| Buddy Complex sells figures, kits or whatever it's called, that's why, the bu ray/dvd sales hurt it but the merchandise must have made up for it. Blu ray/dvd aren't everything, WIXOSS will sell cards and I see Hamatora as a warm up for Durarara personally and the sales they do get will offset the animation in the long long. |

Not sure how popular the cell phone game is, but as a result of being a direct subsidiary of Namco Bandai Sunrise kind of does things differently than most anime studios in that they have like 12 sub studios each with their own producer and that their considerations are largely multimedia related and vertically and horizontally integrated as such within the Namco Bandai family which has a stake in everything from toys to games to music to anime to amusement parks. |

For one of the top selling LN franchises, most of the people buying the show already know the twist so it shouldn't have much of an impact I'd imagine. |

It seems like Japan still isn't convinced so if it were me I wouldn't exactly be putting any last minute bets down on this show right now if that was the early response to it's keynote episode since it's based around the PV that started Kagerou Projects rise to fame. All the episodes that are currently up for preorder seem to have aired now as well. Still we'll see where it's at at the end of the week as it literally just aired a few hours ago and it's still late night in Japan, but this is the episode that really needed to just blow peoples socks off and get an immediate and resounding positive response and it looks like it did not. |

It most definitely did not, honestly, I would have probably prefered it if they just went ahead and put the PV of the song in there instead of what they did. I adore the series. Can't wait to see the actual numbers though. v1 and v2 can end up doing rather good if it has a storefront effect. I'm talking about maybe even reaching 15k in its first week, at this point I wouldn't even be surprised at 20k for v1 and v2. That is ofcourse assuming its storefront/underestimation is as big as KnB and that it keeps performing like this on Amazon Stalker. But v3 will have a big event ticket drop, its final number depends on how big the drop will be. |
