| No fucking way. They actually continued from that fucking cliffhanger in episode 1. And they didn't just quickly brush it away either. They used the whole fucking episode. Bravo. I'm actually impressed. Since I expected them to completely ignore it because it changed so much. I thought maybe they'd reference it in the last episode of the season as a throwaway gag or something. So glad that wasn't the case. Now I'm finally watching the new season. I wanted to finish season 1 before season 2 started but I just couldn't find the time because there were so many other things to watch. Glad I didn't just decide to not watch it. This series is fucking wild. But why is season 2 just called "New" Panty and Stocking? What are they gonna do if they make a Season 3? Call it "Newer" Panty and Stocking? Hope they won't take 15 fucking years to make another one. The new episode 1 was fantastic. The plot was crazy. Panty without her vagina is actually not a bitch! Wow. Wish they kept her like that for a while. Also, I guess Stocking isn't really a demon. It wouldn't make much sense anyway cause Panty and Stocking supposedly came from the same angelic mother. It turned out to be mind control. Typical. But Ig explaining it the other way would've been way more convoluted and possibly ruined the status quo of the series. And that type of lore doesn't work in this kind of anime anyway. So kinda glad they did this. Tho I wonder if this was the plan all along. Anyway, TRIGGER fucking killed it. So glad they got the rights. It feels so good to actually watch the show in proper HD. Don't get me wrong, the original still looked good. But it didn't make much sense to me why there wasn't a proper HD master of it. I mean, the anime's from 2010 so it should've been possible. So was it just a stylistic choice? Anyway, glad the new season looks just as much, if not better than the first one. I watched the show recently so I have no nostalgia for it and don't see it in rose-tinted glasses. The new music is great too. And as I feared, the English dub cast was recast. Sad. No offense to the new VAs. But I just found out that Christopher fucking Sabat voiced Garterbelt in season 1??? No fucking way. I totally thought the VA was black. Lmfao. He's not the voice of Piccolo (and Vegeta) for nothing rofl. Meanwhile, they actually got a black VA for the new one because apparently that's how things should be now (thanks ProZD) who somehow sounds less black than the original. Crazy. The Japanese cast is the same as expected. But I really liked the performance of the original dub. Might be one of the few dubs that are better than the OG. I feel like the new dub script won't capture the absurdity of the OG dub. Both cause it's made by Amazon now and that 15 years later things have changed and some jokes (acknowledged in the anime itself) might not be acceptable which is a shame. Anyway, still looking forward to watching this shit weekly. |

| It's been 15 years since Panty & Stocking ended. It's been 5 years since I finished watching Panty & Stocking. I wondered what would happen after that ending, and now we finally see what happened. PANTY & STOCKING ARE BACK!! Although for them it was only 5 minutes xd The episode was really good. Stocking was actually being controlled, and Panty was the only one who could make her see reason. Although first she had to be regenerated. And what she had to do was fight. Fight and argue xd Stocking returned to normal and Corset was defeated. And now Scanty and Kneesocks have joined them. The angels have returned to Daten City. The thing with Garterbelt at the end, hmm. Let's see what happens, pretty good episode. The ending is very good. Here, many images xd  |
That's it. We peaked. Imaishi and Trigger come back to break all the ruru and save anime again, 12 years after Kill la Kill. The hype is real. I'm so ready for more demon sisters' bullshit. Almost cried when their theme started playing. SAVE US FROM ISEKAI, TRIGGER! |

When it comes to shows returning after a long time, you always have to lower your expectations, due to the real possibility that they can't recreate the same magic as the original. Well if this episode is anything to go by, I'm glad to say Trigger has managed to pull it off! |
| Jumped into s2 straight after finishing season 1!! This was a nice return episode, didnt find much of it funny but they also had to resolve that crazy cliffhanger lol. I hope they find their footing and start getting crazy again. I just have a feeling this season will be a lot more feel-good than the last even if its just as vulgar, idk why its probably the ED and the 15 year time difference between the two lol I already miss the old VAs a lot but hopefully these new ones will get comfy with the roles. |
| When I first watched this in high school, I thought it was cool and edgy. Now that I’m 30, it feels embarrassingly crass and immature, but the nostalgia is strong, so it’s still a lot of fun to watch. It’s nice seeing the series in a whole different light. |
| Ah yes, this show 100% making me reminisce on all of the wild times of the past. Remember when I went to a con and they were announcing this show in it years ago. About time to get this ball rolling. Life without Panty.. can't be all that bad. Then again I've always been a Stocking > Panty fan. Do like the causal line drop from Garterbelt of "you've been contemplatin' the universe for the past 15 years" tho π yes, we have been. Like how the demons just get dragged in βοΈ prob are gonna be needed. Poor Stocking getting morphed into a giant ghost π EYO π ok. Stocking did the world a favor making an innocent Panty. Briefs got some goals π So THAT'S what was missing π the whole core of her being. Her...big burning.. surprised they didn't touch it more. But hey. While every other person falls to the big burning soul, he has the stamina to bring it to the goal. Rest in peace city that's going down π«‘ banger beat to this fight tho. I'll give Stocking whatever she wants. First ep is already a wild ride. |
