) level of "as you already know, yadda yadda", but the question of all that cleaning fixation of inner city is mildly intriguing so i'll give it a shot for another one or two episodes.
