| Well, that ending was abrupt, but that was pretty funny overall. The part where the manikin came running down the hallway and then just busted out the window and breaking everything on his way, lol... so unnecessary. Looking forward to the next season for sure. This anime's humor is more like Gintama than anything I've watched before. Even more absurd a premise, too. All the jokes about genitals are still there - that's what I needed, something stupid and crass like this, with a little action on the side. It makes me want to re-watch Gintama from start to finish. |

| Timestamp 02:36 — Slam Dunk reference spotted! Loved hearing both the opening and ending songs—total nostalgia hit. The anatomical models... creepy as ever. Hana gets rescued instead of Taro, which means the number of weirdos in the house just went up again. Okarun’s spot as Momo’s potential boyfriend is definitely under threat with Jiji in the mix. That said, both guys are hilariously quirky—truly two peas in a pod. Taro, meanwhile, spends days on the run trying to find Hana—and finally does. But now it's time to confront the cursed house tied to Jiji’s trauma, where his nightmare continues. One of Okarun’s “nuts” is still missing, and his rivalry with Jiji is heating up. The tension between them feels like a strange mix of bromance and battle, and of course, the occult element takes center stage—especially with Jiji’s priceless reactions. The cursed house, tucked in a quiet hot springs town, seems harmless enough in daylight… but that’s clearly just the calm before the storm. While Momo takes the opportunity to relax in the co-ed bath—surrounded by old men pretending to be alligators (???)—Okarun and Jiji stumble across a hidden wall leading to something dark and sinister... and that’s where Season 1 ends. What a ride! The adaptation has been stellar—not a shock considering it's from Science SARU. Absolutely loved it. Season 2 has already started airing, so I'm diving in next. Final score: 8/10 on MAL. Finished on: 11th July 2025 at 22:23 IST.  |

| Other studios: finish one story arc and end the season like that. SARU: start the new story arc and cut it with a double cliffhanger. I did not enjoy the first part of this season but it grew on me and I really enjoyed spending time with this weird series. I like the characters and the folklore. I really hope to see some famous yokai like Kuchisake-onna or even my favorite, Teke Teke. Adding to the plot even aliens, it has a huge potential for weird fun. My favorite episode is the one of Acrobatic Silky, it was the peak. I can give it a 8/10, maybe not for the plot but because SARU was on fire and I laughed a lot of times. |

| Really enjoyed marathoning this first season today, very enjoyable anime, fantastic character dynamic and an amazing episodic pacing. That ending was also quite something and I'm glad I'm watching this now while the second season is currently airing so I can directly continue as this cliffhanger sure was something! All in all a great watch! |

| I will forever hate Jiji for ruining the dynamic between Okarun and Momo. If he wasn't into Momo I'd love his character. I love the focus on his missing nut as a distraction, lol. "Nut nut nut". Why does Momo always end up in a position where she is about to be forced? lol |

| Well at least it looks like Okarun is getting along with Jiji, the competitiveness seems to not be too serious so it makes for some fun moments. Glad I'm watching it when I am since ending on a cliff hanger like that is brutal, but will be sure going into the next season straight away because of it. |
