| You really should finish STEINS;GATE. It's rated really highly (for good reason) and is considered a favorite for many. Also, you definitely need to watch FATE/ZERO. You don't need to watch Fate/Stay Night to understand it (I watched F/Z first). There are also some really good anime films you should watch. Apart from Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki films (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle), you should consider watching: Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, 5 Centimeters Per Second. So yeah, finish Steins; Gate. Watch F/Z. Think about some anime films as well. |

| You haven't even seen all Ghibli movies nor all the classics from the 70s and 80s? Your journey has not even begun... Also, most series in this thread like SAO or Elfen Lied are surely not classics in the original sense or series that truly shaped or expanded the boundaries of anime. |
