A lot of things make people cry, most of the time completely different things, like somethings, a person could just throw it over their shoulder, but it could be traumatizing for somebody else. what makes you cry, and why do you think it makes you cry?

If I can get attached to a character to a certain degree, I start caring and symphasizing with them, and certain emotional events such as a friend or close person dying, an extremely happy moment, anger and dismay, they all have the same emotional values on me as the character himself. Add a touching piano soundtrack to that and it's all tears for me.

Anime like Nabari no Ou - that means anime that I can easily relate to. Same things goes for movies, although it's harder forme to get impressed by movies.
Then if if I'm in a lot of physical pain makes me cry too - and by a lot, I mean a lot.I'm not a crybaby for any single minuscule amount of pain but when I was seriously hurt, I did cry.
Other times I cried was when lots of my friends abandoned me without a reason. But now I feel happy about that.
Yeah - in conclusion for me crying is not a thing which happens only once in a blue moon.

A touching story, beautiful music, extreme happiness, feeling really loved. And then the obvious ones like a person or a pet dying. Not as poetic!

I barely shed tears.
Last time I actually cried, was wayyyyyyyyy back in primary school (4 years ago).
Some guy I was friends with wouldn't believe me, then I beat the living out of him and cried (lol). Don't think most people would cry after that but yeah...

I haven't cried in 7 years, if I recall.

So, I have no idea what could make me cry nowadays, I guess an unbearable physical injury could make me cry, other than that I can't think of anything.

I'm not as much of a wimp I was a few years ago and I find it more difficult to cry in sad situations. Seriously I cry more at Films and Anime than I do anything else. I hadn't even teared up in many many months until two days ago when I saw Toy Story 3 which sounds really ridiculous..

So far..... Only anime has made me cry :P

Nah I am kidding, As a kid I would cry when my parents told me off and punished me by making me stand in the horse stance for two hours. But that was when I was four. After that I pretty much don't cry to anything.

Though Clannad after story, Kanon, and some episodes of One piece and naruto got me going :P.

Things like movies and anime and books that are intended to be touching can usually make me cry.

And those stupid "Help a starving African child commercials." They're horribly sad yet I know donating money probably won't make too much difference. I mean, someone's fat pockets are going to have to fill up at some point, right?

Generally I don't cry, I have no idea when I cried last time...
But sometimes I feel like I'll cry when I listen classical music (especially compositions with violin).

Touching stories, whether it be a movie, a book, an anime or a real life thing, can make me burst into tears. I can shed a tear for some random acts of kindness sometimes, too, they make me regain faith and hope in humanity. I usually don't cry for personal things, except disappointment and failure.

Things that are touching, but for me touching things are a bit different.... I find little birds touching, for example.

Good thing I don't watch television in the morning. Prime time ads tend to be on popular brands I could care less about.

I don't like seeing other people crying... Especially kids or girls. Like if you've ever seen the show Intervention, that stuff kills me.
On the other hand, when I hear a really touching story where a person is being heroic I can also start to cry. Its happened a few times when I was watching the show What Would You Do.

Why am I crying?
Why am I lost?
Why did I stop?
Please tell me
When will I grow up?
How long can I stay a child?
Where have I come running from?
Where am I running to?

I had no place to live. I couldn't find one.
I don't know if I could have any hope for the future.

They always said I was a strong child.
They praised me, saying "you must be strong to not cry."
I didn't want those words at all.
So I pretended not to understand.

Why are you laughing?
Why are you by my side?
Why are you leaving me?
Please tell me.
When did you become strong?
Since when have you felt weakness?
How long must you wait
for the day you understand to come?

The sun is rising. I must go soon.
I can't stay in the same place forever.

You will someday be betrayed by your trust in people.
I thought it was the same as being rejected.
At the time I didn't have that kind of strength.
I definitely knew too much.

They always said I was a strong child.
They praised me, saying "you must be strong not to cry."
The more people said things like that,
the more even laughing became agony.

I was born alone. I'll go on living alone.
I thought that surely that kind of life is appropriate.

hm.. definitely when someone close to me says something that hurts me. i used to be really sensitive about that sort of stuff though, i mean it didn't even have to be someone close to me for me to cry about it.

lately though i've just been crying at random times, for no real reason.

oh, also when i really disappoint someone close to me or disappoint myself, i tend to get really upset about that.

Sad or heartwrenching movie/anime scenes, sometimes when I'm in doubt or overwhelmed, when a close person or close relative of mine dies, heartbreaking manga parts (like One Piece last month...my god...) and deaths of charaters that I liked/ loved and songs that are really moving or emotional (Thank Yoko Kanno for that).

I cry too easily. Deaths, lovers departing, heartbreaks, music, emotional speeches, etc... I also cry when I'm angry. Like during a school fight or something. What's up with that?

The most recently I cried was when I watched Toy Story 3.
Pokemon still makes me cry. 5 Cm. Per Second made me cry too. Every time I watch The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, I cry near and/or at the end. Even Lucky Star and School Rumble made me cry. And that's something I really didn't expect, considering the non serious natures in most of their episodes.

I assure you that these are manly tears of joy. Except for Toy Story 3.

And when someone I care about is troubled, extremely upset, hurt (physically emotionally), etc. I tend to cry when a close friend or family member is crying

Those commercials are retarded for one reason. They advertise horses being killed for their meat as animal cruelty. What the fuck? What the fucking fuck? It's the same as cows here in America. It's the same as chickens. You just want to draw in all the ignorant fucks and take their money.

I do agree with most of their cause, though.

Exactly this. In either movies, books or anime.

Also harm to animals makes me teary eyed, or anything to do with hurting kids. I cry when I'm really frustrated (more like teary eyed), and know something isn't fair. Of course not relating to like, losing in a video game or something. I also tend to cry when I'm REALLY happy about something, like a reunion I saw on TV of a family or if things are going right for a sad person.

Last time I cried was when I thought that my mother was going to die, what made it worse was that it was my father's fault and he didn't even care to drive her to the hospital. I was so mad at him then I could have actually killed him back then.

If that doesn't count then the last time I cried was when a close friend of mine died in a car accident several years ago.
