| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The difference between Orochi follower who pissed their pants and the average Oden enjoyer who are ready to follow their lord. Big Mom is happy, tho, can't have enough manpower. First half of the episode was pretty slow, there were many flashbacks in general, the Marco original part was ok. I knew the rest had to be good. And indeed. Momo declaration was hype. Great that they chose Luffy's fierce attack as OST. Then it got wild for real. Like holy shit, the Akazaya charge was straight heat. The animation turned up, the black and white effect, the kabuki elements, just wow. Their entrance caught everyone off guard. They followed suit with a spectacular squad attack that had Kaido shook. "Oden..." His grin at the end had the same effect on me. This addition was the ideal finish. What a blast from the past. I rewatched that part like 5 9 times by now and I'm still having goosebumps. Amazing way to start the raid. I'm glad the Akazaya get their spotlight after holding back their sorrow, frustration and anger for so many years. Thinking about how much meaning is behind that attack makes me all emotional. There's more than enough time for Luffy later. I appreciate his awareness of the situation. Props to the animation director Shingaki Shigefumi and the animators JunWen Tan, Tu Yong Ce and Henry Thurlow. Extremely well choregraphed and nicely animated(would be cool if a sakuga enthusiast could point out who did which part, I'm not quite sure) They did that sunacchi scene justice with these levels of epicness. Saved the episode. That and the true highlight that was Yamato's side boob. And that Luffy calls her Yamao. Oh and there will be no episode next week. Torture after this cliffhanger. P.S. | The last few minutes of the episode with the scabbards were incredible. It made up for some of the slower stuff earlier on The way they handled that was pure hype and It was satisfying seeing Kaido get hit like that |

| So much for being loyal to Orochi, left him in a minute, while Oden's followers be suffering for 20 years and not giving up. Momo showing his courage off getting an Overtaken moment for himself! Perospero being sus, Marco being cool as ever, Yamato realizing Kaido really wanted to kill her if she ever tried to escape and then the Akazaya Samurai just killing it, scarring Kaido down as if Oden was reborn with crisp animation by Toei making this episode a goddamn treat!! |

| The ep. was fine, but that ending with the Akazaya members was just amazing. On another note, I highly doubt that both Kanjuro or Orochi is dead, but we'll find out later on. |

| Bro wtf they didn't have to snap so hard in those last few minutes. Literally out of nowhere they turned the heat up to 1000. What a scene, I especially liked the part where Kin was cutting straight through the enemies, that fast-paced choreography was something else. And these animators keep blessing us with Yamato side boob. The true heroes, greatly appreciated 🙏 |

| IS IT JUST ME?! Or has the animation gotten waaaay better than before!? I wonder if my massive purchases of Japanese One Piece manga and figurines helped with that O.O The Akazaya group really do inherit Oden's will, they're way ahead of the game. And of course I expected Luffy is calling Yamato's name the wrong way xD For Big Mom it's suppose to be "QUEEN of the Pirates"!! >:( not "King of the Pirates" BUT I DID NOT EXPECT IT!! I thought Yamato will keep on having her explosive cuffs on for a while, but this makes it even better! THE LAST SCENE WITH THE AKAZAYA MEMBERS!! I GOT SO EXCITED THAT MY HEAD AND FACE STARTS GETTING HOT FROM THE EXCITEMENT! IT WAS SO INTENSE! I felt like 90% of the budget went on animating Yamato, she looked waaaaaaaay too stunning this episode! Ahh the episode is over now.... :( PRAISE YAMATO'S SIDEBOOBS!  Yamato's personality is so unique and fun to watch, in addition to her amazing voice AND Waifu! |

| This was a good episode, the animation was also good for the most parts. This was Momo's big moment and Toei did a great job adapting it. The last few minutes were just breathtaking, from the incredible black and white sequence to the Sunachi, they did a great job adapting it. On a side note though, Toei pls do something about your sound design and editing, it's annoying when characters' footwork doesn't match the sound effects. Although I enjoyed Yamato's side boob and I'll keep doing that in the future, why did they had to go out of their way to make her breasts bigger? just why? |

They made them bigger so Yamato could compete with Robin and Nami for favouritism, seeing how Yamato is sooo popular right now, when she barely even appeared in the anime, for the 1000th chapter celebration, Japan decided to make a character popularity poll, and she got placed 11th place, just for her appearance ALONE! At that time, we did not know much about anything about her! But i'm not complaining! I'm happy with how she is now! |

| I knew from the preview to expect tons of flashbacks, but they still annoyed me. The last 5 minutes were excellent, but there's a bittersweet feeling since logic dictates that the Akazaya's assault will fail, plus as great as the animation was, it almost seemed like a distraction to make up for the slowness of the first 15 minutes. |

| The first half was fine but kinda slow, but then b&w Kin'emon kicked in, I already love him, but that whole scene made him even cooler and the final attack against Kaido and the sunachi were killers. |

| Lots of build up with Momo's and Kaido's flashbacks in the first half, but holy shit, the second half was just on permanent FIRE! Respect to Momo. A kid like him was more brave as these pathetic "samurai" of Orochi who threw away their pride to now serve under Kaido. And Momos declaration gave me a big smile on my face. This was such a giant "fuck you" towards Kaido lol. So Yamatos handcuffs really exploded, what a surprise with such a father. Luffy taking them off looked awesome and from there this episode got on a steamroll. Man I love Luffy so much, without thinking about it at all he stopped Yamato because it's not his or her job to start this battle. The transition to the Akazaya where everything went into black and white was superb. I don't think it would have had the same impact if they made it in color, at least that's what I personally feel. I don't even want to think of how much I said "Omg" during this scene, lol. Finally they got Kaido, as well as his subordinates completely off guard without them having any chance to strike back. Even if I don't think Kaido got injured too badly it's such a satisfaction to see the Akazaya Nine finally getting revenge after all this time of waiting and being patient for the right moment. Also interesting was the little chat between Marco and Perospero. Surprising how much Perospero actually hate the fact that the Big Mom pirates allied with Kaido and that he intends to kill him. I wonder what Marco will do, now that he knows this. There's no going back from here. The big battle finally has begun and I'm sooooooo excited to see what happens next. Ps: I agree with the Yamato side boob shot. And more screen time for my fav One Piece waifu = always a win :D |

| I appreciate the brief flashes of Yamato fanservice here and there, the side boob shots and her various poses throughout the ep were delicious. Speaking of service, now Orochi's followers are now officially part of the Beast Pirate, under Kaido himself. The fact that they change whom they serve so easily shows just how little their loyalty is for Orochi aside from a select few. This marks the beginning of the all-out war in Onigashima. The entrance of the Akazaya samurai and the first direct attack on Kaido is the first clash of the war and boy is it fantastic! Pure art even! The fluid animation and the visuals needn't be questioned as these kinds of scenes are usually always got a wonderful level of it. However, the OST in this part was awesome, simply breathtaking. Get ready for a long, long, long war!!! |

| Now, that's one heck of an entrance from the Akazaya members! Surprise attack to its finest. If this is any sign for things to come in the near future, I'm bloody excited. Props to Momonosuke for gathering up the courage to reveal his true identity despite the pressure. Yamato's fanservice moments were delicious indeed, certainly wouldn't mind more of them y'know. |

| The ending moments of the episode were incredible and very well done. The animation in those moments was really good. Akazaya entrance was god damn awesome. I'm proud of Momo. He has come a long way. Looks like they added the Marco part as an original and it was alright. Enjoyed the episode but there will be no episode next week. So, just keep that in mind. |
