Hopefully they bring back all of the San Andreas features they didn't include in 4. The game was an overall disappointment.

There's already 999 -e 999999999 games like that, we don't need another.

I'm hoping they have an interesting setting this time. The whole urban gangsta thing wasn't appealing to me at all. Vice City, however, was pretty amazing if you'd ask me. That, and it needs something to build to rather than just a storyline with barely any noticeable in-game progress.

That's extremely unlikely.

They can add it all they want if it's not obligatory.

Apparently the most likely setting for V is Washington DC. Well, we'll know in a week.

Vegas was in San Andreas, as I'm sure you know. I hope it's set somewhere other than SA, Vice and Liberty.

I'm also hoping for a PC version, but after RDR that seems unlikely.

It's probably the US again, judging by the logo.

Rumours are it's LA. Which will be slightly disappointing if true, but still...it's GTA so it's gonna be awesome.

I'm interested in where this game will take place and what, if any, new features will be added. A multiplayer feature similar to the one in San Andreas would be nice. That game was so much fun
This game could definitely be a day one pick up for me under the right circumstances.

Agreed, It'd be nice to see GTA take a completely new direction. Otherwise it'll feel like I'm playing the same game again.
Just like how it's felt the past however many games.

Best news of the year. GTA, one of the best franchise ever. Unlike other games, it actually gets better with each new title. (though there was some loss of quality from GTA SA to GTA 4)

Oh, or a alternate timeline. For example, a dark and dystopian US which rose as a result of the Cold War never ending, making the American government becoming steadily more brutal and paranoid under the fear of communism and Soviet agents.
A huge Arcology city with multiple layers, from a crime ridden undercity to a pristine top level full of rich elite people. Maybe throw in extra police and surveillance cameras everywhere in the top layer to invite a more stealthy play-style there.

Either way, there is surely a limit to how many times they can pull the same old similar thing. Would have been really cool if they just kept the same general playstyle but put it in a completely different setting.

NO!

An alternate timeline is fine but I will NOT HAVE another "cold war never ended" story. I get enough shooters with that and I will not have it ruin my mucking about the city games.

It would be awesome if they set GTAV in Nantucket.

OR... better yet, set it in a Texan city where every citizen is packing, so the game introduces new challenges as you face down having to avoid getting killed by people who will do whatever it takes to keep their streets clean.

Japan would be better, the most logical step as well. it would be able to do Bamans idea of Massive Archaeology type setting and plus Tokyo is the most advanced city in the world so they could even add futuristic stuff as well.

Heck even London would be good.

Oh this reminds me has anyone every played The Saboteur ? One of the most underrated games of all time, and way better than GTA in so many ways. Even better than L.A Noir.

Actually the best game of it's type.

Not liking what Rockstar has been putting out, guess red dead was ok even if the controls were as bad as gta IV and L.A Noir was meh. Saints Row was infinitely more fun than GTA IV

Wasn't LA one of the cities in San Andreas? And they just made a game taking place there doubt they would do that.

Well, they never technically set a game "in" a real city, just a thinly-veiled ripoff of that city.

But yeah, it was.

I own it but haven't got round to playing it yet. It does look good.

I think this next GTA will be LA for the simple fact that they've always alternated between east side and west side of the states, and so before the next gen of consoles, they'll want to visit California and recreate it in scarily realistic fashion like they did with NY.

I think the next game after they might take a risk and break routine by heading to another continent.

That and the fact they probably just re uses L.A Noir and re do it in a modern setting, easy peasy.

The Sabetour is great, play it! Trust me, after you do GTA will just seem dull by comparison.
