Another great episode. Yet again a solid 9/10 imo.

The visual of DREAM DiVINATION was stunning, I love how it reminded me of Christopher Nolan's Inception movie.

And Leonard, the fuck you mean by 'Two protagonist meeting'? You ain't a protagonist in this show.

Another (seems to be) major antagonist character introduced this week, his name is Tris. And this guy just turned into a (hot) woman? There's a pathway that could could GENDERBENT people? Well... interesting.

@ReMightyRon Yes, it was great. Those women were the ones killing everyone. Damn, that was so weird at the start, making an Opera after a recent tragedy. Just WTF? LOL That World is messed up.

I gotta say it once again this anime truly has some of the best animation, every scene is just a chefs kiss from the background art to the animation throughout fights its all so good.

Once again a very good episode, we got the introduction to Tris and another cool sequence pathway. The underground market was beautiful and a lot different than I expected and the chase sequence throughout was very nice. The big fight towards the end of the episode was really good and the display of powers from all the pathways is always nice to see.

Im glad we got some nice moments with Old Neil and a montage of moments. Congrats to Klein on his pay raise.

Overall a very solid ep cant wait for more.

@supremeone55 despite the episode not confusing there will be people saying "this is confusing" just because they're unable to read the subtitles properly in this thread.

@Jfs_ I think it's confusing because China like just dropping terminology with a dictionary definition on the side instead of a character explaining something but at the same time if you kinda just ignore the definitions you can figure out what is going on through the broad strokes. Even if you are a native speaker the quick definition of terms are on screen way too fast to read.

And here I thought we got a goth waifu, turns out it was Tris gender bender or now it's Trissy. Now it makes sense what it was meant about being a witch and why all high ranking demoness sect members are women.

Curious about the demoness sect. They are the evil god worshipper bunch in this kinda story that wants destruction. Also instigator are people who rouse evil desire lurking in people. Is this power different than beyonder ability?

Animation once again really really good.

Btw if they are having so much trouble fighting a sequence 7 I wonder how much more powerful the even higher sequence beyonders are.

I made a comment not so long ago in ep 4, saying that I understood everything that's happening, and that I was enjoying the anime, it is still the case with this episode I even say this is the first episode where I didn't had any doubts except the timeline of events, but other than that is fine. The problem here is, that theres not a single moment to breath, I dont mind an anime giving me lots of lore and more, shit I dont mind watching one as complex as this one, but here is a mess tbf because they dont stop giving you lore and info. I always think before giving a viewer/reader info is better to let them breath, for example: lore dump about some organization -> moment of tranquility and let the viewer get used to that info -> THEN another lore dump. Imo that's a good way to give the people part of the world building slowly, In this anime it feels overwhelming, to the point it kinda hurts the enjoyment, at this point I feel every episode will introduce an insane amount piece of lore instead of introducing it slowly through the plot. Keep in mind that I dont care for big world building, honestly thats always my favorite part of an anime/book/game or wtv. But the biggest flaw of this anime is that they jumpscare you with an insane amount of info of a shit ton of stuff since episode 3 (i gave the benefit of the doubt at first), now, today I managed to read the novel for like 12 chapters or so, and holy shit it makes the whole experience better. And yes, I know, different mediums, but that's not the point. In the novel Klein is actually charismatic and smart. He's not special, which is a deep flaw I see the anime do, I didn't mind this so much because i though he was gonna get humbled in later episodes, but Klein from the anime and the novel are two different people. The one of the anime seems generic, "the chosen one" and your typical isekai protagonist. The novel just erases that thought and actually makes him interesting. So far, I'm seeing this anime as a new 1997 berserk, sure, is cool, is great. But along side the original work is just a baby vs a hydrogen bomb. And im seeing why novel readers were hyping this up so much even though im only in like 12 chapters or so. I'd say if you are really interested in this story and world, please read the novel, it genuinely kicks the anime in the balls. Is it dense asf I agree, and I know adapting all of this is hard and some sacrifices needed to be made. But if the anime were to have at least 24 episodes, maybe an hour long first episode and without tencent dumb restrictions this would be so much better. I'm not hating the anime by any means but I'm not glazing it either, I'm just being honest, there are HEAVY flaws and im sure there will be much more users here which would add more honest and clear flaws without being a full on hater. This episode while I understood everything I didn't enjoy it as much as the others, shit ill say it even felt tiring to watch. But yeah, thats my opinion, I tried my best to put my thoughts on to this because theres some feelings that somehow i cant put into words regarding this anime. Though, besides the few flaws i said, there's a lot of stuff were the anime improved on compared to the first 3 episodes, animation, pace, soundtrack and the overall direction of some scenes. But yeah, dont lynch me for expressing my opinion, I still think this episode made me realize a lot of the flaws of the anime. And rewatching episode 1 and 2 I realized once again how bad those episodes were, and how crazy hypnotized I was when I first watched them.

I've to admit this episode is very open to gender expression beyond what I expect from Chinese animation. We see Tris change to Trissy and act as Trissy as if he's born to be her in the first place. Such a prideful act.

It was such a perfect episode. pacing, animation,storyflow, lore, world building, character, some daiy ife montage. it was perfect. but people are saying it's worst in all episodes and no one is mentioning the reason. why ....?

I haven’t gotten to that part in the novel yet so i can’t say shit. But genuinely read a little bit off the novel and you’ll realize there’s a lot going on. Based on what i read so far, the characters on the novel genuinely feel alive whereas the anime it feels like if they were dolls.

@supremeone55 dont bother with those novel readers. There will always be source materials fans talking shit no matter how good the adaptation is.

Mushoku tensei, Rezero and many other anime has great adaptation but some small amount of novel readers are still complaining about those adaptations.

What matter the most is the majority of the audience, so far i've seen many anime onlys liking the adaptation despite them not used to chinese dub. And more people will enjoy LOTM when major events start happening in the future episodes.

@Wwwwat I think the Studio has done a good job, so that anime onlies can now easily follow and enjoy WHAT is happening on screen. What's stumping many is the question WHY this all had to happen. Hopefully future episodes will delve into it and next episode is looking to have an all important scene in the Grey Fog.

I can’t remember but I don’t think I saw that it said in the novel sequence 8 is called “instigator”? Everyone is saying assassin which is sequence 9 but also the pathway name I think. Basically Tris used instigator to make people go crazy on the ship and commit mass murder.

As yet another quality animation that suffers from scattered understanding and poor plot explanation. If the Chinese would only work on dubbing their works. The language just isn't suited for western ears. It lacks the nuance that can be visually imparted into animation in my opinion. That said, this is a visual masterpiece that should only get better.
