Konata... no question. Nearly everybody knows who she is even if you haven't seen the anime. She's even used in memes about otaku A LOT so if ou don't you'll at least probably recognize her.

Just to clarify, I know of "Lucky☆Star" as well as how it includes references to "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", but I have never seen anyone refer to any of the characters in the show on forums before until now.

All I have seen is people posting how it's just a slice-of-life and they never really go in depth of why they enjoy it.

To restate something I said earlier, more people know who Nobita from "Doraemon" is.

Haruhi Suzumiya or the K-ON moeblobs would be better characters if we're talking about being recognized.

But for reals, any of the Big 3 would be even more well known.
