I finally just went through my ratings and bumped like half of them down a number so now it kinda ranges from 6-10 which doesn’t feel as top heavy. | Satisfied. As for yours, just don't sweat it dude. They're just numbers. I've seen people who've rated way higher than you and they're cool with it. Not to mention you're relatively new to anime. You're merely at the phase a beginner weeb goes through which i have too. |

| I think for a while most the stuff you'll watch is good until you've seen a lot of the stuff thats popular. Rate stuff whatever, can always go back and adjust later on if they don't scale with new shows you watch. I think I've done this a couple of times as well. |

| It's fucked up. Real fucked up but I don't give a shit. Basically, if an anime is good I give it a 10, and if it sucks I give it a 1. As simple as that. Sometimes I give out 2-9 but that is on a rare occasion. |

| Well I use the entire rating scale. All my ratings I'd say are fair in regards to the limits of said genre and its merits. I have as much 10s as I do with 1s. I tend to keep a open mind rating mostly on enjoyment |

| That is fine just rate as you wish. I used to have high mean score in my early time when starting to watch anime. Now that I also try to expand and explore more type of shows, my rating is dipped so quick that it could burn a house lol. As of now I'm quite satisfied with my own system. Remember not to sweat over numbers because scores could mean entirely different to others so be proud with your capability in rating. |

| Honestly, it's ur ratings and u should not give any damn about what others think about it. As for me, I instantly rate an anime right after finishing it, and I never change my ratings. That is the reason my ratings are wayy too high. And Im okay with it. As for some cringe animes that I've watched earlier (e.g. High school DXD, Domestic GF) are also highly rated, cz that's what I felt back then. And I'm sure if I rewatch those animes I might just rate them lower than 5. But I won't just change my ratings. |

| Just rate the way you want to, it doesn't matter as long as it comes from the heart. <3 If you see people with relatively low mean scores like in the 5.00 range like myself, it's usually because we want to be able to more easily differentiate our higher ratings, to more clearly show which ones we think are better than the rest. This is an extreme example, but let's say someone rates all their anime as 10/10's. How would you know which anime they like more than the other, without them specifying? If 7 is your standard, you only have 8 9 and 10 for your good anime, and you have 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 to show your bad anime. Which, usually comes off as being a waste, as normally we try to steer clear of bad anime. But if you're like me with 5 as being OK, then it's perfectly balanced, as all things should be Or maybe you just really enjoy most or even all of the anime you watch. In that case, that is great, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! ;) edit: Just saw that you actually have set 5 as being your "OK" score. In that case, if you ask me, you should just keep everything as the way it is and keep enjoying anime. |

| Don't care anymore. The list is too large, too varied and made over a time period that is too long to have any use beyond simply being a checklist if I watched something or not. I rarely give a rating these days. |

I go into almost every anime thinking it could be a 10/10 or have a big emotional connection with me. I always try to find that, generally. I wonder a lot tho how my bf doesn't think I'm judgy. | I tend to obsess over my ratings a lot, and right now I'm satisfied with how I've rated whatever I have watched. But with that being said, my avg rating is way too high for my liking. Weirdly enough, when I compared my ratings with my MAL friends whose overall average rating is lower than mine, I found that my average rating for shared anime is usually lower. Guess that means the quantity of anime watched is the issue, not necessarily the rating scale. |
| I feel that now I give scores stricter than before, especially after completing my 100th anime. I'm too lazy to review the earlier scores too. But now I'm more satisfied with the ratings as it feels more justified to give 8 or more to less works. Many works indeed fell between 6-7. |
| For me personally, I'm not that satisfied with mine, but I guess I am somewhat happy with it. I feel like I'm being too nice to some shows while being too harsh to the others, but then again I also don't have the time (and mental energy too, honestly) to actually tackle those cases. In my opinion, rating everything a 7-10 feels a bit pointless. Unless you're a new fan, I don't think every anime you've watched is good (7/10). I'm sure you've seen shows that are fine (6/10) or just average (5/10); rating shows 6 or 5 doesn't necessarily mean those shows are bad, they're just not good enough. (I took the definitions from MAL btw, if you have different rating systems then this doesn't apply to you). But then again, this is MyAnimeList, not ObjectivelyCorrectAnimeList, so feel free to do anything you want with your ratings; don't be too concerned with my (or someone else's) opinion. |

| I only rate anime between 5-10. That's my policy. Few in mine are 5 and 6. Most common found are either 7 or 8. I hv quite many 9 and 10 too but not as much as 8. Basically you don't hv to feel guilt or too high or something. I did sometimes get very unsatisfied or a bit mad or question any scores that seem so absurd (too high or too low) but I just keep them to myself since I hv no right to judge ppl's score. |

| I feel very satisfied with mine👌 And yeah, it’s entirely up to you how you want to rate. Honesty is what truly matters imo. If using a 7-10 scale is what you feel works best for you, then feel free to use that. Personally, I prefer to utilize the whole 1-10 scale since I like being able to rate in nuances. There are different degrees of good and bad in anime, and a 1-10 scale does just the trick for me. |
