 Greetings everyone to the first session of our SummerWatch Challenge! To start off, I’m happy to host this event to allow beginner anime watchers to jump in to the catalogue while invigorating veteran watchers to challenge themselves to dive deeper to find some titles. It’s been more than a year since our last event on MAL. With all that said, let’s get this event started! This Session’s Theme: THROWBACK THEATER Since this is the first event we’ve done in a while, let’s start with something easy. For this session, the requirement for this session is to watch shows that aired before 2010. Revisit the past and watch some of the more memorable (or not so memorable) shows made at the time! How to Participate To participate in the session, simply make a post in this thread with a link to your MAL profile. As you finish titles, update your post to include the titles you have completed! Participation in this event is optional, and you are not required to participate in this session to participate in future sessions. Rules - Create a post in this thread with a link to your MAL profile to participate; update your post with a list of titles you have completed (link to the title when possible) - Titles you plan to watch for this session must have started and be completed during this event - You are free to rewatch any title you have seen on your list, but you must mark them as “rewatch” - Titles you watch in this session cannot be used again in the next session - Completion of this event requires one title to be completed, but you can watch as many eligible titles for this session as you want Session-specific Rules - Watch a show that aired before January 2010 (shows that aired before January 2010 but end after that date are still eligible) Want a Greater Challenge? Go back a few (3-10) years after every entry you complete. For example, if you watch a show that aired in 2007, watch a show that aired in 2001! See how far back you can get before you stumble! Feel free to start at any time during this session, but the session ends on June 27th! So be sure to get your post and list in before the end of the session!
