| aaand people in this thread in the past is exactly the same type of stuff that made me stray away from anime for the past like... eight years. i dont know how to feel after this chapter. i wish i honestly read this and followed through reading when i was younger because i probably would have enjoyed it a lot more even with some inability to catch the nuances due to lack of life experience. oh well, everybody loves it and im determined to see whats up. |

| I'm not gonna defend her actions, cause what Midori did was wrong. Though, I do have a little sympathy because I can understand why she did what she did. She is lonely, depressed, frustrated, and confused. Having lost her new home, her new family, her partner, and her sense of belonging -- she was trying to find comfort in any way possible (while trying to get back at Yuichi at the same time.) With the added insult of her achieving her dream with her own cafe, only to be met with the sharp ironic disappointment of being at the saddest time of her life. Are her actions justified? Definitely not. But I can't help but feel for her as well. Though she did dishonor herself quite so, by making things worse and involving other people in her torment. Punpun though, kid is just an emotional victim caught in the middle of everyone's bullshit. |

| This should go without saying, but men can be sexually victimized by women too. What happened here was unambiguously rape, and while one can easily explain the emotional throughline that led Midori to doing it, there's no excuse for her actions. At all. Pretty much every adult in Punpun's life has failed him up until this point. God, this series is bleak. EDIT: The older replies to this thread are gross as hell. |
