| I've been playing bowling for years. Though at an amateur level, I even used to play serious tournaments annually, before covid-19. When Turkey! was announced, I was so glad that we finally would have a bowling spokon, which I was wishing for for years. And, the cherry on top of the cake, with CGDCT. I don't have enough words to describe my disappointment about what this anime turned out to be at the end. I feel scammed. I feel betrayed. |

| I am a great fan of spokon anime, but I usually reject girls spokon stories because I cannot bear the kawaii attitude of the whole cast, very common in those ones. So that's why I wasn't suppose to give Turkey a chance... But I had second thoughts, so finally I watched the first episode. Ok, that girls don't seem too kawaii-coded, but... Oh, wow, what was that end??? I'm going to keep watching... I guess. I'm just curious of what it's all of this about. Let's see. |

This episode was nice even without the ending. The drama at the start put it above the fluff CGDCT we get every season 😂 For the people saying they've been betrayed, there will always be CGDCT every season, it's not that deep.
| @Cestlavie_ It's not about it just being CGDCT, people added it to their list because it advertised itself as an anime about bowling. People have every right to be annoyed about the creators being deceptive. I'm still going to watch because I want to see how they're going to mix the warring states period with bowling of all things but I'm also very annoyed about being Zenshuu'd again. |

This is the third time since starting to watch anime in 2016 that I've strongly felt a particular anime had a disgustingly deceptive and flat out dishonest marketing campaign behind it, rooted in full and complete deliberate deception, in a way utterly insulting to and disrespectful of their audience. To the point of inducing pure incredulity.
First Higurashi Gou in 2020, then Zenshuu earlier this very year, and now this.
I sincerely hope that it isn't a trend others look to for inspiration, which catches on like wildfire and that we get an accelerated rate of production of these, essentially, mass organized lying campaigns.

It's not serious enough to launch a street protest, start a war, enter into crying fits and a years-long clinical depression, or commit suicide over. Is it serious enough to dislike and disagree with the decision and a write a comment on an internet forum to that effect, expressing such a view, which took me all of a minute or two to write and in the exact venue and place for such comments and discussion? Yes, I'd surely say so. Now, how "serious" that is is impossible to quantify, but it's no doubt up to each individual person how to feel about it and to what extent, like anything else. |

All-female sports anime are usually way too underrated, if you don't count Girls und Panzer, Keijo!!!!!!!, Uma Musume, etc.
So, this time the girls are up for some bowling. Quite a unique case, like Iwa-Kakeru! Sport Climbing Girls, Kandagawa Jet Girls, and Puraore! Pride of Orange (ice hockey) for example.
Entertaining and also a very surprising start. I expected this to be more like an ordinary sports anime. I definitely didn't expect a time travel story.

I was also looking forward to watching this anime, since it was going to be about bowling but since I saw a forum on here yesterday mentioning the time travel part I just lost interest in wanting to watch the anime. I also did watch the second trailer first and the first trailer second on YouTube yesterday as well to see how vastly different the anime turned out to be. |

| The name of the school is "Ikkokukan High School". The last names of the main characters are Otonashi, Nikaidou, Mitaka, Ichinose, and Godai. Yeah, even before the time travel twist it was blatantly obvious this was another Rumiko Takahashi tribute anime kinda like Astro Note from a while back. But whereas Astro Note was a more direct tribute to Maison Ikkoku and maybe also Urusei Yatsura, this one uses names from Maison Ikkoku but pits the characters in the Sengoku period like Inuyasha. That's pretty crazy. It's shocking that no one has mentioned it yet. I was interested in Turkey when I first heard of it. But with so many other shows to watch this season, I wasn't sure if I was gonna watch it. Then came the news of the twist reveal and I knew I had to check it out. I kinda wish I wasn't spoiled about the twist. But without knowing about it, I probably wouldn't have given this show a chance. Another interesting fact, other than the names of the main characters, is that many of the supporting characters are voiced by veteran Rumiko Takahashi VAs! Seriously. Shampoo's VA Sakuma Rei voices Natsume, Kasumi's VA Kikuko Inoue voices Suguri, and Akane's VA Hidaka Noriko voices Sumomo! The other VAs are also veterans who voiced many iconic characters. I bet there will be more. This, alongside the recent announcement of Mao getting an anime, makes it truly feel like we're in a Rumic Renaissance. The first episode was pretty good. The production value was higher than expected. If this show has action then it might actually be good. But I honestly kinda would've preferred it if this were just a bowling anime. Idk if the rest of the series is going to be any good. Astro Note was a cool Maison Ikkoku tribute but I feel like it would've been better without the alien nonsense. I hope the Sengoku period setting isn't just for show. Anyway, it got me hooked enough to make me keep watching. I wish there were more "normal" anime that took inspiration from Maison Ikkoku. Sure, there are some that share a similar setting. But none quite feel the same as Takahashi's magnum opus. Also, I just found out this anime was announced 3 years ago in late 2022. That's fucking crazy. I wonder if they planned this twist from the beginning. |

| As a fan of CGDCT, especially when it comes to sports, I was eager to watch Turkey, and it looked to be an emotional roller coaster....then came the time slip thing which pissed me off royally. I dropped the show after that because it felt like a bait and switch, and I have zero patience for that sort of thing! |

| As usual with a lot of these anime that focus on a sport with cute girls, there's way too much talking about girly stuff. They spend more time talking than bowling. I only came here for the twist The TWIST!!! |
