I don't really like anime with whiny weak cry baby leads but that's all that seems to be left sigh I think my anime journey has come to an end unless someone can give me some list of masterpieces I have missed .

Edit:sorry if I didn't like your anime nothing personal it just didn't keep me entertained I wish the rating system was either masterpiece, good, and bad number ratings aren't reliable to me.

Go watch Gurren Lagann. Its giant robots beating the crap out of each other filled with intense, manly action. Its great and one of the best anime out there. There is one sort of whiny cry baby lead but he isn't a whiny crybaby forever and is only like that for about 11 episodes.

Try it.

dropped steins;gate (which you should probably try to pick up again)? evangelion and monster are put as the same rating as naruto (filler hell) and harem arts online?

your scoring aside, others you should check out:
fate/zero
ghost in the shell: SAC
Phantom requiem for the phantom
shinsekai yori
tatami galaxy
baccano!
cross game
agree with - anohana, clannad (+ afterstory), psycho pass, and gurren lagann

If you don't mind slice of life episodic goodness, kino's journey, mushishi, and natsume yuujinchou are great too.

You really should finish STEINS;GATE. It's rated really highly (for good reason) and is considered a favorite for many.

Also, you definitely need to watch FATE/ZERO. You don't need to watch Fate/Stay Night to understand it (I watched F/Z first).

There are also some really good anime films you should watch. Apart from Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki films (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle), you should consider watching: Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, 5 Centimeters Per Second.

So yeah, finish Steins; Gate. Watch F/Z. Think about some anime films as well.

Im posetive you would like Gungrave, first episode seems a bit 'weird' but really watch 3 or 4 episodes and im sure you'd like it.

You rated 3 Steins Gate, so I guess you might enjoy School Days.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

You haven't even seen all Ghibli movies nor all the classics from the 70s and 80s? Your journey has not even begun...

Also, most series in this thread like SAO or Elfen Lied are surely not classics in the original sense or series that truly shaped or expanded the boundaries of anime.

Why did you drop Steins;Gate? Okay I know it's boring in the beginning but it is the best time travel anime! So mindtwisting! You should absolutely continue it.
