| I’m glad this is back, don’t get me wrong. But is anyone else disappointed in the art / animation change? I noticed the different eyes right away. I liked that aqua color the captain’s crest had in the first season, not its gold. I know they change studios for different seasons, but come on, try to give us something similar. Not as bad as season 4 of DxD but I still am sad. |

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |
| No lie, I don't remember anything about the first season. I might do a re-watch of S1, or at the very least, find a recap and come back to this later. |

| Great to see this back again. I really liked the 1st season, it's been 4 years. Funny moment at the end with Isca and Alice. |

At least they removed that shameful part from the OP (it was quite hilarious though).

Just asking because I don’t remember anything being wrong with it lol, also hopefully crunchyroll gets the “fixed” episode because I was planning to rewatch them before the show actually returns and I’d like to see what’s different Edit: So I’ve seen the episode now and saw the part of the OP Chipp was talking about, honestly that was such a short part of the original OP that I barely noticed it changed, but I will admit it does look better now. |

if you all asking the release, crunchyroll already released the new one, replacing the old one , but Bilibili have both version of the episodes, that's why i can compare (hope it wil still be available)..

| The geometry is same as before, but lines are softer and less contrasted—for example shadows of hair, tower in the ending; characters in the background are bit more blurred. As a result, it looks a bit less like a pencil drawing. Sisbell's eyes are now orange like in s1. Starting part of the ending with characters is much better with what white fog, text credits has different font and blue halo effect (maybe I would prefer not that strong halo), ending has better translucent night sky. It didn't changed that much, but now is it little bit better. best edit:  |
| The improvements are definitely noticeable, though they're not always an improvement. On the whole the opening looks better than it did before however they added a rather unnatural cut into the frame where lord Lord Mask shows up about halfway through which doesn't look so great and the ending part where Iska and Alice's backs go against each other is oddly timed and looks sluggish, but otherwise it's a decent improvement. The episode though is another matter, they've added some shading and lighting throughout the whole thing which looks, fine for the most part, but the episode seems to look a bit more overly bloomy and a little more washed out than it did before, which on the whole isn't the greatest improvement. The improvement to the art and animation throughout the episode is there though they are minor on this one. I'm more interested in seeing next weeks episode 2, as that one had FAR more issues than episode 1 did, face shapes were going wonky and changing every frame and they were basically sliding characters across the screen at times due to I assume time constraints. This episode's not bad but not the most noticeable improvement and definitely has a couple changes that might detract slightly, crossing fingers we see something good compared to the "original" broadcast next week. |

| I made a quick comparison of few scenes and I'm not sure how to feel about this: Slowpoke Pics Comparison There's certainly a different color palette, not sure which one I like better yet, but what bothers me is that characters are blending into the backgrounds way more with how the contrast between characters and background is now smaller. Well at least they're fixing some issues as well, I can also see the opening was remade a bit, as animation sequences differ a bit, but it looks a bit better now. |

| The near year-long wait for the rebroadcast of KimiSen S2 definitely is better than what came out last Summer in terms of production (as is Crunchyroll fixing the episodes with their "better quality" Version 2.0 look). But more than just color swaps, it's the same show for the majority of the part, albeit with little differences shadowed for the better. |

| The character design is way worse than the previous season, it felt more generic and forgotable if compared with season 1. |
