Total BS episode. Although every episode in this season is trying so hard to emotionally sweep viewers of their feet so much so that it is unpleasant to watch, this episode just takes the cake in that regard.

The over-complexity relationships between side characters, the mundane "gut-wrenching" backstories with their boring and over-used ethos aren't allowing to be impressed but anything other than the fights' animations.

It's a cultural thing. It seems as though many - and "many" is perhaps an understatement - of the Japanese story tellers are uncapable of telling their intended story simply. Complexity shouldn't be a tool to be thrown into the mix so to add flavor - it is something that inherently present and woven to the threads to the plot, from its beginning all the way to its climax and conclusion.

Ohhhh, that guy from the last scene was something. I sense a new and intense battle between him and Furin members, can’t wait!

Haruka is as grumpy as always, but God, he’s one of the best fighters now.

SAKURA'S BLUSHES ARE BACK!! I swear, they're the highlight of this entire series lmao. more screenshots to add to my collection

Overall a wholesome conclusion to the arc, although the whole ordeal felt so rushed that I could barely care about what was happening. It certainly didn't help that the season started in the middle of the arc.

I know it's never gonna be answered, but seriously, hello? Where are all the teachers, police, and parents????

Even when I really dislike a series I try to point out some of the good things from the episodes, so it isn't just all negative. I honestly couldn't think of anything I enjoyed in this episode. Except maybe post-credits scene. The Frank guy could be interesting. Keel certainly never did it for me as an antagonist group. It was obviously supposed to be an emotional episode. The feels just are not hitting me at all in this season. I think I would enjoy this more in a marathon session, so I might just put this on-hold until it finishes.

Now i am curious how Kaji first day as grade captain happening back before. He's pretty sharp tho, always has been looks like, knowing something fishy and then anime kind enough giving after credit scene. Then Gojo big boss said he sees a resemblance with Sakura blushing back in the day one too. Wait what? Well, i am not gonna say much with Sakura and all the yap. Its alright, just, bruh, too much blush, you make me blush also!

I don't actually mind the short 3 episode arc to break in a new season. Really hoping to see some real close 1v1 fights soon though. All the fights so far have been fairly solid but pretty one sided, save Sakura vs Jo, and this is a season and an arc in. Would love to see some of the stronger guys having a tough time. Buuuut looks like maybe we're gearing into some stronger opponents by the looks of the post-ED scene

am i crazy or season 2 is nowhere near season 1? watching this feels like a chore with more sob stories than fighting, and they don't even hit, like a side-side character having almost a whole episode for a "sad" backstory. I remember looking forward to season 2 so much. Either my taste changed since s1 or idk
@griddyweeb "like a side-side character having almost a whole episode for a "sad" backstory". there was literally 3 episodes flashback in S1 for the top2 kids from the other group, this one didn't bother me as much since it was just half an episode.

why my man crying after eating boiled egg? 😂😂😂 fights are good but the "feels" are over exaggerated to the next level. Also what was his reason to stay there every single day? I mean just don't show up next day... if he was scared they would find him, they still can lol, it's not like the KEEL members are dead even tho they out cold for half a day lol

So here it is:
- The amount of pseudo emotional/"dramatic" scenes in this episode is overwhelming xD
- The MC's tsundereness in this episode also went off the scale.
- The antagonist after the credits who for some unknown reason lay all day among his unconscious friends only to get up and talk to himself for a minute XDD

I should give up but I think I'll finish this season, maybe at least some fight will positively surprise me.

I had my suspiciousons at the end of the last season that this was going in a fruity direction. The whole reasoning for the main opposing kid became crazy gave it that direction. It immediately tanked its appeal to me after that reveal despite of how fantastic it was up until that point.

The whole concept of the story is cool. The MC and most of the characters are all likeable and fun. The fighting animation is fantastic too, but they managed to bury all of that. There's too much high emotions and crying for first world situations that don't merit it. The best phrase I have to describe the issue with the story is it's emotionally retarded. Some of it fits, but most does not.

Oh, and now they have the cross dressing MINOR pole dancing in the opening. From my uninformed perspective (I don't read manga) it seems that character is probably going to be pivotal in this season because of how much he appears in the opening. Weird how that character isn't in the promotional images... It's almost like most people don't want to have that crammed in their face. Tyranny of the minority... If you think big deal then imagine the food ingredient you and everyone else in your family hates, but the one person that doesn't hate it keeps putting it in every meal for everyone. That's how the normies, but I imagine those who are offended by what I said don't care because that's a proclivity of selfish narcissists.

