Smudy said: I agree with you, they are overall well made and really shows a new perspective on the cast but i think putting them at the start of each new seasons is a mistake, it was fine in season 2 since it was an exceptional story to tell and was what 3 episodes? But it becoming a routine is not the way to go, it kills the rythm and you start actually missing the real main cast after a couple episodes,ropiel said: TBH my favourite parts of the show have been the flashback arcs since they provide great insight how the gang has formed overtime and they all were strong. Don't blame you though, can be divisive since they only focus on one or two characters only each.Season 4 had its trouble but this season is almost perfect for now, every episode has its purpose, no long ass backstory, full plot and man its really Stray Dogs at its best, don't think i enjoyed this show this much since the prequel arc of season 2, if every episode is like that i'll consider this season as a masterpiece. Chuuya and the boss's backstory in s3 is a good example of that, it took half the season, abrubtly ends, then the show introduces us to the billionnaire club (forgot what they are called) and made all the season's premise with the 6 episodes left, which made it feel rushed and less impactful And man season 4 was the nail on the coffin, i was very excited to see Rampo's backstory but it really was too long, 6 to 7 episodes right? Then we get the doc's backstory back to back after a little bit of action???? i absolutely hated that, felt like watching a totally different anime at this point That was the turning point for me, which made me dislike s4 a little bit (even if the finale part on the casino was great), Season 5 really fixes that while using 4 seasons worth of backstories and event which makes it so good and entertaining. So yeah TLDR: No prob with backtories but put them as ova or something they just take too much place and sometimes aren't that relevant to the theme of the season which can be annoying. |

| Another Captivating episode of Bungo Stray Dogs. The leader of the terrorist dudes has bene caught by the double agent and that is where we spend most of the episode other than the fact that alot of the people inside Yokohama are now turning into Zombie like people like holy shit this whole terrorism arc is going way further than I thought it would. Also that dude is now dead because I thought he was going io take down the terrorist dude but now he's a vampire and the episode ended so everything is still going to the plan Aka going to shit for everyone else. Isn't that just lovely and splendid. |
