Honestly, the most shocking thing wasn’t Mai dropping the “I’m Kirishima Touko” bomb in a dream.. it was Sakuta actually using a smartphone like a functioning member of society lol. When this season started I, no, rather all of us wanted that first-season magic. More Sakuta and Mai banter, the stuff that carried the show. Instead, we got sidetracked into Uzuki arcs and, god forbid, Himeji. Nothing screams “season quality drop” louder than handing screen time to the least-needed character, that is, Himeji. And yet, here she is again. Of course smh.

On the bright side, or well, “bright” in this series usually means Mai’s life is on the chopping block, Koga’s little comment makes it feel like the stakes are actually going up this arc. It’s really Mai saves this series once again. I’m not sure how true the dreams that everyone saw will eventually become, but yeah, the fact that Sakuta somehow landed a date with Santa girl, that in itself will be something to look forward to in the coming episodes lol.

Sakuta dreamt that “At the April 1st music festival, Mai would come out and reveal that she is actually Tōko Kirishima.” At the same time, access disruptions began occurring across several major social media platforms due to a flood of posts tagged #Dreaming. As the hashtag #Dreaming stirred up society, Tomoe Koga told Sakuta that she had dreamt of Mai being involved in an accident during her one-day police chief event, leaving her unconscious and in critical condition. Remembering the message from another possible world’s Sakuta — “Mai-san is in danger” — the unease weighed on him. Just then, the miniskirt Santa appeared before him once again.

Really? They are making Mai a singer now??? Really

I knew she sang songs in season 01 when she was in Nodoka's body, but that was using Nodoka's voice and vocals.

But just a dream

And honestly, it just seems stupid at this point that Sakuta still doesnt have a smartphone, or even an old-school-cellphone. At least he had one in the dream.

And of course, now Sara also works at the restaurant. Because why not. Every heroine gets a job there instantaneously if they belong to the harem.

And finally, the best girl, Santa girl, her arc officially begins. The sassy-beauty is the full-star now.

When Santa girl sat on the desk waiting for Sakuta to finish his exam, she looked yummy.

And oh gosh, dont tell me that Santa girl and Takumi have a history??!!!!

Im assuming with the way Santa girl Nene looked at Takumi during the scarf scene. And they are both also from the same area in Japan (Hokkaido).

I mean, Takumi has been a pointless background character who only thinks of dating girls, and now you telling me that he has a history with Santa girl Nene?!!! How would he even pull that beauty???!!!

There has been no evidence in the first 10 episodes that they knew each other. And now we gotta accept that they have a history??

And looks like Miori will also play a role in this Santa girl arc. She too has been a pointless, but entertaining, background character.

And all this Mai drama would have been avoided if the other-world had simply told Sakuta when and how Mai would be in danger, instead of writing that "Mai is in danger and find Touko".

And I liked the "new" ending, with showing us a bit of Santa girls feet, plus her history.

Anywho, once again

In this season, Santa girl > Mai

Sakuta should cheat on Mai with Santa girl.

Ending with another cliffhanger.
Well it looks like they are getting closer towards the end of this arc but there are still some questions.
It does look like his friend has something to do with Santa girl the questions is what.

Maybe the real Kirishima Touko was the friends we made along the way? The parallel worlds and dreaming stuff is starting to get a little complicated for me, but I know this ending is gonna be really good. It seems like that one dude knew the real Touko and that explains why his memory is messed up. Mito being able to see Touko is also interesting and makes me wonder if she’s got a connection to her? Mai and Nene being linked by their careers explains a lot of the similarities we’ve noticed with them.

I’m wondering if in some worlds, Mai does become Kirishima Touko. Maybe the relationship Nene and the other guy from Hokkaido have is that they were similar to Mai and Sakuta, but things didn’t work out for them. It would fit with the idea of them being alternate versions of each other

That cliffhanger tho.. February 4th is coming up and it looks like the dream with mai getting hurt is gonna come true, how will sakuta stop it? Using the power of a smartphone, surely lol

Holy Peak!! So much stuffs, so much stuffs, I guess we all agree that the greatest plot twist of the series is Sakuta holding his own smartphone (lol).

First up, the rumors about Mai-san being Kirishima Touko have escalated, almost everyone is already talking about it in #Yumemiru enough to crash the servers.
Interesting how Santa's case is REALLY similar to Mai-san, how they were a center of attention until not, Mai-san went on hiatus and no one payed attention to her that which turned her into Schrodinger's Cat and now Nene-san with a similar case but instead Mai-san took the attention from her, or rather made her not special anymore. No wonder she is linked to Mai-san, that's the connection.
Another thing is that Nene-san might be borrowing the name "Kirishima Touko" from someone else? because she can't claim the credits through that name to reaffirm her existence... and Mito might be connected to all of this too, because it's weird that she can see Santa and that she seems to know some stuffs regarding this, maybe she knows who the real Kirishima Touko is?
OH. And Takumi might be what Sakuta is to Mai-san, the reason he came to the university is to be with Nene, just like Sakuta. Now he just need to recreate the legendary confession!!