I'm going to tune for more episodes to see if this turns around, but I think it's likely I'll be dropping it before the season wraps up.
@portajohn Bro you sound like a goofy as hell “I know it was going in a fruity direction!” Tsubaki is in their third year of high school btw while pole dancing sure isn’t like he’s stripping for money or some shiet. Also why announce yourself that you’re dropping this ain’t an airport no need to announce your departure

Nagato's start being the innocent boy fighting against some thugs, only to have Shingo literally reel him to Keel and be their new sucker punch boy, for Anzai to take this long to finally get his friend back from the clutches of the gang that didn't have his back, it's a resounding conclusion.

For Sakura to single-handedly be the 1st Year's Grade Captain, but still clearly faltering when Kaji and the 2nd Years show up, he feels bad for himself and the others whom he could not lead well, and everyone dons their compliments telling him not to be hard on himself, because everyone shares the responsibility for what they did.

The report to Umemiya feels condescending, yet has his usual sense of cheerfulness that brings relief to everyone, including their good friend of Tsuchiya.

But the trouble with Keel is not over yet, and a real leader emerging from the ashes, Bofurin's coincidences are only beginning...

Damn, I didn’t expect Haruka to show such emotion. He really does care about his classmates, otherwise he would have felt nothing after seeing them get hurt. That speech of his was quite something, and it was amazing to see how everyone huddled around him to let him know that he’s not alone. This is a slow growing cycle that Haruka is going through, but it’s what he needs. As Hajime said, he will get stronger. As Anzai said, Haruka did bring everybody together (not intentionally) to help him get his friend back.

I see why Nagato was doing KEEL’s dirty work. Shingo “saved” him in order to trap him and force him to rob and who knows what else. I wonder how many KEEL members were brought in by force like that.

Hajime is kind of cringe with his power of friendship speeches as Haruka points out in the ending. That’s his schtick, but it’s not like he’s just inserting these lessons wherever. Hajime sort of serves as a way for Haruka to understand these benchmarks that he’s achieving.

So Haruka was able to fulfill his promise to Tsuchiya, but there’s more to this story.

There was a member of KEEL who was pretending to be an underling, but it looks like they have their own gang possibly called Frank (or that’s the dude’s name) that has something against Furin. I wonder what leverage they plan to use and what their plans are.

This season is getting interesting. It definitely has more going on than the previous season with a lot more depth, so I’m looking forward to its developments.

Windbreaker episodes always know how to hit me in the feels. Damn it, that was such a sweet episode 😭 I think this just highlights the biggest advantage this has over Tokyo Revengers, it really feels like a family and you care about the characters and their growth. It may not have the best story, but it feels like you’re watching these kids grow up right in front of you.

Even someone like Nagato who we just met really, you just wanted to see him succeed and get out of that horrible situation. Seeing the flashback made it even worse man no wonder he was stealing. Getting your ass beat/ going further in debt or snatching some bags, obvious choice. That Shingo fucker is just deplorable it makes me happy knowing he and all his lil dickriders are STILL knocked out cold lmao. That Tsuchiya reunion was too sweet 😩

Sakura is an absolute sweetheart for feeling bad about everyone getting beat up. So nice seeing the group reassure him it’s not his fault and they can all move forward together. That sort of guilt isn’t a weakness, it’s a strength and exactly what makes a good leader. Contrast Sakura’s empathy for his subordinates with Shingo’s for KEEL. People will respect you and gladly go into battle for you if they know you truly care about them as PEOPLE.

At this point, I’m surprised Ume didn’t just tell Nagato to take the coat off and welcome him into Bofurin lol. Just seeing him breakdown at the restaurant with everyone being kind to him was cute though. Sakura and Ume have a ton in common with how they handle people.. foreshadowing 🤔 lol

I figured Shingo ass couldn’t have been the real leader with how cruel he was.. real battle against KEEL is just beginning. I’m hype.
@Marinate1016 Why the hell do people keep comparing this to Tokyo Revengers when fundamentally they're NOTHING ALIKE.

