Do you think Demon Slayer is amazing?

i have watched around various anime and still think its amazing (it's definitely in my top 5). still, i consider it for the manga and not what's currently out in anime form.

i just think that while it isnt a masterpiece, it does a well job at balancing interesting characters with a simple plotline and feelings. i would change some things about it but i still love it.

While I’m still a weeblet, I think I’ve watched a decent amount of shows, more than most people have, anyway- Demon Slayer has been a good show. The balance of having great music, absolutely beautiful animation and comedy throughout was nice to see. Though I wouldn’t call it amazing, I’d still say it’s a great show, and well worth the watch.

If I were to compare to a master piece such as One Piece. It cannot view the greatness of One Piece. But that doesn’t make it a bad anime, in my opinion I found it good. In the end whether an anime is good or not it depends on the viewer. I still don’t understand why FMA BH is the top one in terms of rating.

While I did just start watching anime I thought it was good, after the movie it’s very good because of what they are willing to do idk how to spoiler tag but I think you know what I mean, I mostly judge a show by the story, and the story is interesting but it’s not amazing, it has no flaws but it’s just not crazy enough to be amazing.

It's a very generic show with average characters and godlike animation. However I still had a fun time watching it. It knows what it's doing and it doesn try to be unique. And as a wise man once said: Dont try to fix something that it's not broken.

Which characters do you you find interesting? One of my main problems with the anime is that so many characters are just shallow and annoying

As much as i think s1 was ok for me and my 6th anime when i started watching anime, it's a good start for people who just started watching anime since it's easy to understand what's going on imo. Also planning to read the manga once i have time

Was it your first anime though? I seriously can’t see how someone can see it as a 10/10 when compared to other anime.

Which characters do you you find interesting? One of my main problems with the anime is that so many characters are just shallow and annoying

the hashiras and frankly genya. out of the four mcs... i like them (i dont really like zenitsu tbh) but thats about it. but i really did love the hashiras.

in any case, it comes down to personal taste. there are definitely more quality plotlines and characters out there, but u cant help what u like and what u dont.

it wasnt! i watched dragon ball and pokemon as a child (tho i dont really count them) and my first ones when i was older were death note (which is honestly peak fiction) and fullmetal alchemist brotherhood (all time favourite). there are many others i watched afterwards too.

but still, i do know its not objectively the best out there and that there's going to be ppl who dont enjoy it as much, and thats okay. taste is taste, its subjective.

I like how many people are just talking shit about the anime no one from the Demon slayer fandom is giving a fuck about them .
I just wanna say one thing ,if you think it runs on animation just don't watch it dude. You can just watch Fate series and their are many other anime with good animation .

I see demon slayer as one of those shows that you either love or you hate mainly due to how much anime you've watched. I've watched a decent bit and love it to death. Sure it's very simple and easy to pick up and understand and the characters and story aren't really that special, but that never constitutes something as being bad or terrible. sometimes simple is better and that's one of the reasons I can appreciate it so much.

That is exactly what anime is for isn't it. I have watched over 60 anime series, i think it's good and animation is God tier. Also the voice acting in Japanese is superb

Do people honestly have low expectations for animation? Not to say that I only like Demon Slayer for the animation. I do like the story as well. But who expects subpar animation from any show that's animated? Especially an action anime? It's honestly the most nonsensical criticism I hear from any person who criticizes a shounen anime.

I agree with you on everything except comedy for me it was pretty decent show but in matters of comedy it was trash and zenitsu really annoyed me remind me which of the parts do you think were funny

I actually love Demon Slayer. Not only for its animation but for its plot. Yes, it's generic and predictable but it's still very enjoyable and made me cry many many times (I'm talking about the manga). I feel annoyed and sad when they create threads about Demon Slayer being overrated. But at the end of the day, I don't really care. All I need to know is that I love Demon Slayer.

1 note characters, boring plot, nonsensical worldbuilding, and fights that (while visually fantastic) hold absolutely zero emotional weight. I have never struggled to watch a season of television more in my entire life. The promise of episode 19 is the only thing that kept me watching and it was beyond disappointing. There is almost nothing enjoyable about this show, i consider it one of the worst, most disappointing shows I've ever seen (and I watched the flash until season 6)

I don't absolutely agree but I disagree to the statement that it was not enjoyable it might be generic but still enjoyable and the fights obviously carry emotional weight i was not hyped for ep 19 so I was dazzled at the experience I got

But who goes into watching anime without any concern for the animation? The whole point of an anime is to promote a mangaka's work. If the action sequences and art are bad in the anime, then what does that suggest about the work of the mangaka? A manga's story is told in the art through actions, gestures, and expressions. Personally, I don't know why everyone takes ratings on here so seriously. You don't have to base your rating of the show on how good it is compared to other shows you watched, just on your own enjoyment of the show. So while I don't think DS does anything crazy original, I gave it a high rating based on my enjoyment of it. Not that hard :)

I think it's good and it's not one of my firsts btw

You should watch the movie tbh, one of the greatest things about it is Rengoku imo and his portrayal of a main theme in DS which is Mono no Aware.

Kimetsu no Yaiba is very good. All those people saying it's mediocre, average or overrated while only giving the argument that it's liked only for the animation obviously have little experience with anime as a whole.

KnY doesn't have amazing animation. JJK actually has amazing animation, but no one is talking about it.

Yes, KnY might be generic, but the same can be said to the majority of the shounen you have in your favourite as well. Generic doesn't make something bad. It's the execution and the combination with other department such as the characters and worldbuilding that makes a "generic" story enjoyable and good.

However, if you can't see ahead the """"subpar"""" animation, then you're doomed to never understand what makes KnY a good series.
