@DigiCat literally move locations to find people that'll treat me like a human do you know how hard it is to buy a house in this economy what am I gonna do save 10 years non stop to vuy a house only to find out its 1/2 the the value it was 10 years ago. | I'll give my opinion on the new trailer as someone that isn't excited (to put it mildly) for the use of AI like this. I won't comment on either it's soulless or not. I don't like this generic cute anime girl style so I don't feel I can judge it fairly. And since the character design comes from humans, it's not the AI's fault that it's generic. Regarding the animation, watching it casually, it was mostly fine. It felt a bit uncanny, but I don't want to put all the blame on the AI. I've felt similar with other anime that use little to no AI as far as I know. I think it might be a 2.5D look or something. I also had the impression that it was a bit jerky at times. Looking closer, I think it's missing a bit of anticipation and/or slow in, slow out, but it might also be just my bias. HOWEVER, there is one scene that really bothers me. By the end, when the girl slowly turns to the camera. That movement isn't smooth at all and I can't see any context that would justify it. I'm not an expert, but it looks like the in-between frames aren't good enough. In conclusion, if the whole show looks like this, it'll probably be good enough for the people that don't have strong feelings on AI and animation. Maybe a few criticisms, but not enough to call the whole thing unwatchable. I guess that anime that heavily use AI like this will be just like mass produced industrialized products. Good enough for the people who don't care or can't afford handmade products made by truly skilled people. |
