This is the only episode so far, I didn't enjoy quite as much. I am usually fine with dialogue heavy stuff, but this just felt like deep conversation after deep conversation which made it seem a little pretentious especially considering all they talk about is ideology. Nothing about how the heretic organization is ran or any insights into what they do just endless discussions about beliefs. Jolanta dying also just seemed very forced and a missed opportunity for Novak's character. Almost seems like there is more to it because it's hard to believe all that build up was for nothing.

What a tragically beautiful episode. I think it's just okay that Jolenta and Nowak did not reunite together, it would be just a waste of time if they reunited again, knowing that Nowak already accepted that her daughter was dead. And for the second time around, he did not witness his daughter death. Draka and the Heretics were caught and I hope they will be all safe.

I don't know how they do it, but I get so much anxiety watching this show, more than horror or action shows. It's so grounded and the stakes are high, and there are traitors and enemies chasing them everywhere.

The hell? I thought the young boy was Schmidt... but no, it was he, FREI.

I'd say how the organization is run has a lot to do with each of their beliefs. The show makes it clear that it's a very loose group whose only shared goal is to bring down the Church. Each member comes from a very different place, in some ways directly contradictory. Schmidt wants to revert humanity to nature, but Jolenta is a scholar who wants progress and freedom of thought for humanity. Schmidt completely rejects humanity's idea of God, but Jolenta quotes scripture and believes she is acting according to God's will. Lewandowski seems to be mostly concerned with his personal salvation. Who knows what Frei is thinking (nothing good, probably).

I liked seeing Draka challenged and influenced by so many different viewpoints in quick succession. And as Schmidt says at the end, every one of them is acting on their own conviction. Now she will have to choose too.

Yeah that one's a bummer. But curious to see where the show takes this.

The show seems interested in that feeling of "never finding out" and "never being sure." I wonder if this will come to torment Nowak; it might've been better for him to know that that was his daughter.

It felt kinda anti climatic. That being said Jolenta did go out with a bang. I was sure we'd get a confrontation b/w Nowak and Jolenta but they did something interesting. Their paths cross and fade without them being aware of it. They were so into by their convictions that they missed what truely mattered, which in this case is each other. That's some really deep dramatic irony. While frustrating, it's much more tragic. The parellelism to him holding his daughter's blown off hand is chilling. I hope Nowak finds out later. I can't say it enough but the writing of this show is soo good.

wtf was that all buildup for?? they did absolutely nothing with jolenta and her father
such a fucking waste
dropping my score to 9 from 10

it couldve been so good. Like literally a single sentence or two of dialogue wouldve been enough
so annoying

I do think it's really disappointing that a reunion didn't really happen. Perhaps its the authors way to have Nowak to be deeply intertwined with the rest of the episodes as he really is a curveball when it comes to how things play out. However a part of me really wanted just even a brief exchange, not even lasting a minute to have happened, so that perhaps another inner conflict would be in in his mind. Does he snuff out the root of what caused his daughter to die? or does he honor her wishes as her one and only father.?

I really do hope his conclusion is satisfying, but this is Orb we are talking about, I'm 90% certain as of me typing this that it wont let me down.

Nooo Jolenta's suicide explosion in front of the starry sky and her father, this is the ultimate sacrifice but it's hard to see that after all of the philosophical discussion she got and what we saw about her character previously... now it didn't even allow them to fully escape as they got arrested at the end :(

Very curious to see what the author has in store for Nowak, there must be a reason he has kept him alive for this long.

Meh, is this how Jolenta dies? seriously? SERIOUSLY? I liked the previous episode a lot, but this episode was kinda lame because of it, and worse of all, that mofo of her father is still alive but I guess he won't be dying till the last episode or something and he better die for good measure a slow painful death because if that mofo survives the ending then I will start kicking puppies.

What a meh episode, get the fuck out of here with that shit, goddamn.