Tomoe came in clutch, as expected of Laplace's Demon, she knows the possible futures from December to April!? She thinks she's Shoko-chan huh!? lol, also funny that Sara joined her in the part time job, they are similar after all, the rejected heroines team!
Everytime something happens, it's always Mai-san's life on the line, there is also the case of Panda Kaede coming back (no it's not fine, but I miss her *CRIES*).

Im so excited for the next episodes, im so hype, hype, hype!!

Damn, now almost every one of them is experiencing these dreams. Azusagawa's friend might have come to this college for Nene. But since she's forgotten he doesn't remember her. There's clearly some history between them. She even took his muffler and placed in the table. Now Koga's dreams are frightening. It seems to be coming true. Azusagawa's dream is where Mai announces that she's Kirishima Touko but Koga's dream is completely off from it. Based on the timeline of events. We don't know which events would come true and which universe it would lead to.

wow... they really drew hard on the concept of 'the collective unconsciousness' in this one. along with the really REALLY old definition of 'meme'. being an infectious thought or idea that is passed from person to person like a disease. this thought or idea is expressed in its entirety fully formed and complete, as well as identical to its original no matter how many persons it passes 'through'.

The spotlight is finally on Touko Kirishima/Nene Iwamizawa, or should I say Mai because she was the one onstage at the start of the episode lol. And wow things got confusing quick, everyone is having dreams of the same day and some of the dreams don’t make sense giving how things currently are in the present, Futaba on a date with Kunimi for example, and there’s also Tomoe who went and dreamed of multiple days, including an awful part where Mai gets seriously injured, I’m glad my girl Tomoe is relevant again but I didn’t want it like this lol. And the worst part is, Mai getting hurt is looking like it might become reality with the police chief for a day event being planned at the end of the episode, and Mai not having a dream but everyone else did doesn’t bode well either, this is some heavy shit doc lol.

And we also got some interesting new info on Santa here, so she may have known Sakuta’s college buddy in the past, and said buddy can’t remember why he came to this college, something tells me he can’t remember because it’s directly related to Santa, cool to see the seemingly random new friend character is relevant like this. And the reasoning for Touko’s puberty syndrome is likely to have been caused by Mai, it’s all coming together now man, it feels quite satisfying to learn all of this stuff finally. Now I just wonder why Mai is coming out as Touko Kirishima in that dream, but I’m more concerned whether or not she gets hurt, these last two episodes are gonna be pretty intense I imagine.

And that was what I’m guessing is the final ED, another very nice version, I think these visuals might be my favorite so far.

Don't know if I should be more excited or worried about the prospect of Panda Kaeda returning even for a day. Sakuta is almost guaranteed to have another breakdown but, like, it's Panda Kaede.

Please don't have Rio's dream be fulfilled through Kunimi granting her her "final" wish after being hospitalized. Hoping I'm way off with that train of thought.

Fantastic episode once again. My queen finally getting her spotlight as deserved. But I noticed something odd. The ED for this ep was about Touko Kirishima (Nene Iwamizawa). But the singer was not Ueda Reina. What could this mean? Ueshama can sing quite well, so it has to mean something else right? Could it be the real Touko Kirishima's voice? Questions, questions!

The amount of people experiencing the dreams and talking about it on social media has really taken off now. Some of the dreams were pretty wholesome, like with Futaba's dream about going on a date with Kunimi, but other dreams do sound more worrying.

It's also an interesting comparison that Sakuta's friend at college and Nene Iawmizawa (Santa Touko) both hail from Hokkaido, so you can't help but wonder if that's more and just a coincidence. One thing that did help Sakuta was that Mito as also able to see Nene in her Santa miniskirt outfit as well, so the two of them had a meaningful discussion about her.

Unfortunately, Mai's call to Sakuta did confirm his worst fears about her taking on a role as a police chief for a day. Tomoe's dream was a wild one, thanks to how much time it covered, but since she also mentioned this event involving Mai and how she gets injured, hopefully Sakuta can do something to prevent Mai from getting hurt. After the events he went through in the Dreaming Girl movie, I know he will do anything to make sure those type of scenarios never happen again.

Mai Singing and Sakuta using a phone was not on my list. But damn ill take it.

Tomoe is back & did a great job with the which is nice to see.
Is my precious panda kaede about to make a comeback?
Takumi and nene do have a similar relation to what Mai & Sakuta had but without the good ending.

The dream with mai and touka entertwining is making me scratch my head for real, plus toukos puberty syndrome cause still in the air. But mai is really in a tough spot for now & also having a identity crisis with touko.

Sakuta has a phone the series has a come full circle just as I finish catching up.

This look way more interesting than last one with that shitty charcter. And she's taking away very limited Koga screentime as well, f of..

For some reason I thought this will be about the Yoshikawa but atleast she got what she wanted.

Mito is genuinely my favourite character this season. Just like Snata girl she is also hiding secrets maybe.
Kunimi dating Futaba seems the most unrealistic out of all.

