| Oh wow, I was NOT expecting this to get a 2nd season but it is definitely welcome! At first I thought it was Beast Tamer that was getting a 2nd season but instead it's the Weakest Tamer and I'll re-watch the first season right before the 2nd one starts. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

I mean it is quite common to have gaps after the show longer than the month for sequels.
like hell, Kimi ni Todoke had over a decade before S3 was announced
| @mccreepyy Right, but my point was that if an announcement isn’t made soon after a season ends it likely means they decided not to make a sequel. It doesn’t mean they can’t come back and decide to make another season later. But the chances of that are generally lower, especially for shows that are less popular. So it’s very surprising to see. |

@MewsicMagic first time? Waiting months for announcements is the norm not the exception. Sequel announced right after season 1 ended just mean that both seasons were in the pipeline simultaneously. Normally it takes time.
| @Otakupervert890 it’s been almost 2 years for this show not months, the “norm” is generally within a month or two after the first season ends, and if nothing is announced within a year, then It pretty much means the decision not to make more was made. It doesn’t mean they can’t decide to make more much later, but for shows that aren’t bigger hits it’s much less likely. Considering that most of the shows getting new season announcements, not releases, that happen years after a first season ended are fairly popular, which objectively speaking, this is not, makes this surprising. |

| @Otakupervert890 And look at that, most of those shows you listed are much bigger hits than this one, which is why I said it's unlikely to happen if it's not a very popular or successful show. Being more popular means they make more money, which helps their case for getting another season, obviously they'd make more of a show that has better chances of financial success than another. Picking a few popular shows that had cases like that doesn't define the norm, heck Black Butler and Blue Exorcist went much longer between seasons than those. Most shows that aren't very successful don't come back after a couple years or more, that's just the norm, and it makes sense. |

@MewsicMagic you say doesn't define the norm? Ok ball in your camp find me all the anime that had a sequel announcement within 2 months of finishing airing of the last 15 years and see for yourself.

If you want to you can find it yourself and compile all that data into a graph if you care about finding out what the "norm" actually is. It's not that relevant to my original post anyways. Besides, does it even matter at the end of the day? The people who decide what the "norm" is are the people who decide whether shows get more seasons or not, and that is whoever is funding the anime. Simply put, shows that have more popularity make more money, so it's pretty easy to guess why a sequel announcement of this wasn't expected after 2 years. This conversation topic doesn't need to continue as it's not important, and it's outside of the forum's main topic anyways. |

Wow Gaslight people into thinking there will be a second seasong, I read the manga after watching the goated show, there was a endiing after the first season.
The only content afterwards are just enough for propbly 1 or 2 OVA episode.
There is no way for a second seasong. I loved her work and the creator of the manga is working on something else, and is currently only in japanese and I hope it will be in english version later.

| @Koppio The source for the show is the Light Novel, as it's the original work, the manga is likely far behind the novel in terms of the amount of content. In fact when the anime ended the Manga only had up to episode 6 adapted into it. The LN probably has enough content to make at least another season, possibly more. |

| I enjoyed Season 1, but towards the end it felt like they were kinda giving up and getting sloppy. The last arc was very underwhelming. Surprised that they're back for more. |

| @Mainnus I would expect it to be the same as S1 of this show so long as the studio and staff remains largely the same the quality of product shouldn’t vary that much. |
