This is starting to remind me of an anime called Killing Bites. People wagering on a death match while the MC gathers allies throughout the game. I guess you can't have a cold blooded killer for an MC but maybe a touch of darkness might be helpful......but he will just let his collection of misfit allies do it....yeah......that sounds more probable.

I like Rein she’s smart but not 2 annoying for a kid. Kanames ability is awesome even though the florists was OP. Getting sick of Kaname letting everyone go free he should have just killed him.All these would be alliances and friendships…

The battle with Florist put me off a bit. I was expecting more psychological battles. The moment he wrapped himself in plant armor and started running around punching and kicking Kaname like it was DBZ or some shit, I started to lose interest.

Still, it seemed like the series saved some face with the end of episode reveal. At this point I can't imagine anything changing too much. I will probably continuously be impressed by certain moments and be offput by others until we reach the sudden end. And, at the rate we're going, I most definitely think it's going to reach a screeching, unsatisfying halt of an end. This may have benefited from having some more episodes, though I can certainly see why someone would be wary about making this 2-cour. I wonder if the manga would be any better?

Eh it's not really gripped me but I could keep watching. Here's probably a good place to take a break from it tho as the recap ep covers up to here right? Probs come back to this after a while and start by watching that.

...while pointing a bolt action sniper rifle designed for long range at extremely close range...with the scope covers still on, and no backup iron sights. Yeah, that's not really how it works, much like how the MC shouldn't have been still hold onto a flashbang when it went off as if his hand wouldn't have been blown off or severely burnt when it did.

However, I think I liked this episode better than the earlier ones. Although, silly MC uses overpressure ammo (more gunpowder) instead of armor piecing or incendiary. I don't even think overpressure rifle ammo is a thing, typically it's just for handgun ammo. If the MC can make anything because of his sigil, he should have made depleted uranium rounds then, best penetration.
