Haryu Senpai - the big gun on the badminton team, is seen walking with Chinatsu making Taiki all kinds of worried and jealous! Is there anything going on or??

Wait, now he is paired with his "rival" in love? Oh things are going to get messy.

Very enjoyable, I expect it to be one of the best animes with a romantic classification.

The current pairing of childhood friends and overwhelmingly popular Senpais, Taiki's deflated feeling is only but a downward spiral.

For Haryu-senpai to call Chinatsu by her Chii nickname, it only exacerbates Taiki that their co-living doesn't make them any closer at all. Of course, nothing goes by without Chinatsu sensing Taiki's worries enough to sound off to him, and him playing off her genuine concerns might just be the boost he needs to push forward. But being TOO concerned about even the most miniscule of their relationship, Taiki is clearly feeling overwhelmed that Chinatsu might be stolen to Haryu since he's reaching the level of what Taiki is aiming for, as much as Kyo is the punching bag for his whims.

The leg bracelet that Chinatsu so provided Taiki last episode gave at least one match push for his best (even though he'll lose to Haryu decidedly), but her wantng to play badminton with him out of the blue, she is a real ace for noticing Taiki giving his all with his no-losing mentality, and always reaffirms him that he'll be fine to win next time, since he's always liked her to begin with. Chinatsu's nickname is a universal thing because she's so loved by everyone, and Taiki having to be paired with the romantic rival he's trying to beat for doubles, Haryu-senpai's a real Spartan, not just because he knows his crush on Chinatsu, but he's also a real hard worker. Compared to the inferiority that is Taiki, everyday is a battlefield for him, and to both be berated and made fun of in front of the Senpais, there's at least a silver lining that he acknowledges Taiki's working hard.

The bombshell of Haryu having a girlfriend, it's the stint of his personality that truly gets on Taiki's nerves, lol.

AAAAA nice anime, I love sports anime and this have a cute couple as protagonists.

Taiki is a cool guy despite insecure, he is not a boring prota. He is the hardworking nice guy who will grow up as the story continues (and succeed both in love and badminton).

Chinatsu is cute and cool too, the kind of girl I would like to be friends with.

Lol Haryuu is actually a chill and cool guy even though when it comes to sports he's training very hard, but it turns out he has a girlfriend so MC was stressing for nothing ahaha, at least he can finally aim for Chinatsu without worrying about her other relationships

Haryu-senpai seems to be a great guy after that revelation at the end.

Also, that すごいじゃん from Chinatsu at the end was cute ^^

If the 3-episode rule applies to any anime, then it applies to this one. Wouldn’t say that existing aspects improved, but rather than newly introduced ones have elevated the show overall.

We have to pay respect to Taiki’s mentality. He gets flustered easily of course, but now that can easily be overlooked with seeing how he decided to deal with situation in this episode. Instead of letting it get to him, he chose not to let seeing Chinatsu and Haryuu together interfere with his passion of badminton, and still brought his A-game when faced up with what might have been his romantic rival. He sets anything drama-related aside and went to work. Respect. He is way better as an MC now imo.

Like when Taiki comes across Haryuu and the other second years, and he gets roasted pretty hard about his badminton skill? Even more respect. He just internally accepted everything negative Haryuu was saying about him and took it like an absolute unit: “everything he’s saying is right!” Salute to the man right there.

And how about our new character Haryu who gave us the cliffhanger at the end of the previous episode? He is cool. Man is just a chill guy. Was dreading that the rivalry between him and Taiki would be a toxic one. Thankfully it appears not to be, you can tell the second he starts teasing Taiki about liking Chinatsu; it looks to be the start of a healthy rivalry. Bless. He also had a girlfriend, so no love square here. He might break up with whoever his idol-or-whatever girlfriend is and then bring the heat with a love square, but none of that for now at least- and may that never happen. Dude might just be a good senpai for Taiki to truly look up to. Taiki does willingly and happily take Haryu’s guidance, and Haryu does seem to genuinely want Taiki to unlock his full potential. Whatever friendship they will have will be great to see.

The animation continues to be sublime. It’s such a joy to watch any of the badminton scenes. Decided not to watch blue lock s2 because yeah. But if you did, coming from that to this must feel ethereal.

