has a nice first episode and had potential but it goes down the drain since the second one, If you didn't enjoy the first 5 episodes just drop it , It ain't worth it if you're not a huge fan of slice of life like myself

the pacing for 2nd part is normal so don't except anything boom blasting episodes. there aren't anything really. but you may continue to watch that badminton episodes. it was worth every second.

Even as a slice of life fan, I'd say it's not the greatest, but definitely not bad at all. Still, if you didn't enjoy the first 5 episodes I don't think you'll enjoy the rest of the show

The first 5 episodes are very representative of the rest of the show, if you’re not enjoying it now, you almost certainly won’t enjoy the rest

@igurnur The show isn't much about romance tho you get to see Loids and Yors relationship improve in part 2 and end of part 1

It's a slice of life and comedy mainly focused on Anya and the struggles of Loid and Yor face as a family

Its comedy is pretty good and the slice of life interactions are also top notch also the animation quality doesn't drop

However since most of the show you watched are based on action/thrill you probably won't like it since the plot progresses slowly as they flash out the slice of life to be the top aspect of the show
Though there are moments where you just feel thrill which is basically Loids doing spy stuff and the Bomb arc is pretty good where the dog is introduced

Give it another few ep or wait for a the arc to finish and if you still don't like it then drop it but you can watch it in the future once if you tend to switch up to Slice of Life interaction and comedy rather than thrill or action

It's great from Ep1, but only if you know what you are getting into (I'm a manga reader, so I always knew what to expect).
The first few trailers were a bit deceiving, and so far too many people jumped in with the wrong mindset.
If you didn't enjoy it on the first 5 eps, I suggest dropping it, because it won't change much from that point onwards.

For the first season, there are some decent - good episodes but overall I don't think it was very good. Part 2 was just terribad tho. No redeeming factors.

if you didnt like episode 2 I honestly don't know what you like or are looking for.
Tried looking through your anime list to get a good idea. Ig you like action anime with melodrama...? Only thing I can think of for your high rating of AOT and all of SAO but your 5/10 rating for One Punch Man.

I thought the drama backfiring on Yor's friend and Twilight standing up for her was pretty good
The anime is mostly just Anya doing badly at school but acting very comical, with Twilight occassionally doing spy stuff
It doesnt really follow Yor's assassinations

The spy aspect is shown seriously in the beginning but later on Anya becomes the main part of the plan to work which is why its comedy Centralised in every aspect
Tho you can see Loid being a spy only to help Anya and to solve problems and I suppose there is 1 arc where things get serious but it's further in the story

Damn there is a lot of SpyXFamily hate in these comments lol, to each their own I suppose. I think it's a great show, lots of good humor and goofy moments. It's not action packed like a shounen or anything, it's more a slow-paced and humorous slice-of-life than anything else. It's a chill watch, simple and easy.

A lot of these comments say it's flat-out bad, but I would disagree there. I think some show styles just aren't for everyone. If you watch nothing but shounen you probably won't like SpyXFamily, doesn't mean it's a bad show. A lot of takes in these comments suck, people don't really know what they are talking about. Most of the negative comments seem to come from people who can't differentiate a bad show from a genre that just isn't for them, they aren't the same thing.

That said, I'd agree with the majority of comments here, if you don't like it by now it's probably not for you.

Honestly, I thought it deserved all of the hype it gets.
I knew going into it that it was a SoL comedy. I didn’t know so many people expected a shounen/action packed show; I thought everyone knew it was a SoL. It’s family friendly. Extra extra bonus points for no fanservice or harems. More bonus points for having adult MCs and not high schoolers.

I think the tags for this anime/manga give people false impressions. Doesn’t help that the first few episodes are also action packed as this doesn’t have a lot of action, except at points. But it is more slice of life comedy so if it isn’t your thing you should drop it.
