It's a crime against humanity how most phones don't have a 3.5mm jack built into them.

Wires make electrons move and me happy

True, but anyone who cares about sound quality won't be using a phone for music anyway.

Even when it comes to proper audio equipment, most portable gear isn't worth it in that regard. When I owned a $4,000 DAP (portable digital audio player), I thought $100 desktop amplifiers and DACs (digital to analog converters) sounded better. (Not to mention ones in the same price range.) This is all in the context of high-end headphones and loudspeakers, of course. There's no point investing in high fidelity electronics otherwise.

@Nya_chan5623 I have to wonder how they did Blade Runner.
Concrete + Yellow light + Water caustics is so good.
And yes, I'm fully aware that it's a dystopian sci-fi movie.
@JaniSIr Another cultured person I see, have you watched the 1982 one?
You must be talking about the yellow rooms in Tyrell Corp in 2049, I saw an article where they interviewed Roger Deakins (cinematographer for Blade Runner 2049) and explained how they did caustic refractions.

“The water was lit with 10K Fresnel lamps. There were two per side making eight in all. It was a very tricky rig because it had to be quite high, so as to not be in shot, and the lamps had to have the right angle to reflect and spill across the wall as they do. I was originally expecting that I could do this effect without lighting the water so much. The bottom of the pool had been painted black so, in my naiveté, I thought it would stay quite dark. Consequently I asked my gaffer, Billy O’Leary, to construct long barn door extenders so that the pattern of light on the water would be a pleasing symmetrical shape and the light from the two lamps would merge together.” — Roger Deakins

@149597871 I don't think I have single digit bodyfat at this point. I have muscles but I am not super ripped. If we take 10% off my current weight, we'd be at my peak at 173 lbs (Where I had like 5% body fat), which probably puts me about 12%-15% bodyfat now depending on if its winter or summer.
@PeripheralVision

Unless you compete, you were never at 5%.

@EvolKarma Fair enough, it might have been a a particular week when I was really hitting the peak of my physical regimen, but that's what the gym's scanner told me essentially, give or take like 5% (Assuming this images online of 5% bodyfat are accurate, I definitely looked closer to 10%). My diet was super strict in that I basically ate only rice, steamed rice, chicken and avoided everything with added sugars, and I worked at UPS from 3 to 9 hauling "irregs" (Basically, 50-75 lb packages) everyday :/

@PeripheralVision Ah, yeah you cant really trust those gym scanners. You'd wanna run a dexa for accurate readings. Getting to 5% not only requires the right genetics, but even then, 99% of people wouldn't hit it. Its extremely taxing on the body (think walking corpse) and requires knowing pretty much the exact calories for everything you intake. Essentially why for those that can achieve it, they'll only do it for short periods - right before a comp.

But regardless, even getting to around 10% is extremely commendable and shows how hard you worked, so well done!

@Nya_chan5623 A concrete building might be affordable, but no way a contraption like that is viable in a home...

@JaniSIr the next best thing is just doing that in a 3D software like Blender, Unreal Engine, Cinema4D etc. xD

@Nya_chan5623 That totally defeats the point of, you know, architecture...
And like am I supposed to wear a VG goggle at home 24/7?

@JaniSIr Architecture isn’t just limited to real life, if it was, architects wouldn’t be rendering their blueprints in AutoCAD to show their clients xD
Like I said, “its the next best thing” unless you have the money to construct actual concrete megastructures to experience the essence of brutalist
architecture in this economy 💀

Another option is to visit famous brutalist inspired architectures throughout the world, but I bet the plane ticket prices aren’t your friend either, so…

@Nya_chan5623 Mega structure definitely not, but a one family home is possible.

@JaniSIr I’m thinking a fairly sized brutalist house with artificial caustic refractions shone on walls using a hidden projector would recreate the aesthetic.

I mean, it was from my university as part of a health assessment I signed up for, but there is always going to be some margin of error with most accessible form of technology. This is me trusting those images on Google, by the way regarding body fat percentages. If I had to guess given those images, I would have been 12% max given the accuracy range of the one given to me.

I do agree is not sustainable over a long period of time, but I was fairly ripped. I was not kidding about my diet. It was literally devoid of anything with added sugar. Breakfast was either eggs or grape nuts. Greek Yogurt with no added sugar. Water, but no protein shakes. Entire rotisserie chicken was my main source of meat (I literally ate one a day, half for lunch and then later). Part of this is that I am someone who does not like to think or plan, so going with a streamlined food option made eating easier.

I look back and wondered where did I have such discipline...

I was pretty ripped back then, which is notable because Asian men tend to accumulate body fat around the abdominal region, which if I had to guess, would take a lower body fat percentage than it would be for most other people on average. This is more noticeable between men and women, since women can seemingly get ripped at a higher body fat percentage than men.,

It probably applies to myself as I noticed now that I tend to be potbellied if I don't work out enough (I no longer work at UPS thankfully) Since I was going for defined abdominals back then, it guess it would be single digits if I dehydrated enough on certain weeks. The potbellied thing is sort of fun though (A "dad bod" it seems), but yeah, body fat distribution is super important.

Star Wars Sequel Trilogy is not that bad. Granted, it may not be as good as Original Trilogy or even Prequel Trilogy, but it's still a good trilogy.