Hina still claps Chinatsu hard because Chinatsu is just so boring, but it’s still early so let’s let things play out a bit more at least.

Other than Chinatsu annoying me with her blandness I really enjoyed this episode. It’s refreshing to see for a change the mc guy not to be bland, I really like him and he’s been super funny and goofy. I did like how Haryuu acted to him just to tease him, I hope they end up being friends. Chinatsu telling the MC was doing a good job was the only time so far she didn’t annoy me (sorry not sorry)

This episode broke me - I like badminton and was hoping to enjoy this. But I can't be arsed with another forced-tension romance or unlikely love triangle, not to mention an MC who overreacts like he's stuck his fingers in a light socket every time the girl looks at him.

Could have been a good boy & girlfriend spurring each other onward sports story, but it's spoilt by the MC and the lame domestics.

Dropped.

Taiki is feeling more awkward and flustered when he saw Haryu and Chinatsu together. Then he was in a match with Haryu where he lost but gains a spot as doubles with Haryu.

In the end, Haryu reveals he has a girlfriend who is in the show business. He thanked Chinatsu for accompanying him to buy makeup. Thus Taiki was relieved to hear it. He also glad to know Haryu see a potential in him when he puts Taiki to such practice regime.

A nice episode that lifts the spirit.

Thankfully Haryu is a chill guy and actually has expectations for Taiki. I hope he'll become one of the few guys that are close to him because the dynamic is kinda funny lol

I dooooon’t want to write anything!!! I just want to watch episode 4 right now!!! Oh my god!

Hario is a clever manipulator, he managed to push Taiki Inomata into improving his skills! I feel like he’s a good senpai and an excellent mentor for Taiki. He will surely help him achieve his dream of competing in the top tournament!

Something I forgot to mention in the last episode—the wristband that Chinatsu gave to Taiki! It gave him such a strong motivation to reach his dream. And now, I have a question. Please, if you’re reading my comment, answer this for me…

Do girls really give you that much energy and strength when they cheer for you, or is this just an anime thing?

Because in Arab countries, boys and girls are usually separated in everything—schools, activities, etc. So, I’ve never had a girl cheer for me before. I feel like this concept is exaggerated… Anyway, let’s watch episode 4! Enough writing.

So far very good, I just wonder why Hina is also the main cast if she doesn't look like she loves him, maybe she is hiding it still? Maybe she will win? ;o but damn he is lucky two girls support him.. ;(
not sure if Haryuu not being his rival is good but their interactions were funny ;]

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P

I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)

I really am loving this anime. This episode was if plot-twist had a plot-twist and they continue to double down lol. It's like a spiral and not a downward one. They cleared up everything audience were worried about and not only that, they cleared the future as well. I see a lot of potential in this series considering they have a lot on substance based on my view from this episode. This line was a mouthful xD
I cannot believe that I am liking a series so much that I am writing each episode review. Considering I was watching Giji Harem before this, man I just keep winning lol

better than the second one, especially for the focus on Taiki trying to challenge himself and stronger rivals in his beloved badminton. It seemed inconvenient to discover that he will team up with Haryu, and to discover that he has already a GF and thus should be out of competition for Chii. Allegedly. Hopefully, more hoops focus for her is arriving too.

Continuing from where we left off, Chinatsu and Haryu are second years who share the same class and both got elected as class representatives on top of being star athletes, to the dismay of Taiki. It also doesn't help that Haryu refers to Chinatsu as Chii, though it later turned out to be a nickname that everyone in her class gave her.

The badminton match between Haryu and Taiki was thrilling and well animated, and it's cool to see Taiki reflect on his shortcomings in every match. It's also nice to have someone as emotionally intelligent as Chinatsu, who knew right away that Taiki wants to practice more and promptly prepared to do it together with him. She's apparently proud of Taiki's performance.

Taiki's been paired up with Haryu for doubles, to his misfortune. Despite Haryu using Taiki's interest in Chinatsu to put him through the ringer, Taiki endured it all for the entire week, and that earns him Haryu's respect by the time he is introduced to Chinatsu's friend group. This is also where Haryu reveals that he actually has a different girlfriend who currently works in showbiz, and that the reason why Chinatsu tagged along with him at the start of this episode was because he wanted to feel less awkward with buying makeup for said girlfriend. That should give Taiki one less thing to worry about.