Don't get me wrong, I'm loving Wind Breaker, but these unnecessary comparisons are simply ANNOYING to see when it's not justified. It's like comparing Dragon Ball Z to My Little Pony.

Emotional mysterious episode. Glad they finally rescued Atsushi, moreover, i'm happy that they'd all made up with each other; Masaki, Mio, and Atsushi.
That aside, glad Hajime helped Haruka realize why he couldn't fight as he pleased. Last but not least, excited to see what's up with that
muscular-tattooed-black-haired man in the post-credits scene!
@Skuvan No they rescued Nagato. There is no Atsushi, Masaki, or Mio. The three are Anzai, Tsuchiya, and Nagato. Their full names as of this episode haven't been revealed.

The downtime isn't so bad in concept, but it got really repetitive, and just wasn't that interesting.

Last season's Shishitoren had some over-the-top but interesting drama, and it was nicely incorporated into the fights. This time around, there was nothing other than Sakura feeling responsible and the rescued KEEL guy feeling guilty.

This KEEL organization didn't even make much sense... So they recruit people only to terrorize them and squeeze them dry? How would these tactics even make effective soldiers?

Hopefully this was a filler-style arc, and we'll get to the story proper now.
@perseii Firstly, this was not quote on quote "filler-style". This was even BETTER that the Shishitoren Arc because Haruka grew more from this and the emotional scenes actually fit into the story and didn't feel confusing or unnecessary.

Sakura slowly opening up and caring for his friends. So proud of my boy. Good to see Umemiya too. As Ren suspected, keel was just part of a bigger scenario. This new guy looks dangerous but he'll learn his place sooner or later. Anyway where's Kotoha chan, hopefully next episode she shows up.

Everything getting wrapped up this episode. Sakura really beat himself up over getting everyone involved after he said he could handle it alone. I think it was not only a reality check for Sakura knowing he can't beat whole mobs solo. But also that feeling of guilt and remorse he had for them was genuine. Seeing people he cares about being beat up really hurt Sakura. It distracted him during his own fight too. I can definitely relate to how Sakura felt while they were all walking back afterwards. The guilt you feel not being able to protect people, thinking you're superman who's supposed to not just be invulnerable but you should be able to stop anyone close to you from being hurt too. It's difficult humbling yourself to not carry that weight. Umemiya said it best near the end of the episode, you can't change what's been done, you can only carry that burden and move forward. His reception to everything that happened was honestly as expected. He's a super laid back guy so naturally he'd congratulate them. We got some heartfelt reunions and backstory this episode too. Along with that after credits scene revealing exactly what Kaji suspected, there was something more going on with Keel. Some mystery man working them from the shadows. Someone who now has their eyes set on Furin.
@Dukino Yeah everyone at some point has felt that feeling of desperation and this portrays it well. But as you said, there's more coming, and it'll likely be far worse than anything Furin has had to deal with up to this point.

If this KEEL group want money that much they should sell themselves. I'd at least buy some of them for several nights.

One thing I like about this anime is they use the word "suki" without concerning if it has a romantic context or not. Or maybe they really use it in a romantic context, that'll make this even better!

Nagato's recruitment into Keel was under major false pretenses. He was saved by their leader Shingo only to be placed into debt and kept in line through "violence and fear." I'm so happy the Bofurin guys rescued him.

Sakura getting his feelings off his chest was a nice moment too. He doesn't have to shoulder everything, his allies will stick with him.

Post credits scene was pretty good. Looks like a new bad guy was hiding among the knocked out Keel members. This conflict is just getting started!

@Marinate1016 No. The existence of delinquents doesn't make them even comparable. Again, this is like comparing DBZ to MLP. Two different genres. This is like saying that Bleach and Hajime No Ippo can be compared because they both have fighting.

I've been consistent on the fact that Nagato, Anzai, and Tsuchiya's names haven't been disclosed. There is no way to know their names.

Oh my god, bruv, i swear, i do not care, is that so hard to comprehend? I don’t need you or anyone else to know anyone’s names; I’ll call whoever I want whatever I like. Why are you acting like this is your post and I left a comment you didn’t like or something? This is a discussion about the latest episode—anyone can review it however they want. It’s not your place to tell others how to refer to characters, nor is it your job to correct someone else’s review.

@Skuvan Yeah I'm not reading that as you're trying to claim I'm "butthurt" when that is completely false. Don't try to project your stuff onto me.