Everyone sharing some kind of common dream world is interesting, like Touko's puberty syndrome is affecting everyone. It also seems to me like Touko and Sakuta’s classmate likely knew each other from Hokkaido. She’s probably the reason he came to this college and we're probably getting a similar story to Sakuta and Mai in the beginning of the show.

From what I could understand from the episode and from Sakuta and Kaede's dream: Mai-san has an accident at the police station, is hospitalized and unconscious for days, loses her memory and ends up "transforming" into the Kirishima Touko that everyone believed she really was. From the scene, it seems like she forgets about Azusagawa and is no longer with him.

So Santa girl and Fukuyama have some past..Maybe the orange scarf he wears is something that was given to him by Nene??.. Was not expecting the guy to turn out to be the love interest of the 3rd main character of this season.. and I don't even mind to be honest. Sakurajima already has enough girls fawning over him. Let the poor chap has 1 girl especally one who seems to be the childhood friend otherwise it would be a sad NTR if Nene starts thristing over Sakuta as well.

Also Miori.. The first new girl introduced in this season and we finally came to a revelation that she might be suffering for Puberty as well.. Everyone had already anticipated that but so well in the end of this arc? Guess we will be seeing her arc in the next season (i hope we get one..)

@Marinate1016 Yeah Takumi had to be sacrificed as a background character who only thinks about dating because his original reason to choosing the uni had disappeared - Nene. If Mai gets hurt again and has to stop being so available in the public space will Nene get a chance to be perceived again? Just a thought...

It all comes down to more dreaming and now it seems like almost everyone is having one that predicts the future. Dates, trips, accident, there is a bit of everything. Unfortunately, that doesn't really translate to the episode being exciting since we don't know much about Nene and everyone is taking this situation in such a tranquil way.

This season has been quite boring so far, but maybe it could get better in the last 2 episodes. Maybe.

Now its getting more and more obvious that Mai-san could reveal that she is (or will be) Kirishima Touko. At least that is a dream that Sakuta has and when he waked up, Mai-sabstarred so sweet at him. Later in their conversation it was sad that Mai-san had no dream, which which is already very disturbing for the future. So far, it seems like the 1st April will be the day of decision, where Sakuta has to safe Mai-san from a (possible) accident. At least their walk trough the garden and at their time at the onsen seemed to be very nice (like a clear sky before a thunder). When Sakuta spoke some days later with Kaede, she told him about a dream she had of herself from the past, which was first shocking to hear, but Sakuta could ease her tense.

In the following time, Sakuta talks with seemingly every one of his friends and acquaintances about their dreams for the future, with Koga being the most reliable agai. With her connection to Sakuta its revealed that there will be an accident in february, with Mai-san as vicim. So far Koga was able to see the all events from christmas to the 9th of april, which was due to her ability (all in all quite impressive). This brings Sakuta back to Santa, who crosses his path the next day during an exam. When the two leave the exam room, it also becomes clear that 'Nene Iwamizawa' has a connection to Takumi (both are from Hokkaido). After all, Sakuta manages to make a deal with Nene, of course hoping to save Mai-san. It was even more surprising that Miori Nene could also be seen dressed as Danta (especially her way of teasing Sakuta is really cute too). It becomes clear in their subsequent conversations that they are the only two who can perceive Nene (aka Santa). The way they talk to each other is also very entertaining. After all, they can establish a connection between Nene and Mai-san, as the latter has probably surpassed her as a 'beauty queen' for ages (which seems to have taken away a reason for Nenes / santas existence).

The conversation later between Futuba and Sakuta naturally steers everything back into more understandable channels, while Futuba also worries about Mai-san. It seems to be a big step for Futuba to finally clarify the matter with Kunimi (and maybe something develops with Kasai later). In any case, she deserves to be happy. The fact that Futubas dream about her and Kunimi (and the dreams of all others) might show possible realities rather than the future seems to be the most plausible explanation here. At the end of the episode, however, Mai-san tells Sakuta that she will be the duty officer at the police station for a day, which could, in turn, make his worst nightmare come true. It remains exciting again in this story arc....

Sakuta owning a smartphone? Now that sounds like something from another universe lol. Similar to what they were discussing towards the end of the episode.

So Nene/Kirishima and Takumi might know each other, huh? Honestly, I don't know what to think of that. Takumi seems like such a loser.
Also, seeing Mitou coming up with a perfect analysis of Nene/Kirishima on the spot impressed me a hella lot. Women sure are scary.

And props to Koga, by the way. Such a shame she barely appeared throughout this season. I really like her.

Everyone is dreaming, and the future they hold is interesting. Or maybe everyone's just truly been seeing glimpses of that alternate universe that's been crossed over into a few times now.

Did Mai's presence really crater Nene's popularity so immensely that she stopped being able to be perceived by others? That's kind of sad.

Nene and Takumi are both from the same place, and Takumi doesn't remember why he decide to go and leave for this college. I'm getting some nice parallels between this situation and our very first bunny girl incident.

Koga's dream of Mai getting critically injured appears to be coming true... Now that is one glimpse that I do hope can be left in another universe.
