What an episode. I honestly thought this episode was gonna be more on the slice of life/light hearted side but that second half proved me wrong. The part were they had to act out exorcising the spirits was quite funny especially the little dance.

The eternal blazing sun is always gonna be something I enjoy seeing animated and Klein using it to make charms was quite the nice moment, all the background art throughout this show is always so amazing.

The fight was truly something special. Leonard had quite the moment to shine and he did showing off his skills, though I should really freshen up on what his seq and potion is. (I'm kinda forgetful.) Havre and Old Neil, I really liked Havre and I feel for Neil all the best to him. The end moment were he wanted to do it himself was beautiful also the music is always so very wonderful.

The piano moment towards at the end of the episode was beautiful from the music itself to the animation.

I really love this episode. Episode 6 was more emotional but I enjoyed this episode a lot more. It was great to see more characters getting fleshed out.

The first half was funny and goofy, but the second half was a lot more heavy.

I love how the anime kept doing the 'Show dont tell' type of story telling. At the end of the episode when we see old Neils home. You can see the remains of all of Neil's deceased friends, if it were your typical storytelling for an unga bunga brain, the anime would’ve made Klein say, 'Old Neil has so many deceased friends, and he seemed to really love them, judging by the way he kept their remains in his house.' But in this show, Klein kept silent, he didnt have to say all of those sentencr, if viewers has enough brain cells then the viewers should be able to understand what the Donghua was trying to say.

This Anime has been doing 'SHOW DONT TELL' alot in the past eight episodes. But rather than getting the appreciation it deserves, some unga bunga monkey brains complained about how the show didnt give the viewers every little explaination for everything.

People are so used to unga bunga story telling that they couldnt appreciate stuff like this anymore. Or maybe, they're just too young to appreciate it? When I was a teenager I also didnt like this type of story telling.

Great episode once again. The creator said this was his least favourite episode from 8-13. If it was this good, I can't wait to see how the team adapted episode 9 (his second favourite episode).

It was obvious what's gonna happen to Folan since there were too many red flags 😭😭
Folan definitely got derailed by the Lanevus's wife who's carrying the True Creator in her womb.

Klein orchestrated this Ghosts at the dock incident through Azik just to get his hands on his sun charm weapon. He's crafty.

Tbh i anticipated myself to watch a little disappointing episode because the directors said this episode was among the least satisfying episode for them.

Turn out it's not bad, this episode act to build up what will happen next which is what i need the most from this donghua adaptation (the story is rushed af). And i welcome that.

Poor Neil. He's keeping the memories of his friends. Anyway, I thought Klain failed bcz of the monster, but he managed to collect the sun charms. I wonder how they work thoπŸ€”

Let's go for sequence 8!

Best episode so far in the series. We got to see a lot of character interactions, slice of life moments and Klein's internal monologues. Leonard is just aura farming and the ending was perfect. This episode got me hooked.

Tell me bro how tf this is author and directors least fav episode bruh? This is everything I yearn for in LOTM. Its perfect down to the last minute details. Man I feel for Old Neil. His loss of family and friends and loneliness is just hard to watch. Poor Havre. What did the pregnant women do bro? The fight sequence was amazing. And the Piano at the end. Chefs Kiss. Now my standards went too high lol. Hope LOTM keeps this up and it might be my fav of this year at this pace

Moonlight Sonata played on a piano is always a bliss.
Didn't expect it at all but it surely matches the atmosphere in this anime and even more that particular mourning moment.

@Dudied yeah, the music is brilliant
@Niwaka-Samurai it's "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven (damn Emperor Roselle, you even brought Beethoven into that world lol) and yes, it was hauntingly beautiful. It accentuated the atmosphere sooo well.

I enjoyed this episode a lot!
The first half was so goofy and light mooded and I think this series really needed that. Klein orchestrating stuff behind the scenes and playing his little games, so he could get his hands on Sun Sealed Artifact once again to complete his two charms.
The fight was also intense, but seriously, Klein getting entangled in a rope and acting already like a clown in circus... lol. At least he's lucky and kicked the monster in teh face in perfect timing.
Haunting orchestrated by Azik... I didn't expect that. lol. The whole part was so funny, from possessed townspeople to Klein and Old Neil doing 'professional exorcise" with garlic and dance. I wonder what Godess was thinking, seeing her devout believers like that...

I kinda cheered for that spooked horse to actually ride through that pregnant lady, but.
I see red flags all around.

The quote from Cuttlefish

Cuttlefish: "My favorite and most anticipated episode is definitely Episode 13, followed by Episode 9, then Episode 11. Between episodes 10 and 12, I prefer Episode 10. Episode 8 doesn’t have particularly standout moments, but it flows smoothly overall."

So yes, the episode was indeed his least favourite among episode 8-13, but it doesn't mean he thought it was bad. This just means there's more good stuff to come.

It started light-hearted and then out of nowhere Harve loses control and becomes a monster. Klein should be suspicious as the other times we've seen this happen the person was under a lot of stress or botched a ritual. To suddenly lose control off-screen with no indication other than some convenient death-flags smacks of malice.

@annice123 well, the pace is still fast and many things are happening so it's no wonder. It is hard to pinpoint such things.
Klein put emphasis before that Seer lacks ability to fight opponents directly, so he only can play support role and rely on external things like guns and charms. He's also aware that there's some powerful mastermind behind it all and his twisted destiny. So he wants to get every bit of strenght he can... and sun charms, using the very blood of the god, would be his hidden trump card for sure. Better safe than sorry.
In that piano sequence... I guess Klein was just for the first time thinking deeply what trully means tht most beyonders end up dying because of losing control and it's often their former teammates that have to pull the trigger. Plus that it isn't like there is big red sign that someone is on the verge of losing control. The sheer shock that it may be anyone anytime.
Also, Old Neil was keeping things after his lost comrades... Two engagement rings, bracelet his wife wore (the same she had on the photo), diary/notebook of some colegue of his and now also Havre's flask.
About Clown Sequence well, "something missing" part is simply that... it's not so simple. Usually it takes 3 years to be able to advance, as Dunn said previously. But Klein is ready for that in like, just 1 month or so of being Seer. And he cannot advance just because he wants, he cannot go again to Old Neil and ask him to concoct the potion for him. So yeah, there's a lot of circumstances to take into account.

This is the weakest episode of the series. The show was 11/10 for me till this dropped.

About the "great loss" ... yeah my parents are so old that they have buried their parents, ALL their siblings and ALL their friends, they are still fine. Very weak emotional bate suitable for 12-25 year old children.
