| I'm not afraid to confess my disappointment and annoyance with this. I also wish the announcement was more detailed with their reasons why, to reassure fans and keep us in the loop. It was quite the bomb drop. |

| There are still more arcs after this so just wait patiently, but the story goes downhill and getting more ridiculous from now on anyway, While I enjoyed the show until this Jeju Island Arc, I definitely do not look forward to the next season, not really a fan of completely useless side/support characters. |

| @MyllerPhiem that's a voice actor... he has ZERO say in how fast a production happens. the director Nakashige can't start it on his own. Solo Leveling S1 started in Jan 2024 and S2 Jan 2025 ... that means for the past 3+ years A-1 Pictures has been working on 'Solo Leveling' AND SAO: Alt GGO, NieR Automata, Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!, Mashle, Hypnosis Mic, and Atarashii Joushi wa Do Tennen. A-1 also has projects already on the books AFTER Solo Leveling S2... Fate/strange Fake, a compilation movie Aldnoah.Zero (Re+), Lycoris Recoil: Friends Are Thieves of Time which is 6 short movies each one with a different director, and Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Movie: Taboo Night Kisses already has an official theatrical release date of 9 May 2025 which means A-1 was already working on that one at the same time as Solo Leveling S2 and everything else i've written up. so, you want to KILL some employees at A-1 Pictures by making them work even more hours per week making Solo Leveling S3 at the same time as everything else they've signed contracts and been paid initial investment capital? or maybe be considerate that A-1 needs to make something OTHER than one show at a time? just because A-1 is ANIPLEX and therefore SONY Japan's primary animation studio... doesn't mean they can do everything everywhere all the time. be patient, wait a year or two or more and you'll see what happens. |

| @FreezeP18 yup, A-1 does seem to have a full plate right 'now now'. plus, my titles listed for A-1 only use MAL as the primary source. heck if we know what INTERNALLY they're passing around the office or have teams assigned to yadda yadda yadda. additionally, that Aldnoah.Zero movie IS a compilation movie. not unlike the first Code Geass movie was 95% TV cells reused and edited together differently with some itty-bitty pieces of new cells created. or the other myriad of anime movie titles that just edit and retell their respective TV Seasons' stories. so, who knows how much 'in the trenches' A-1 animators will be in for that movie VS the editors working themselves ragged. but! to compare, J.C. Staff DID create and put out ughh... more than 10 but i think like 12? titles in 2023 through '24... i looked them all up months ago for a different discussion on how JC's quality 'here' or 'there' was low or 'why was DanMachi on hiatus' or something... i forget the exact # of titles and timeline and discussion etc. so SOME studios can handle SOME highly tight work schedules with lots of titles. |
