| That cliffhanger was devious work. I still enjoyed this series. My biggest problem with this show is their frequent usage of the, uh, infamous NSFW plot device which I shall not name. Throughout the entire season, I was able to tolerate it (besides the first episode); it elicits feelings of negativity in response to antagonists that perform such outrageous acts. But the last episode in particular - eh... it left a bad taste in my mouth. I hate it. I really do. But it also makes me all the more impatient to find out what happens. If that was the author's intent, they did a pretty damn good job. And I despise that! Waiting for Season 2... |

| It was incredibly boring to watch, so meaningless, so plotless, so weak at its attempt from toilet humor to forced drama... The author lacks talent and skill obviously and best what he could do to copy aliens from Gantz, copy main girl from MC of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun, and make a typical spineless four-eyed mc which can only be hysterical all the time and metamorphosing in chainsaw-man. Everyone is whining, shouting and overacting since form is top priority here because there is no author's point of view, global scenario or even adequately connected events, it's just bunch of random encounters with random spirits and people, this crap should be an anime which consists of 4-minutes episodes since its scenes jumping around in a manner of movie trailers. Characters are worthless too since only functional and superficial. This anime and Chansaw Man are both represent modern zoomer anime - the utter cringe after each corner and a total inability to tell full-fledged story without usage of faking emotional points, overusing references to teenage edginess, and pathetic 'jokes' which need to be vulgar, direct, and of course loud to be 'fun'. Isn't it great when there are so many homemade prudes which like to mock ecchi and anime with episodic fan-service but suddenly forget all of their arguments and grievances when their gaze fall on something like Dandadan or Chainsaw man - prudishness disappears. High rating of these two anime is an anti-rating of people who liked them due teenage opportunism, hypocrisy, and ignorance. Oh, and this anime ends with a big nothing, it really suits this garbage. |
